The Okura Okazaki Bettie is a beautifully designed modern hotel and was the perfect choice for our combined business/leisure visit to Kyoto. The location was reasonably close (short taxi ride) to excellent restaurants and sights in the culturally historic area east of the river. The guest room quality, cleanliness and comfort is excellent - finished to a high standard with large windows overlooking the garden below and temples beyond. Breakfast was served in the restaurant overlooking the hotel's own zen garden. The choice of either ”Kyoto”or ”American” breakfast was amazing, beautifully presented bento style, exceptionally fresh, plentiful and delicious. Indeed this was one of the best hotel breakfasts ever. Finally the service level is exceptional. Both management and staff did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable and hassle free. Neither the most nor least expensive option in Kyoto - just simple great value. We look forward to returning next time.

This Ritz-Carlton location sitting on Kamogawa and Hagashiyama mountains, is one of the best locations to stay in Kyoto. The architecture is gorgeous on every level as you enter the hotel. You feel transported to a particular place that you will never forget. In addition, the quality of service the Ladies and Gentlemen provides goes above and beyond any other Ritz-Carlton location. Staying at the Kamogawa Executive Suite was an unforgettable experience. Approximately 1350 sq. ft., the suite provides luxury accommodations that exceed the highest expectations of any guest. The bathroom is gorgeous, especially the bathtub, where the wall and bathtub are decorated with sakura flowers. The bed is comfortable, and the living room is quite spacious. One thing I would have loved to see inside this room is a Genkan to place shoes as you enter the suite. Preserving the floor and rug is necessary and educates foreign guests about the importance of doing this. Another aspect that I loved about this place was Mizuki. Every morning I visited it for a Japanese-style breakfast, and it was a fantastic experience. In addition, I went to one of their sushi demonstrations and felt that I had a lifetime supply of sushi. Every bite was delicious, and the chef went above and beyond to make every guest feel special. Please make reservations for kaiseki, tempura, teppanyaki, and of course, sushi during your stay in advance. The spa is also a must if you are staying in this location. It is one of my most relaxing experiences, and the facilities are excellent. As you enter the spa, all the details regarding the walk to the counter or attendant, the changing room, and the pool area are planned quite well, so the guest can feel extra special and disconnected from reality. Finally, I must recognize the Ladies and Gentlemen's hard work and dedication at the Ritz-Carlton, Kyoto. Thank Ana and Naoto, for your friendly welcome to the hotel and making things possible during my stay. Chef Tomohiro Goda and his team provided an experience I will never forget at Mizuki. Naoki was friendly and helpful as I researched information. Pablo and Thain were attentive to my needs as I left the hotel and provided a great experience as I checked out. Special thanks to Carlos for leading such a fantastic Ritz-Carlton property in Japan and consideration prior to my stay. This is one of the top Ritz-Carlton properties I have stayed in, out of 25 Ritz-Carlton. I will cherish all the memories that I gained from this place and will make sure to come back in the future.

I came with my wife to Kyoto for an over three weeks’ longstay for the fall foliage. We couldn’t have picked a better place!!! The hotel room is bright with both natural lighting and excellent indoor lighting. It is roomy, and the utmost efficient and functional in its setup in every possible way. The location is excellent, with easy access to all kinds of public transportation. It is also within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and many of our favorite temples. At the same time, the hotel is located in an area that is quiet and tranquil, not overly crowded with tourists. The staff was extremely polite and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. They helped to solve language problems for us with restaurant booking and provided useful advice on where to go for a good meal. The house cleaning was great, with great attention to detail. Overall, we are very satisfied with our stay, and would not hesitate to recommend this place to all our friends.

Besuch im September 2017. Bei der Gambo-Shima im Norden des Pingcheng-Tals befindet sich. We have stayed here four times now and appreciate the friendly, helpful staff, the casual atmosphere, and perfect location. Located on the canal and across the street from the Heian Shrine Torii gate, it’s a pleasant walk to the Philosopher’s Walk, Gion, Kiyomizudera Temple, and local restaurants. The four of us stayed in either Japanese rooms (spacious and comfortable) or western rooms with beds. Both were clean and well maintained. There is a laundry on-site as well as a free coffee machine and vending machines. We had breakfast each morning and chose between the Japanese or western versions. Staff helped us by making reservations at several restaurants and cheerfully greeted us each time we entered the hotel. They have a nice outside deck overlooking the canal which we sat at and shared a drink. Locally owned and operated they have a mix of rooms and styles and work hard to accommodate their guests.

Das Hotel hat zwar ein Zeitgefühl, ist aber gepflegt. Ich besuche nicht jedes Jahr viele Orte in Japan. Der Preis ist etwas höher, da es sich um einen kleinen Urlaub in Qingming handelt. Sie können mit dem Bus zum Qingshui-Tempel fahren. Die Rezeption des Hotels ist sehr einladend und das Zimmer hat ein eigenes separates Bad. Ich ging jedoch jeden Tag ins öffentliche Bad im ersten Stock, um im Pool zu baden. Am letzten Tag hatte ich Fieber, war im heißen Pool durchnässt und ging am nächsten Tag unter.

Die Lage ist großartig, nur einen kurzen Spaziergang zu einer ruhigen Station, die Sie in wenigen Halten nach Gion und Pontocho nehmen wird. Die gleiche Zuglinie verbindet auch mit lokalen Strecken, die Sie zu mehreren der weniger besetzten Tempel nehmen. Wenn Sie Glück haben, hier für die Herbstblätter zu sein, wie wir waren, dann sollten Sie Enkoji und Shisen-do sehen (sie sind nebeneinander): sublime! Die Temperatur des gasförmigen Fahrgasts ist sehr heiß, so dass es nicht sofort reingelegt wurde, es ist wie ein Strafspiel für ein interaktives Programm. Sakura-Besichtigung in Kyoto, es war zu spät, um anzufangen, ich habe keine Machiya gebucht, ich habe dieses Hotel im japanischen Stil mit heißen Quellen gewählt und fühlte mich insgesamt ziemlich gut. Obwohl die Einrichtungen alt sind, sind sie gut gepflegt und das Frühstück wird nicht sehr genutzt. Die Servicekräfte sind alle etwas alt, immer noch engagiert und bewundert. Der einzige Nachteil ist, dass es in einer abgelegenen Straße liegt und der Verkehr nicht bequem ist. Glücklicherweise liegt hinter dem Haus der Kamo-Fluss in Kyoto, mit Kirschblüten in voller Blüte, ein lohnenswerter Ausflug!

Wir haben das nahe gelegene Theater von Kyoto als Wohnort für Konzerte in Kyoto gebucht. Weil ich mich von einfachen Unterkünften unterscheide, warte ich nicht sehr auf sie, aber sehr wunderschön! Es ist ein schönes Hotel in Peking. Klimaanlage ist auch fast 々, dieser Preis ist sehr erschwinglich. die weniger Häuser empfehlen.
