"Das Fairway Boutique Hotel ist ein wirklich toller Ort um die Nächte in Kampala zu verbringen. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral und bietet eine kleine Auswahl an Boutiquen direkt auf dem Hotelgelände. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, groß und modern eingerichtet und mit Klimaanlage und Safe ausgestattet. Das Hotel hat einen schönen sauberen Poolbereich mit Bar und kleinen "Restaurants" Direkt an das Hotel angeschlossen ist ein Restaurant mit sehr gutem Essen und einer tollen Atmosphäre. Hier wird auch das unglaublich vielseitige und leckere Frühstück serviert. Dies war mit das beste Frühstück unserer gesamten Reise. Wenn man es nicht zum Frühstück schafft bekommt man eine Tasche mit Frühstück to go! Besonders hervorzuheben ist der sehr gute Service und die netten Mitarbeiter. Hier hat mich sich willkommen und geschätzt gefühlt und wurde hervorragend umsorgt. Anlässlich unserer Hochzeit wurde sogar unser Zimmer mit vielen Rosenblättern und Rosen dekoriert und eine Flasche Wein mit zwei Gläsern bereitgestellt. Vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt."

"I stayed at HBT Russell Hotel on Rashid Khamis Road in Kampala for approximately three months and unfortunately left with serious concerns regarding both service standards and administrative practices. Throughout my stay, I paid UGX 60,000 per day for accommodation. A notice displayed within the hotel advised guests to collect receipts after payment, but whenever I inquired about obtaining my receipts, reception staff repeatedly informed me that all receipts would be issued upon check-out. When I finally checked out, I requested the tax receipts for the payments I had made during my stay. To my surprise, I was told that the hotel could not produce them because they could not determine or remember my check-in date. Given that I had been a resident guest for around three months and had made regular payments, I found this explanation difficult to understand and highly unsatisfactory. Any hotel should be able to maintain accurate guest records and provide documentation for payments received. I also experienced a noticeable decline in service during the latter part of my stay. Certain staff members, including individuals identified to me as Tabitha and Annett, became increasingly unhelpful and at times openly hostile. The quality of the breakfast also deteriorated significantly, with limited variety and meals consisting mainly of inexpensive starch-based items. A particularly troubling incident occurred shortly before my departure. I arranged for a representative to deliver UGX 350,000 to the hotel on my behalf. I was subsequently informed that a security guard allegedly took possession of the money and forcibly removed the individual from the premises. While I chose not to pursue a police complaint at the time in order to avoid further inconvenience, the incident added to my concerns about the management and oversight of the establishment. My primary concern remains the hotel's apparent inability or unwillingness to provide tax receipts for accommodation payments made over an extended period. For business travelers, long-term guests, and anyone requiring proper documentation, this is a significant issue. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this hotel to guests who value professional administration, transparent record-keeping, and consistent customer service."
