Hotels in der Nähe von Ishiyamadera Tempel, Ōtsu

Es war mein erster Aufenthalt in einer orthodoxen Machiya und ich war angenehm überrascht. Das Haus ist sehr einzigartig. Die Schwester im Hotel spricht kein Englisch, benutzt aber immer einen Übersetzer. Das Frühstücksset ist köstlich. Im Wohnzimmer gibt es auch einen Plattenspieler Raum, der sehr nostalgisch und sentimental ist. Dajin ist wirklich eine sehr ruhige Stadt. Am letzten Tag des Jahres 2024 habe ich hier einen sehr ruhigen Tag verbracht.

It was a great stay at this ryokan! The hotel is able to arrange a car to fetch you from the JR station. You can call them using a dedicated phone at the station which is used to contact the different ryokans. The car arrived in 10mins or so. The ride to the ryokan was also less than 10mins. The hotel also fetched us to the station on the last day of our stay. The ryokan itself is homely and cozy. We were greeted by an english speaking staff who introduced us to the amenities of the ryokan. There was also a nice welcome tea and matcha chocolate. Our bags were brought to our room as well during this time. The room is spacious and cozy. The hotel prepared 2 welcome biscuits in the room which was a nice personal touch. The room has a nice living room and a great view of Lake Biwa. Recommend to catch the sunrise over the lake! There are 2 normal beds as well as futon beds (need to set up yourself). Both are comfortable. The hotel also prepared pretty yukata for both female and male guests which you can wear during the stay. There are 4 different designs for ladies, and one design for the guys. You can request for different size if the one in the room doesn’t fit you. There is also a full length mirror and a mini dressing area at the side of the living room. It was fun dressing up in the yukata! The toilet, basin, shower and hot tub areas are all separate. The toilet is a little small, but the basin and mirror area is very spacious. The shower area is quite small as well and the shower head is rather low so you need to hold the shower head if you wish to wash up while standing. There is a small stool given for you to sit down though. The hot tub area is semi-outdoor and you can see Lake Biwa. But it is quite small (only good for one person). It was too cold so we didn’t use the hot tub. Instead, we booked the private onsen for 50mins. The private onsen has a private toilet and dressing area which is equipped with hairdryer, body lotion etc. There is a water dispenser as well if you need to hydrate yourself. The onsen area has a washing area, and the hot tub area is spacious for 2 person. There are privacy screens around the onsen area but there is a small gap to let in cold air for ventilation. Wish there is a good view from the private onsen but it was still enjoyable! Dinner and breakfast was Kaiseki style, and the meals were one of the highlights for my husband and I. We really enjoyed the courses which are clean tasting yet wholesome, fresh and flavourful. It was such a sumptuous treat! The ryokan also has a souvenir shop if you wish to buy anything back. Overall, my husband and I really enjoyed the stay here and we agreed this was one of the main highlights of our 12 days trip in Japan. Highly recommend!

Biwako Ryokusuitei war eine absolute Behandlung. Wir hatten ein bisschen Wolken am Bahnhof Ogoto-Onsen, da ich kein Telefon gefunden konnte, aber glücklicherweise haben wir den Hotelshuttle beobachtet. Der Fahrer war wunderschön und machte uns von der Ausfahrt zu begrüßen. Das Rezeptionpersonal war brillant, wirklich freundlich und gab uns einen guten Run durch den Ort. Hausaufbewahrung war auch an Ort auf sie waren auch auf dem Ball und hatten unsere Tatami-Mats für uns bereit, während wir zum Abendessen weg waren. Die wirklichen Sterne waren jedoch das Essenspersonal. Sie waren unglaublich professionell und dauerte die Zeit, genau zu erklären, was wir essen und wie man jedes Essen genießen kann. Sowohl Frühstück als auch Abendessen waren Top-notch 😋 Ich denke noch an das Essen jetzt! Eine richtige (heim weg von Hause) Erfahrung

Room is very spacious, comes with 2 sets of facial acre products both for man and woman There's even a 6 CD player with preloaded CDs inside ranging from Jazz to sentimental songs for your relaxation Food are delicious and nicely decorated Every day it comes with some free local snacks like financiers and biscuits One incident that didn't quite went well is early morning after breakfast As we are rushing to head out before housekeeping and there's no more water in the room, we return to the dinning hall and try to ask the staff to help to fill up some water in their provided water bottle. one lady took over the bottle and head to the kitchen to fill up, but we can hear she's complaining to her colleagues about it. Shortly, while handing over the bottle, she signal us to leave. We did so but once just stepped out, she simply slams the dinning hall shut! I was surprised by her reaction. It was quite rude of her to do that. If it's against the regulation, they can rightly say so and communicate upfront than doing this repulsive reaction Overall, a nice stay amid a slight mark on the service rendered

Nachteile: Das Hotel hat keinen Aufzug, daher müssen Sie Ihr Gepäck selbst ins Zimmer tragen. Da es sich aber nur um ein oder zwei Etagen handelt, ist das akzeptabel. Vorteile: Hervorragendes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Für nur 700 Yen extra pro Person können Sie die Yumotokan Onsen (Thermalquellen) nutzen. Alle drei Onsen sind ausgezeichnet, insbesondere die beiden im fünften und elften Stock. Abendessen und Frühstück sind köstlich, und für etwas über 2.000 Yen mehr können Sie Omi-Rindfleisch genießen – ein echtes Schnäppchen! Die Zimmer sind sauber und ordentlich! Sehr empfehlenswert!

Gosh, where do I even begin? This stay was frankly perfect. The view was amazing, the open-air private bath was amazing, the service was amazing, the food provided was amazing. There’s even a shuttle bus from the nearby station. I loved it. My friends loved it. The staff even ran across the whole lobby lounge from the check-in counter, and did a full dive into the souvenir store counter for us. Most memorable icecream buying experience.

Insgesamt war ich mit dem Hotel sehr zufrieden! Einziger Minuspunkt war das Essen; es war sein Geld nicht wert! Beim nächsten Mal würde ich die zwei im Preis inbegriffenen Mahlzeiten nicht mehr buchen!

The hotel surprised me with its cleanliness. It was way newer than I expected. The room is spacious. The public bath is awesome, very comfortable with an outdoor onsen. I ordered one night with breakfast. It was delicious. I wonder why we were the only ones being seated inside the by the wall, while all the Japanese clients were seated by the window though. Was it on purpose?

Booked this stay to explore the areas around Lake Biwa. Reception was warm and friendly with an English-speaking host who provided us with the information for the stay. We booked the western style room as we preferred an attached bathroom, however the room condition was outdated and needs refurbishment, like peeling surfaces. The Japanese style room looked better when we caught a glimpse during check-out time. Nevertheless, location and amenities were great. Location is near major eateries and commercial centres by a short drive.
