I have lived here for how many months? honestly the management Has a wrong way of treating their guest long stay or not.. I mean I was paying 650 everyday and never once did they remember to send a cleaner..don’t pay up by 10:41am and then cleaner comes after 10days and she isn’t supposed to clean?! For a place I have stayed at the same apartments for 4months?

I had a comforting and stress free time. I travelled with my new born and husband. We took a deluxe suite. Excellent service. Easy accessibility. During load shedding, good backup for electricity and water supply. Highly recommended. 5 Min ride to Sandton Center.

Stayed two nights on a mother-daughter trip and had a great time. The location is excellent, in a nice gated area so felt safe walking around and there were tons of nice restaurants and shops around! The room was clean. Kinda weird with the shower outside the bathroom right next to one of our beds, only had a curtain to separate. The staff was all very helpful and friendly! The food was good- be sure to try the milkshakes!

Stayed here for two nights before going on safari. It was a nice room, however, attached to this property is the Executive suites and for the same cost you can get a bigger room and an in room washer and dryer so check availability. We got an amazing welcome by the front desk staff before they even knew that we were platinum elite members. Everyone was really professional and helpful. Let’s talk M Club. Had so much potential but couldn’t get it together. They were never ready to open. The coffee machine would not be ready first thing in the morning, the cream was never filled up, stirrers not available. COME ON! What do most people want at 6:30AM? Coffee! No silver ware or cups on tables on time. There were nice choices for breakfast but food didn’t get put out on time, ever. For those of us who want to get out early to see the city, it was frustrating. The wine in the evening was delicious with lots of options. Also, very substantial food choices in the evening. I would stay here again, for sure, but the property needs to up its game in the lounge and it would be so easy to correct these few things!

Johannesburg is not as safe as Cape Town so you need to put yourself somewhere safe when traveling there. Sandton is a better area and there is a big shopping mall right next to this hotel and you can find everything there including a supermarket, shops, & lot of restaurants if you don't want to eat in the hotel restaurant. They have parking in basement too with metal gate for an additional R55 per night which I found it reasonable. In general, staffs are helpful and nice, great location, great food in the hotel restaurant too. I will definitely stay there again if I would go to Johannesburg again.

Good place to stay while in JoBurg. Rooms need a serious update, our room was not even close to the pictures on the hotel website. (Expected a room like the ones on the website, especially as a Titanium Elite guest) Check-in was good, Kaya was very helpfull during our 3 day stay as was Happiness. The hotel and rooms are clean, good bed. Hotel has a convinient shuttle to the Mall of Africa. The on site restaurant and bar are excellent, dined two times and enjoyed the dishes (steak, kudu and chicken) and the presentation of the food. Sydwell was both times our waiter and made our visit memorable.

The location of APM allows you to start your exploration of JoBerg easily. Staff: 5/5 The African Pride Melrose Arch Hotel (APM) staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. They made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Welcome drinks, smiles, professionalism, and a great source for local information. All staff members were amazing. Special acknowledgments to Pretty and Mr. D!!! Also, a special shout-out to the lady who delivered the birthday gift to our room. Sorry, we never exchanged names! You know who you are! 😊 Staff makes your hotel; somehow, The African Pride got it right with their entire team. Hotel Room: 4/5 The rooms at the hotel are spacious and beautifully appointed. They have all the amenities you could possibly need, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean, well-lit and spacious. The Pride, though kept well, was slightly dated. There should be some type of assessment of each room so that they are able to keep its mystique intact (it’s time to get rid of every DVD player in your hotel… It's ok, no one will notice) Hotel Grounds: 5/5 It’s situated in Melrose, so the hotel grounds are also part of the Melrose in a way though they do have a pool area, which is spectacular. They also have an amazing restaurant attached to them where you can pick up an amazing breakfast before starting your journey touring the sites in Joburg. Location: 5/5 The location in Melrose Arch is a huge plus. Plenty of shops, restaurants, and cafes are within walking distance, so you'll never run out of things to do. Conclusion: 4.75/5 I highly recommend the African Pride Melrose Arch Hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and convenient stay in Johannesburg. You will surely enjoy your stay while you visit JoBerg. Things to be aware of: Power issues plague the entire country. Places like African Pride have backup generators to assist with making your experience more enjoyable. When you have temporary blackouts, it is because the generator is assisting to maintain power to the entire building. Anyone who blames APM for power issues should be more aware of the countries they visit. APM doesn’t appear to have a fitness Gym on site, but you have access to a nearby gym, which is from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., I believe ( I could be wrong). Go to the front desk. They will provide you with access to the facilities and the locati
