Mercure Thame Lambert Hotel

Stayed 2 nights through 3rd party deal. Excellent welcome by receptionist who easily found our booking & all elements included in deal, very friendly, a credit to the hotel. Room was large, comfortable and quiet. Ate both nights in restaurant, good food, service was OK. We had to wait about 45 minutes for Blenheim Palace tickets to be printed (they were part of the deal), but that was fine - we were kept updated & given a voucher for a free drink each. Lovely bar area, good range of drinks, great restaurant Breakfast was excellent on both days. Would stay again & recommend, thanks to all staff - you're doing a great job.

We booked into the Mercure Thame Lambert Hotel for 4 nights on 18th September 2024 - after a small glitch at the beginning, the Hotel Manager and Staff sorted everything immediately. Thankyou. We also wish to say the Hotel Receptionist Uwais was most helpful and considerate with a pleasant smile whatever time of day we saw him. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the staff all had a great attitude with their customers. Briefly spoke to the Housekeeper as leaving and she too was extremely pleasant lady.  We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Mercure Thame Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in this area. Just to say the Hotel staff were very good and pleasant. The food was great, but the room was not clean. The shower was dirty on the day I arrived and there were other hairs in the bathroom. The rug was dirty and I had carpet beetles running around a lot of the time. I complained and was told the room would have a deep clean. This didn’t happen.

Friendly staff but overall pretty poor. The hotel is in a nice convenient location and the public areas are modern and nicely decorated. The rooms are basic / plainly decorated and they are fairly filthy to be kind. See the attached photos. They are in despirate need of an update and lick of paint. The walls are covered in skuff marks from luggage and the carpets very dirty and worn. Tea / coffee provided was the cheapest catering sachets "freeze dried coffee" branded. Also the bedding was extremely poor with a very thin duvet and cheap synthetic pillows. The housekeeping service was extremely poor. The bed was rarely made properly nor toilet cleaned & no dusting for a long time as can be seen in the photos. The Wifi whilst OK when it is working makes you re-register and sign in every 24hours which is very irritating on a long stay. There really is no need for this. Once I have signed up on a device I would expect the network to remember me for the duration of my stay! I ate in the bar / restaurant on a couple of evenings and found the food to be of a poor standard and extremely overpriced. The service was friendly and efficient though. Breakfast was buffet style and was OK apart from the coffee machine which was out of order more often than not. There was also a very bad problem with flies in the breakfast area not helped by the large bowls of open yoghurt and fruit salad. It would be far better to provide eaither sealed containers or pots.

We had the most amazing wedding at this hotel. From the very first moment when we were shown around to the clear up afterwards the staff were super helpful, supportive and great fun. Admiral made sure the organisation ran smoothly. All the guests commented on the quality of the food and how comfortable and clean the rooms were. It was truly the best day ever! Thank you to all the staff for making it so special.

We came on business purpose in lambert hotel it was amazing experience overall, moreover we really enjoyed the food in kite restaurant because staff are very helpful and kind they always recommend us nice food special thanks to service team all are good in restaurants, hotel was good near to London city side, Restaurants Garden area very nice to enjoy meal. My lovely wife got memoriable birthay in lambert hotel. We cane first time in this hotel staff make her surprised for birthday and she realy dont remember her birthday and she got surprised. Hotel was very beutifull and restaurant service amazing we love to come again in this hotel this our first experience and we love it. Antti

Spent 2 nights on 6th and 7th August at this hotel, nice looking hotel and grounds. Our room was fairly large with a nice big bed and everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Good selection of foods for breakfast and very tasty too, we ate in the restaurant for evening meal and the food was superb, my wife had beef that melted in her mouth whilst i had a super curry, so very tasty. The hotel staff were so very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble for them, they made us feel very special as we celebrated our 45th anniversary (surprised us with a special treat for pudding). Thank you. Special mention for Amy and Phillip,two of the best. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
