I can’t give it a higher rating because we weren’t able to do the main thing you are at a hotel for; sleeping. We stayed at room #4, the so called “romantic room” and I can say I probably spent one of the worst nights I have ever had in a hotel after having visited over 50 countries across the world. The room faces a street that seems quiet but it turned out to be extremely noisy. Every time a car passed through sounded like there was an earthquake and the whole building started shaking. On top of that, there was groups of people passing during the whole night talking, laughing, etc. Is not that they were extremely noisy but the windows of the room are absolutely useless for avoiding noise; I actually thought that the windows were open and that’s why it was so noisy but unfortunately that was not the case. The poor soundproofing together with the proximity of the building across the street that echoed the sounds, made it impossible to sleep. At 4am, I decided to call the “emergency number” and ask if we could get another room but they told us they were fully booked (not sure if that was true or basically the manager didn’t want to come all the way to open a room for us at that time). Finally, last group passed around 7am and then we managed to sleep for 1.5h, before going on a 7h road trip. When I asked to speak with the manager the day after I was told that he would come or call me but he never did. They offered us free breakfast and free parking which was nice but to be honest not enough given the poor room we were given. Bottom line, if unfortunately you end up staying here, avoid room #4 at all costs.
