The front desk 竹村, on June 18th 10:50, she told us there’s no pick up service after check out (there is), without offering any assistance to deliver our bags to the station. We feel that the staffs are poorly trained when it comes to the hotel facility nor their communication skills. The hotel itself is highly enjoyable especially the hot spring! Everything is brand new and the surroundings are epic! I’m sorry to have to minus one star because of 竹村’s poor reaction to customers’ requests.

良いところ １．スタッフさんの姿勢が良く、明るくテキパキ対応されていて、気持ちが良いです。 ２．食事が美味しいです。夕食はフルコースでしたが、予想を裏切る美味しさです。鴨肉は柔らかく、グリーンピースのポタージュは濃厚、デザートのフォンデーンショコラも良かったです。朝食のビュッフェも品数が豊富、味も良かったです。湯豆腐が特に良かった。 残念なところ １．良く手入れはされていますが、やはり築年数には勝てないところもありました。部屋の給換気ファンの音、給湯の量など。 総じて雰囲気も良く、楽しい時間を過ごせました。 ありがとうございました。

The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from Karuizawa station. Take the north exit on the bridge/walkway after coming up from Shinkansen platform, it's the left. There's a tourist info with helpful people at the end of the corridor, and an escalator next to it. Once you come out, with your back to the station, walk straight down the road, and take left at the first traffic light, near the Shell station. The hotel is opposite Family Mart. Staff are friendly and helpful. Room was generous-sized with an ante-room which has a fridge, some storage cupboards and the main room is nice and big with a good-sized bed. They provide 2 bottles of water. You can take day trips to Naka Karuizawa, Shiraiito Falls among other destinations using the bus service outside the station. It's a lot easier if you have Suica card or you will need to carry many 1000 yen notes. On the way back you can you can stop off at Kyu Karuizawa and walk the streets of Old Ginza. It can also be reached by foot, takes about 25-30 minutes.

Die Stadt ist bekannt, weil sie berühmte, Künstler, Schauspieler und Musiker als Bewohner ist. Das Hotel ist in dieser Linie. Der Eingang selbst ist etwas in Ton vermutet. Aber das Personal ist warm und freundlich. Sie halfen, unser Gepäck in die zweite Etage Anlage (die noch keinen Aufzug hat) zu transportieren und dann zurück, als wir auscheckten. Das Zimmer war die geräumigste (ok, wir wurden aufgerüstet) und es hatte einen Bewässerer. Toiletten waren gute Qualität. Das Restaurant selbst ist ein guter Französisch. Es ist zu schlecht, dass wir es nicht probieren konnten, aber wir hatten es beim Frühstück einen Geschmack. Die Grünland waren so gut, dass wir endlich um mehr Croissant und Brot bitten. Ich erfuhr später, dass viele seiner Kochen überall in Japan zu Kochen gelangt sind. Es gibt einen kleinen Geschenkshop mit einigen Schalen und Honig auf dem Hotelboden gemacht. Ja, sehr empfohlen.

Though abit far from Karuizawa station, but the moment you entered into the hotel it makes you feel like it's all worth it. The size of the room is something not what you'd expect from a typical Japanese hotel, it's really spacious and the moment you entered the suite they provided umbrella in the front of the door for their guest to use. The room is really clean, they offered nicely folded pajamas for the visitors as well as and provided all the sanitary kits you need right inside the room! Next day we were greeted warmly by the reception (that speaks really good English) and she helped us order a taxi to get around to our next stop. Too bad we only get to stay for one night, will definitely come again when we visit Karuizawa again!

Stayed here for 3 nights as I was attending a wedding at nearby Komoro. The hotel is newly renovated and conveniently located right next to the Sakudaira Station. Lots of good food options nearby. The sushi restaurant behind the hotel is highly recommended.
