GGastnutzerThis homestay is new, nice, clean and comfortable. The service is like a hotel. This homestay is located inside the Yunshuiyao scenic area, and so every guest needs to pay an entrance fee. The homestay can help to arrange a taxi to pick up from 南靖railway station to the homestay with a reasonable price.
If you like beautiful scenery, peaceful and relaxing environment, this is the right place as it’s away from the crowded village centre. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the village centre, ie the water wheel, old banyan tree, and souvenir shops, through a scenic route along the stream and under the shade of old trees. Trekking the cobblestone path gives you a good workout.
There’s a few tulou (earth buildings) within the scenic area but only 2 are open for public to visit. The others are private. Hegui lou is less than a minute’s walk from the homestay, passing by paddy fields, vegetable gardens and lotus field. You can literally see it from the homestay.
The homestay serves delicious local food. I had dinner twice and enjoyed tasting different dishes. Breakfast is simple and includes local produce, giving you a taste of village life. Also, the homestay serves tea from its own farm. I enjoyed tasting different tea.
Lastly, the staff 小凉is very friendly and good service.

GGastnutzerThe accommodation provides spacious and clean rooms and is perfectly located in the Tulou scenic area at the southern part of Taxia village and very close to both the 田螺坑 土楼 and 河坑 土楼 as well as the 裕昌 building. All of them can be reached by car in just a few minutes.
I arrived at the Inn without a car myself and the owner not only helped me organize the visits but even offered to drive me to several nearby tulou. We had the chance to share several meals prepared by his wife, which were all excellent, and some very good tea from the region. The host is very knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor - we talked a lot after I arrived despite my very limited Chinese.
All in all, I can recommend this place very much - I would come back anytime if I decide to visit the area again.
(P.S. make sure to ask the host about the fireflies nearby - seeing them under the starry night is a mesmerizing experience and was one of the highlights of my trip to Fujian)

PPoh HongExcellent service from the lady boss and the staff. From the time I contacted her, she sent me lots of information about getting to the guesthouse. More importantly, she followed up with me to ensure that I am on the right track to the guesthouse. This was very much appreciated as I had a flight delay and that messed up my original travel plan. The lady boss was very proactive in ensuring that I find my way to the guesthouse. The lady boss' daugther is very cute and adorable. She shared part of her orange with me and when I told her that I liked it, she went off and got one for me! Even wanted to help me with my luggage but a little difficult as she's only 8 years old.
The guesthouse is located on top of a small hill and lady boss will pick up guests at the bottom of the hill; actually, in my opinion, hardly needed as it's only 10 minutes or less walk up a gentle slope but she does the pickup as part of the service that they offer.
The room is very nice and clean. The toilet is western style and has a very nice touch - spot lights are installed on the toilet ceilings and when the nights are cold, you will really appreciate the warmth from these lights after coming out from your shower!
And finally, they will drive guests out to 2 of the best viewpoints for the Tianluokeng cluster at no additional charge.

SSikesidaDie Lage des Hotels ist recht gut, direkt über dem Tulou mit vier Gerichten und einer Suppe, genau wie ein Paar Stäbchen.
Zum Einchecken im Hotel muss man eine kurze Bergstraße erklimmen. Die Vermieterin war sehr hilfsbereit und ergriff die Initiative, mir beim Tragen meiner Koffer mit einer Stange zu helfen.
Nach dem Einchecken führt uns die Wirtin zu einem Besuch und erklärt uns die Tulou-Gruppe mit vier Gerichten und einer Suppe. Natürlich wirbt sie auch für ihren eigenen einheimischen Tabak, Ingwerbonbons und andere lokale Spezialitäten. Wir haben auch ein Kampferholzgemälde besucht Tatsächlich sind diese, soweit ich weiß, alle verfügbar, die Vermieterin bewirbt sie nicht absichtlich, die Kunden können einfach anhand ihrer eigenen Bedürfnisse entscheiden, ob sie es kaufen möchten.
Abends aßen wir im Hotel zu Abend und die Besitzerin kochte selbst. Gemessen am Niveau eines Bauernhauses waren die Kochkünste akzeptabel und die Familie hatte eine tolle Zeit.
Abends tranken wir Wein und der Sohn der Vermieterin bot uns sogar an, uns zur unteren und oberen Aussichtsplattform zu fahren, um den Nachtblick auf den Tulou zu genießen, der sehr schön war.
Das Erscheinungsbild des Hotels und die Aufteilung der Zimmer sind sehr durchdacht. Obwohl die Zimmer nicht groß sind, sind sie im Allgemeinen relativ neu und die Hygiene ist ziemlich gut. Allerdings kann man sich kein B&B-Zimmer in einem tiefen Berg- und alten Wald wünschen Um frei von Mücken zu sein, fühle ich mich gut, habe einfach etwas mehr Einfühlungsvermögen.
Am nächsten Morgen ging ich den Berg hinunter und warf einen Blick auf den schrägen Yuchang-Turm. Was Taxia Village betrifft, blieb ich nicht stehen und ging einfach vorbei, um einen Blick darauf zu werfen.
Nach dem 1. Mai waren dieses Mal nicht mehr viele Leute auf der Tulou-Tour. Die Familie hatte eine tolle Zeit und wird bei Gelegenheit wiederkommen!

Perhaps it doesn’t have the quietest (thin walls and windows) nor the most luxurious rooms you could find in the picturesque village of Yunshuiyao. That is however perfectly normal for a traditional wooden building that it more than 100 years old! And it is yet very comfortable, even cozy!
Moreover, the owner is remarkably friendly and helpful, the homestay is very clean and well-managed, it is located 10-15 minutes by walking distance from the main sightseeings of Yunshuiyao village, which has nothing to envy to more famous places like the Tianluokeng tulou cluster.
I can definitely recommend staying at this place to people who want to dive into Hakka people’s culture and experience Chinese hospitality!

GGastnutzerSchon im Vorfeld hat die Kommunikation mit dem Hotel wunderbar funktioniert, so dass ich durch einen Fahrer in Nanjing abgeholt wurde. In Tianluokeng angekommen sah ich gleich, dass ich nicht besser hätte wohnen können. Das Guesthouse liegt direkt neben den Tulous und so hat man die Möglichkeit zu jederzeit sich das Leben in den Tulous anzusehen. Auch eine Plattform, von der man von oben aus die Tulous sehen kann, befindet sich direkt hinter dem Hotel. Die Besitzer sind sehr aufmerksam und herzlich und sprechen sogar ein wenig Englisch. Ich hatte ein sehr schönes Zimmer im 2. Stock. Das Wasser zum Duschen war richtig warm, was gut tat, da es im Dezember doch kalt war und ed keine Heizung gibt. Ich habe jeden Tag im Hotel gegessen, da das Essen sehr lecker war. Ich komme sehr gerne wieder. Vielen Dank für due schöne Zeit!
