GGastnutzerFabelhaft auf einem Hügel etwa 20 Minuten zu Fuß nach unten zur Stadt (gewiss einen Rickshaw zurück). Wir konnten nicht bestellen Eier zum Frühstück bis zum zweiten Morgen (nicht am ersten Morgen angeboten).
Das Bad war bei der Ankunft nicht gereinigt worden und es gab Splittermarken auf der Wand über dem Tee-/Kaffeebereich. Wir kamen auch spätestens am Nachmittag in unser Zimmer zurück, um Wartungsarbeiten auf unserem Balkon zu finden - fühlten sich, das hätte nach der Abreise getan werden können!
Fantastische Dusche.
Wir essen in dem Restaurant eine Nacht und das Essen war sehr gut. Die hohen Steuern in Tamil Nadu hinzugefügt zu dem Preis (fast 25%) so beachten Sie das. Cocktails weee ausgezeichnet.
Wir machten den Morgen ’Hike’, was gut wert war, aufzustehen.
Wir hatten am zweiten Abend eine heiße Wasserflasche mitgebracht, die eine wunderbare Überraschung war.
Tee & Kuchen serviert zwischen 5 & 5.30pm, was ein schöner Touch war, obwohl mehr von dem Frühstücksküche wäre gut gewesen.
Ich empfehle Ihnen, hier zu bleiben, da Zimmer, Lage & Restaurant sind ausgezeichnet.

We had booked the hotel for 4 nights, but due to an unexpected emergency, we had to check out one night early. Unfortunately, the hotel management did not provide any refund for the unused night, which amounted to approximately RMB 1,500 (around ₹20,000).
What disappointed me most was the management’s attitude regarding the cancellation request. I also submitted refund requests through Trip.com twice, but both were rejected.

No intercom nor any chairs to sit inside. But we setup a place right outside the room.
You have to phone the front desk for everything. Good parking and open spaces to play. Good was ok. Not bad. The receptionist guy was a bit grumpy.
Apart from that nice chill place .!!

GGastnutzerOrchid Square has given us lovely memories of Coonoor. It was comfortable, clean and the food was excellent. However it was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff that really helped to make our experience here a very good one. The restaurant staff in particular showed good humour. The hotel helped with transport. The wifi connection was good. It was peaceful and our room was spacious with lots of extras like tea/coffee, shampoo/ hairdryer.
The only downside was the distance into town, needing a tut-tut, about 10-15mins travel time. However, we had peace and quiet.

GGastnutzerDie Hoteldienstleistungen waren hervorragende Top-Noch. Das Personal war professionell, gab mir eine Menge zusätzliche Dienstleistungen ohne zusätzliche Kosten, Zimmer waren sauber. Und vor allem die Lage ist absolut großartig. Gerade neben dem botanischen Garten hatte ich einige erstaunliche Erfahrungen. Der einzige Kon ist die Zimmergröße zu klein und ich meine es. Es ist so klein, wenn Sie Ihre Gepäck auf dem Boden halten, dass Sie nicht richtig gehen können. Dies kann ein großes Problem für viele Menschen sein

The rooms take you back the kings era, giving you the nostalgic feel. The rooms are well furnished with antique furniture, paintungs and carpets. The hotel is owned by the wadayar group. The thing which i noticed that stands out is that they have not appointed professionally trained staff. But the staff all are very courteous and helpful. They have been retained for over 3 decades each which shows how good the employers are. Over all the property is a must visit to get the royal feel. Great job done by the staff.
