Do not stay at this hotel. The walls are paper thin, so you hear EVERYTHING—yes, EVERYTHING, if you know what I mean. The whole setup is bizarre (see photo). Who thought it was a good idea to cram the sink so close to the toilet that your elbow brushes it? Who looked at that and thought, ”Yeah, that’s totally normal and not awkward at all”? The carpet feels soooo dirty, and it’s ridiculous they don’t provide slippers. Actually, they do—but only if you’re willing to pay $6! Oh, and add another $5 for service fee!
On top of that, when I asked about why the water in the shower was lukewarm, and the response I got was that it’s because the hotel was at full capacity. How exactly is that my problem?! The receptionist told me to run the water for 10 minutes to ”fix” it… 10 minutes? Really? What happened to being eco-friendly?
Honestly, save your money and book somewhere else. It’s incredibly noisy, and you won’t get a peaceful night's sleep here. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The only redeeming qualities are the fitness center, location and the helpful and very nice staff.

Das Hotel ist sauber, gut ausgestattet und komfortabel. Als ”Shop” Hotel liebten wir den warmen Feuerplatz int eh Lobby und das kleine Restaurant und Bar-Bereich. Nur wenige Artikel lassen sie ein wenig ab; auf dem öffentlichen Urlaub war die Küche am Abend geschlossen. Außerdem befanden wir uns mit Mineralwasser, das Zimmer zu gehen, aber es musste nachher folgen. Obwohl es kostenlos geliefert wurde, um die Verzögerung zu beheben, wäre es besser, dass es einfach wie gefordert gesendet wurde. Insgesamt haben wir das Hotel, seine Lage, die Aussicht, das Zimmer und das Gesamt ”Vibe” geliebt.

I was given the wrong information by the hotel reception. I asked if it was possible to stay overnight at Hobart Airport, and was told yes — based on that, I didn’t book any accommodation in advance. Later, I double-checked and found out overnight stays are not allowed at the airport.
Because of this, I had to make a last-minute hotel booking at a much higher cost. This caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience.

Very good location with walking distance to the core downtown zone. Woolworth in less than 10 min walking distance too. Good facility and friendly staff. Really love the big windows in the room with a decent view.

This is my first time staying at a Movenpick hotel. The hotel is new & modern. The location is close to Skybus drop out point & Visitor Information Centre. Check in was very smooth & fast. Room was spacious, clean & tidy. It's quiet to sleep through the night.
There was one incident that someone ordered a wrong room service to my room, I told the lady it was not mine & she left. However, when I check out, it's still on my bill. The lady said she would handle it immediately. Then I left my luggage for storage before my flight, and when I went back to pick up my things hours later, I checked with another concierge lady, the charge has been canceled, so nothing had been charged to my card. They were all very nice & helpful.
During my stay, I tried their free desserts at the lobby once (3:30-4:30pm daily). They were generous to provide quite some varieties for tasting, and they were fresh & yummy.

Das Hotel bietet eine Vielzahl an attraktiven Einrichtungen, darunter ein beheizter Pool, aber unser kürzlich gehabter Aufenthalt war durch Reinigungsprobleme in unserem Zimmer beeindruckt. Trotz der Berichterstattung an die Rezeption am zweiten Abend, blieb das Problem bis zum Nachmittag des Tages ungelöst. Selbst dann war der Versuch des Zimmerbetreibers, die Situation zu korrigieren, unvollständig, da eine verformte Leinwand unbeabsichtigt hinterblieben war.
Während die Einrichtungen und Standardausstattung des Hotels mit anderen Unterkünften vergleichbar waren, haben die Reinigungsmängel unsere Gesamterfahrung erheblich beeinflusst. Wir hoffen, dass sich künftige Gäste nicht mit ähnlichen Fragen konfrontieren und dass das Hotel Schritte unternehmen wird, um solche Vorkommnisse in Zukunft zu beheben und zu verhindern.

GGastnutzerVery spacious, clean and fully equipped. We love cooking, the cooking equipment and dishwashers are wonderful. Quite and convenient for family stay. Supermarket within working distance and a shopping mall nearby (4 mins drive) which got two big supermarkets and shops. Got Telstra shop inside the shopping mall which helped us settle the phone card problem.
Only a reminders for those who drive with big car. Car park is quite small for big car (7 ). Maybe good for skilful drivers, but not for those not good at parking.

Very friendly and accommodating staff and the room was well appointed ( huge tv) with the option to cook or visit one of the many restaurants and pubs close by. Very easy to recommend to anyone else. Just be early or play car park chess in the evening. Three EV charging stations too.

GGastnutzerThe room was very clean and we had all necessary amenities except for toothbrush and toothpaste, which wasn’t an issue for us as we had brought our own. The studio room and the en-suite bathroom were spacious! Location was superb as well, with Coles right next door and Woolworths, chemist warehouse, etc within few minutes walk. The motel is also surrounded by plenty of restaurants.
Overall we were very happy with our stay!

FfishingrabbitDas Personal war freundlich und erlaubte uns, frühzeitig ohne zusätzliche Gebühr zu überprüfen. Das Zimmer und das Badezimmer waren unspottbar. Die Lage war sehr bequem, mit Gasstationen, Lebensmitteln und Snacks 24 Stunden nur neben der Tür zur Verfügung. Wir haben das Frühstück zu einem ermäßigten Preis vorbestellt und genossen das komfortable, feste Bett.

The bus stop for Skybus for airport transfer and Red Decker (hop on and hop off for City Explorer) is right opposite the hotel.
The one bed room apartment is really spacious, comprising a living cum dining area, a simple kitchen with a microwave oven and a washingmachine cum dryer.
The staff are friendly and helpful. Our special gratitude goes to Mr Aashish (maybe incorrect spelling), who has followed up promptly to help us upgrade to the apartment upon our request.

During our stay, we happened to chance upon the Dark Mofo Winter Feast and also had the chance to go to the nearby Salamanca Market which was just behind the hotel
Owen the hotel receptionist was very welcoming and attentive
The room was spacious with adequate amenities provided. One downside to mention was that the water pressure was rather weak and having to shower for a long time due to the weak shower made the experience not as pleasant. Would be wonderful if there was a bath tub too!

GGastnutzerHotel was great, didn’t realise it was situated over the top of a pub. But we didn’t research. The supreme king bed was the absolute best thing ever! So comfy and nice big comfy pillows!
Sink to wash hands located in room not toilet which we found odd and cleaner only made 1 side of the bed not the other. But great friendly staff, clean room pretty darn good for the price!

GGastnutzerThe motel is priced very modestly. The room was very nice except no air conditioning. Which on an unusually hot day and night in Hobart made it unbearable for us. We actually checked out after 1 night. And treated fantastically by reception who initiated a refund through trip.com
