Gibbs Farm

This place is a wonderful place. It is very cozy and the staff are very friendly. The cottages are decorated with a stylish theme that gives each one its own personality. This place is definitely one of my favorite places in the world. Beautiful views, landscaping, and people, you cant go wrong.

We had a spectacular stay at Giibbs Farm. It is in a beautiful setting with large and comfortable rooms. What we found most special were the people who are so accommodating and hosbitable. We spent an amazing day with Martin who guided our visit to the crater and set up both breakfast and lunch for us. Gibbs Farm is filled with special touches that made the stay unique and relaxing. We loved it !!

My wife and I stayed here when visiting the Ngorongoro area. It was so cool being in our own private cottage. Food was wonderful, staff was great, and food was delicious. I wish we had more time to enjoy the lodge's activities (like cow milking).

A wonderful experience in a unique lodge. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Food was delicious. We're sorry that we didn't have time for many of the activities. Such good memories and good launching point for Ngorongoro.

This was by far one of the amazing places we stayed during our Tanzania Safari vacation. Thank you Safari Infinity for getting us there. I would recommend this place to anyone who would listen. Perfect for family holidays, amazing food that is farm to table all the way. Lush gardens surround the entire property. These are some of the happiest people I've ever met. I purchased two large bags of the coffee they grow, harvest, roast and package. I would have purchased more, but I was out of room in my bags and it was only day 4 of our 14 day adventure!

Lovely accommodations. Beautiful bedroom and large bathroom, very nice linens. It's a wonderful setting with impressive gardens and farm animals. I'm only giving it 4 stars because the food quality was just ok - other than that, it's a great place to stay.

After long safari days we were fortunate to stay at Gibbs Farm, a lush paradise. Our fireplace was lit nightly. Chef Vasti is extraordinary making delicious, creative creations producing the best farm to table meals we ever had! Gluten free too!

I am not the type to write negative reviews or complain. But for the money we spent, and the resort’s 5 star claims, I feel I have to say something. Pros: The property is beautiful. Amazing scenery, greenery, and farmland. The room was large but dated, and the food was fine. Cons: The service is extremely disappointing. Most of the staff greeted us without smiles or warmth. My wife and I stayed here for two nights on our honeymoon and the resort did nothing to acknowledge that. Do not expect five star service. My wife and I wanted to eat dinner in the room instead of the restaurant one night, and I practically had to explain to the team how to execute this. Reminding them to include glasses with ice for our drinks, and asking 3 times for a glass of water while I waited. When we arrived, we were told we had full board accommodations including 3 free meals a day. What we were not told is that no beverages besides water were included in this package. As we were checking out, we were informed we still had a bill to settle. I was confused as we had only had 1 dinner and 2 lunches with zero alcohol. It turns out the three soft drinks we ordered for dinner were not included. No waiters told us this or charged us at the restaurant. The staff was rude and cold about this, and insisted I walk to reception to settle the six dollar charge. While this was a nominal fee, the principle was extremely off putting and left a sour taste in my mouth upon our departure. For the amount we paid, the way this was handled was humiliating and incredibly impersonal. The resort is also a two hour drive from the crater floor. If your trip is centered around a Ngorogoro Crater safari, there are surely better and more luxurious options along the crater rim. Unlike our safari in the Serengeti, the crater itself is quite crowded, and drivers are not allowed to go off road, leading to traffic and bottlenecks around game sightings. Felt more like visiting a zoo or a theme park than a true safari. Compared to our true 5 star lodge experiences (Singita and One&Only), Gibb’s Farm was quite a letdown.
