We were totally blown away by the overall experience of staying at Burkleigh House. A tranquil gem, conveniently located with top-notch hospitality. The rooms are tastefully decorated and incredibly comfortable. Great desk space to work from. The staff are warm, friendly, and helpful. The breakfasts are very impressive and so tasty. The peace and tranquility of the garden with its abundant birdlife is such a bonus. We will definitely be back and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this spot.

The hotel is beautiful and situated on a gorgeous golf course very close to Cresta Shopping Centre - however it feels like you are in the country. I checked in for 3 nights - looking forward to baths each night as I have only showers at thome - and was warmly welcomed by the reception team (not my first stay there so I was happy to return). I was given a room close to the pool and at first, all appeared well. The room is well appointed and very spacious with a gorgeous bath and shower. The bath however leaked out all the water and despite adjusting the pop-up plug, the water loss was significant and I eventually gave up the idea of a bath. By the way, the washbasins also leaked out all the water. I then reported it and apparently it was 'fixed' by the maintenance team the following day. Needless to say, the bath still leaked ( but slightly less this time). I again reported it for fixing the next day. The next day, I was moved to a gorgeous suite, the Ernie Els suite, which was truly lovely and much appreciated. I couldnt wait to have a bath! I ran the bath and went to make a cup of tea. I arrived back in the bathroom and .... voila! no water in the bath. Exactly the same problem AGAIN! Both washbasins also leaked by the way as I was trying to revive a bouquet of flowers in one of them and found after two minutes, the basin was empty. A few other things were wrong too - the gas fire in the room wouldnt automatically ignite - you needed a lighter (I'm a non-smoker). The curtain had come off the rail. The TV in the bedroom would not switch off and also only had a very soft volume level that could not be increased. On a positive note, the breakfasts were awesome and the general staff really helpful, professional and service orientated. The maintenance team however, needs to be challenged on the plumbing/water losses in the rooms. So I never did get my bath that I so desperately wanted in all the 3 nights I stayed there...

Wir hatten eine Nacht hier vor unserem Fahrt nach Kruger. Pros: - Anerkennung für IHG Diamond Elite Member. - Die Lage fühlte sich sicher in einem Geschäftspark, der umgeben mit Sicherheitsbefehlspost gepflegt wurde. - Das Zimmer war von einer angemessen Größe und die Dusche funktionierte gut. Kons: - Das Zimmer war trüb, obwohl wir alle Lichter auf hatten. - Unsere Zimmertür (102) ist nicht reibungslos geöffnet, wahrscheinlich weil der Teppich in der Nähe der Türfläche höher ist. - Es war laut, da unser Zimmer (102) nahe der Autobahn war, so dass wir alle Fahrzeuge durchfahren hören konnten. - Ich hatte um einen hohen Stock gebeten, aber der niedrigste Stock wurde ironisch gegeben.

I had a comforting and stress free time. I travelled with my new born and husband. We took a deluxe suite. Excellent service. Easy accessibility. During load shedding, good backup for electricity and water supply. Highly recommended. 5 Min ride to Sandton Center.

What you see is what you get and then some. The staff are so polite and keen to assist; the rooms are spacious and very clean; and the breakfast has quite some variety. The location is very central within the Sandton area which makes moving around pretty easy especially since they provide shuttle services to and from the Sandton city mall.

Holiday Inn rosebank hotel is located at the center of rosebank and there is a gautrain station just in front of the hotel entrance and also you can access to the rosebank mall directly from the hotel. The entire team on this hotel was super friendly always willing to welcome the guests with pleasure. Breakfast on the 2nd floor served by variety of food selection of which including a cheese plate and an egg station was just enough to boost energy to start up the day. The food served from the hotel restaurant was with a reasonable price so that I could enjoy delicious food without going out for dinner. I would definitely say that it's worth the money to stay in this place. Although I had a concern about the city Johannesburg before the trip but at least in this rosebank area which was totally safe to hang out and walk around the streets with no stress. I had such a great experience in Johannesburg and willing to come back in the future. Thank you once again to leave this beautiful country with good memories. It's was such a pleasure to stay here.

Ich kann Agterplaas nicht hoch genug empfehlen. Unser Zimmer war cool und komfortabel mit antiken Möbeln und Beiträgen ein stilvoller Touch. Elroy und Annemie sind so gracieuze Gastgeber, und auch unglaubliche Kochen! (Filet auf dem Braai zum Abendessen mit Chili-Schokolade-Saft, dann frisches Vetkoek, Bacon und Eier zum Frühstück – Was für eine Behandlung!) Das Essenszimmer war unser Lieblingsplatz, um im Gasthaus zu hängen, wo Geschichten seiner fünfundzwanzigjährigen Geschichte über Malva Pudding und Glas Wein gehört werden konnten. Sitz auf dem Balkon, der die Kopien im späten Nachmittag Wintersonnen überblickt, war eine zusätzliche Freude. Kann nicht warten, um zurückzukehren!

Ok, also lass uns mit dem 'nicht so schönen Dingen' beginnen. Sieh, es ist, was es ist. Es ist ein 3-star (best), Hotel, das von Wohnungen in ein 'suite' Erfahrungshotel umgewandelt wurde. Es ist billig wie Chips, also in diesem Sinne werden Sie offensichtlich nichts erwarten flash. Die Handtücher, während sauber, konnten sicherlich mit der Ersetzung tun. Insgesamt würde eine frische Mantelfarbe nicht wehtun und die Kehle war abschmal - wir bestellten eigentlich unsere eigene Kehle von 60/60 - die in dem Zimmer war nicht in ... gut abgestürzt, ewig. Es ist sehr grundlegende Unterkunft, das Telefon im Zimmer funktionierte nicht und der Extraktor oberhalb des Stoßes war deabolisch. Jetzt, für das gute Sachen. Das Personal ist wunderbar. So freundlich und super hilfsbereit, die Eincheckung war breit und auch wenn wir ein volles 2 erreicht haben Wir hatten kaum zu warten, bis unser Zimmer bereit war. Neben dem, was ich bereits erwähnte, war das Zimmer selbst SPOTLOSS und das für die 'schwarz' Bit gemacht. Die Lage ist großartig, Nur wenige Minuten vom Flughafen und in der Nähe der Bereiche, in denen wir Geschäfte hatten. Ehrlich gesagt, für was man für diesen Ort zahlen, gibt es keine Beschwerden. Sie können von 60/60/ Uber Eats/Mr Delivery bestellen und es gibt ein Restaurant auf der Website - obwohl wir von ihnen nicht bestellt haben, wir verließen Früh und kam recht spät zurück, so war es einfacher, in bestellen - und sie wurden ins Zimmer geliefert. So alle in, wenn Sie nicht in Jozi für einen Urlaub sind, dann ist dieser Ort eine Art ideal. Das Internet war schnell genug und erfreulich, und da wir es buchstäblich nur als Grundlage für unsere Geschäfte in der großen Stadt verwendeten, war es mehr als ausreichend.

We only stopped one night but were bowled over by the genuine friendly and helpful nature of all the hotel staff. We arrived at midday but were still offered access to our room after a complementary drink. The shuttle to and from the airport worked perfectly. Our room was typical of modern Holiday Inns, the only fault being a broken hairdryer. The evening buffet meal offered great choice and excellent value at only £250 for as much as you could eat. The location was fine for the airport but otherwise a long way from the city centre or any attractions.
