Road Lodge Richards Bay

Friendly and welcoming staff, comfortable and clean rooms and a kitchen that provides a nourishing breakfast, lunch and dinner. (Beats having to cook your own) :) Located conveniently and at a reasonable price I will surely continue to stay over when I am visiting Richards bay .

The hotel is warm and inviting. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are fresh and clean. Everything that you need is supplied to make your trip a pleasure. Breakfast is good and extremely well priced for a buffet style arrangement. I recommend the Richards Bay Road lodge for business or overnight stay on route. Well done to all the management and staff for an excellent 4 night stay.

Best long term stay I have ever experienced. The road lodge in the bay is perfect in more then one way, clean, hygienic, home away from home. The Manager and the Front desk staff are brilliant. The Dining room staff are brilliant. The cleaning staff even the kitchen staff brilliant. Your lady who cleans the garden honest returned my smart watch. The security at gate all if them friendly and brilliant.

I attended academic conference at a local institution and stayed at the lodge for one night. The noise from neighbors was unbearable and continued till 2am. The hotel should do more to enforce house keeping rules.

The rooms look like 5 star rooms compared to old rooms well done on the refurb , love it. Cant wait to come visit you again . You are the Best place to stay in Richardsbay, now . U have always had the friendliest staff , know u have the modern rooms to go with a brilliant getaway stay.

Arrival was met with a smiling, great attitude, accommodating front desk experience, which can essentially, be the difference between a fair stay and a great stay! The rooms have recently been renovated, and it was quite refreshing to step into a laminate-flooring room, where your suitcase wheels don't have to battle carpet hairs...they also made the room appear "lighter". With the basic amenities provided (thank goodness, because I forgot my soap at the previous place), a crisis was averted. The bed was firm, yet comfortable, and there was no shortage of pillows on the bed, which was nice to see. Besides the air conditioning requiring an upgrade, and the corner shower being designed for skinnier people, the room cannot be faulted. Breakfast appeared to be only "buffet", and although freshly prepared and fairly tasty, it would be nice to have other menu options, such as an omelette or eggs benedict, or even French toast with syrup/honey. All in all though, a good, value-for-money stay, with friendly and accommodating staff.

The stay was good. Friendly reception staff, the rooms clean and tidy. Breakfast not so great needs some review of what is served daily. Not many options for a person who does not eat pork. The restaurant staff wow, never seen such unfriendly angry staff.
