Gibbs Farm

We only ate lunch here, but loved it. The property is stunning, the views are breathtaking and our meal was delicious. The activities offered to guests sound amazing — painting, yoga, writing workshops, painting, egg gathering, cow milking, spa, etc. The public bathrooms we used (2 different ones) were the most beautiful and interesting bathrooms I’ve seen anywhere.

Our family of 4 visited Gibbs Farm when traveling to Ngorongoro Crater Area. We stayed in the Deutches House, which was spectacular! The rooms were clean and extremely comfortable. We especially loved the heated blankets in the beds & warm fireplace lit at night :) Gibbs Farm had delicious, fresh food, and great pastries/breads. They even packed us a great picnic lunch to take on our full day trip to Ngorongoro. Special thanks to Dafay and James who helped us at mealtimes. We loved James' expertise in bollywood music/films!!! Overall, we loved the Gibbs property as it was beautiful, relaxing, and the staff was wonderful. Would highly recommend this during a visit to Ngorongoro Crater.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. What a gorgeous place and the food is incredible as well. Thank you to the lovely staff. The only bad part is leaving! I’d definitely recommend booking more than a few nights as once you arrive you do not want to leave!

What a wonderful place! We stayed here several nights as one of our stops on a 12 day safari experience. If on your safari you could add a day just to relax from your safari adventure we would recommend doing that here. The setting is so relaxing. Our "room" was a beautifully appointed cottage. The people that staff Gibbs Farm are wonderful and committed to making your stay special. The food is excellent. It is a special place.

Gibbs Farm is a taste of luxury in the rural hills of Ngorongoro. We went for our honeymoon and were stunned at the views, the accommodations, and the customer service. We were in the Wedding cottage, which was bigger than my NYC apartment. We were greeted by complimentary fruits, veggies, desserts, and champagne next to our balcony. The room featured a spacious sitting area, bedroom, and bathroom, equipped with an indoor and outdoor shower; a balcony with stunning views; and a mosquito net around the bed, a fireplace, and heated blankets for comfort while we slept. The daily activities were great. I enjoyed morning yoga with the sounds of the birds and the view of the hills. My husband and I took advantage of the farm tour, where we were able to see the process of roasting coffee, the many many many fruits and veggies growing on property, and we were given the opportunity to milk a cow and feed a calf! We treated ourselves to a couples massage after a long day of safari and Christina and Julianna took great care of us, getting out all of the knots from our bumpy ride and helping us relax. All of the food was superb and tasted so fresh. Each of our meals was served to us in a private dining space that had a view and a fireplace for comfort. James and Perfect took care of us during our stay and they were professional, attentive, and overall amazing. They truly made our trip even more special. This trip was absolutely a luxury and everyone should have an opportunity to experience this place.

From the loving welcome to the exquisite food options including outstanding vegan meals … the staff treated our party of 10+ as family. We all were awestruck with the roomy accommodations, activities, gym, lounge spaces, awe inspiring views that kept reminding you that we on sacred land. Thank you to the staff for making dreams we weren’t even aware of come true.

Great sustainable restaurant with fresh greens and fruit served in a very upscale restaurant space. We started with a short tour of the garden with the masai guide, Lengare Martin. With a sense of humor he took us to see the great variety of plants growing to supply the restaurant.

Absolutely loved staying here. The rooms are like private houses. They are huge. The Staff was over the top. From the moment I checked in till I checked out they were very accommodating and extremely helpful to any of my needs, I went for a tour of the Farm and milked a cow. I enjoyed every single meal that I had. Housekeeping was over the top. My driver and guide Lorenzo was amazing. He made sure I had a memorable time and I did I would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend Gibbs Farm. You’ll love it as much as I did.
