Beautiful resort. The decor in the rooms is a bit dated but authentic to the architect. Would like to see the rooms updated a bit but still 100% worth it and would stay here again as is.

Our vacation in kandalama hotel was extraordinary! The view, food, atmosphere and the service were spectacular! And of course the phenomenal architecture of the one and only Mr Geoffrey Bass, which have made this masterpiece.

Although a little far from sigiriya, but beautiful view with lake and hill,also can see the lion rock.There are many local food in breakfast,everything everywhere make you relaxed.

The heritage Kandalama Hotel is in the heart of the Gungal near a lake. The hotel was designed with consideration and respect for the environment, the animals that live there and the nature that surrounds the hotel. The room is cozy and well-equipped and includes a balcony overlooking the jungle. The infinity pool overlooks a lake where elephants and birds stay. We received a pleasant welcome from the hotel staff. The dining room is immersed in green and the breakfast is great. We received excellent service and personal attention from the entire staff at the hotel. We arrived at the hotel without luggage and they made sure to coordinate the arrival of the luggage for us. We liked Nalinda the kind guide from the hotel who took us on a morning tour and since then we became friends. Nalinda took care of our well-being even after we left the hotel. Thank you very much for a pleasant stay. Definitely recommended for those who want to rest and relax in a dreamy place.

Nice service and great view! Specially in the early morning, standing on the terrace waiting for the sun rises, magnificent landscape view and colorful scenery. The decoration and facilities in the room have great taste too.

Amazing hotel, wonderful hospitality and beautiful views. If you’re visiting Danbulla/Sigiriya, I would recommend this place if you’re up for pleasant experience. Special shout-out to one of the staff, tall young chap who works evening shifts (didn’t get his name), aided us with booking a tuk tuk for our early morning trip to sigiriya rock and even checked with us after we came back our trip. Outstanding.

So nice hotel, nice restaurant, nice pool, nice facilities. Everything is perfect.

Can't recommend this Heritance Kandalama enough - amazing location, everyone who worked there was brilliant and friendly, rooms were big and clean, the food (breakfast and dinner) was incredible and they kindly organised all sorts of trips on our behalf at a fair rate.

Why doesn’t have usb port?

Beautiful resort! High level of service. Very peaceful and beautifully located. Highly recommended. We were supposed to stay one night, but we added an extra night. The building is set uniquely in the jungle and has a beautiful infinity pool. Rooms have wooden panelling and air a different era. Bathroom could use a little modernization, but not a big issue. Hot water was plentiful, room service was very tasty. For travel to and from the resort we used Athalanga, as we read the hotel overcharges for taxi’s.

Absolutely stunning architecture which accommodates and works with the natural rock formations, the hotel looks like it sprung straight out of earth as a part of the forest. Incredibly helpful and hospitable staff. Beautiful view of Sigiriya and Dambulla rock. We saw elephants swimming in the Kandalama reservoir from our room. All-in-all an amazing stay!

出自設計師BAWA之手，酒店的設計本身就是風景，有空可以在酒店多轉轉，懸崖泳池很出片。 生物多樣性也非常之豐富，一大早就會有猴子坐在陽台，蜥蜴，壁虎，變色龍，見到了很多從來沒見過的生物。 餐食中規中矩的自助，菜品不怎麼換，吃飽沒問題。

良かった点 絶景を目の前に、大自然の中で過ごしているという感覚になる。どこを切り取っても美しい。 猿が部屋の目の前に遊びにきてくれる。(毎日！) スタッフがすれ違うたびに笑顔であいさつしてくれる。 ビュッフェが美味しい。 残念な点 コンディショナーがない ボディーソープの匂いが独特 ホテル発のサファリツアーの入場料は別途かかり、現金が必要な旨事前の案内をいただけなかった

森に埋もれたバワの傑作。建築当初は猛烈な反対運動が起こったとの展示がありましたが、見事に自然と調和していました。湖とつながるインフィニティプール。朝起きるとまさにリアルなライオンキングの世界。鳥のさえずり、猿の毛繕い、七色の空。まさにジャングルに埋もれる感覚を満喫しました。
