Stay was beyond excellent. The room was clean, fresh smelling and the bed super comfortable. Staff were friendly and professional. Shout out to David who gave us a warm welcome. Hotel does NOT charge for parking, which is highly unusual. The hotel offers a parking garage and surface parking behind the hotel. The location is very convenient. Without traffic it was only a 15 minute drive to downtown, 10 minutes to the Galleria and 10 minutes to Memorial Park. The challenge is navigating the frontage roads to actually get to the hotel, but Waze or Google Maps was spot on with the guidance. The hotel definitely has an older architectural style, but the rooms are super clean and well maintained. The concierge lounge is stocked with sodas, flavored water and snacks. Soundproofing was sufficient that we never were bothered by the freeway noise! We stay at dozens of hotels on an annual basis, and this hotel is simply one of the best run properties we have experienced. Definitely would recommend this property and stay here again.

Nach der Eincheckung gingen wir nur in unser Zimmer, um herauszufinden, ob die Schlüsselkarte/Schließung nicht funktionieren würde. Der Konzern war sehr hilfreich und sagte, er würde den Ingenieur aufschicken, um zu helfen. Wir warten etwa 10 Minuten, aber ich verstehe, dass der Ingenieur sehr beschäftigt war, mit den Schlüsselkarten/Schließungsfragen anderer Patronen zu helfen. So mussten wir das Hotel zum Abendessen verlassen und zurückkommen. Der Konzern sagte, er hätte den Ingenieur-Test die Karte/Verriegelung, um sicherzustellen, dass wir später in unser Zimmer kommen könnten. Nach unserem Rückkehr zum Hotelzimmer konnten wir noch nicht ins Zimmer. Wir kontaktierten den Nachtkonzern und sie rief den Ingenieur. Wir warten noch 15 Minuten auf ihn, um sich zu zeigen. In diesem Moment hat er das Problem besorgt und konnte nicht ins Zimmer kommen. Er sagte, er würde andere Werkzeuge brauchen, um uns reinzubringen. Also warten wir noch 10 Minuten im heißen und muggen Hallway, damit er mit Crowbars zurückkommt. Er konnte uns endlich reinkommen; das war nach etwa 30 Minuten insgesamt im heißen Hallway warten. Ich bin nicht der Ingenieur oder der Konzern, sie machten nur ihre Arbeit auf das Beste ihrer Fähigkeiten. Aber ein sehr schönes Hotel wie Sie sollte ein besseres Sicherheitssystem eingestellt haben als Crowbars. So etwas Angst, dass jemand ein Zimmer mit einer kleinen Kröhrchenbar oder zwei öffnen könnte.

Der Parkplatz ist sehr bequem, es gibt nichts Essens in der Nähe, das Frühstück ist Standard-amerikanisches Frühstück, der Preis ist sehr gut

1. *DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Houston at the Galleria IS THE FIRST HILTON-MANAGED HOTEL I'm STAYING IN WITH SUCH UNHOSPITABLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL FRONT OFFICE STAFF. 2. The front office staff, unfortunately, are a new guest’s first contact but they lack professionalism and decorum. First impressions last forever, they say. 3. They don’t wear name tags at the front office (except Pinky Pradhan), so they carry on providing sub-standard services in anonymity. 4. THE RESTAURANT STAFF ARE ALL SO CORDIAL & SO NICE. 5. The food was excellent. 6. The facilities are super (gym and pool) except that the lifts are so slow and were perpetually being fixed for the seven nights I stayed there. 7. Only one electric power outlet (charging point) in the King size room, which was far from the work desk. So, laptop use was not fun. I was on a business trip, not on holiday 8. I was told that a guest has to be Hilton Honors DIAMOND to qualify to have a bottle of water in your room...amazing! I chose the hotel because of its proximity to JW Marriott, venue of my training, so I could do a few minutes' walk to and fro. I wish I stayed at the Marriott. I may not recommend DoubleTree by Hilton Houston at the Galleria to any one I care about.

Ok, where do I begin. When I walked in around 5:30pm on 10/9/23, I was greeted by the front desk staff, the young gentleman was very nice and friendly. I went to my room initially because the app said my electronic key was ready to use. Went to the 12th floor and nope, trek back down to the lobby and had to get a regular key. Frustrating to lug my stuff back downstairs. My room was really nice, size wise and they do clean it as well as possible but as all the reviews say, extremely outdated, needs everything replaced. What was really frustrating was the temperature of the water in the shower. Early in the morning, you turn on the water, you have to get in because you're on a time crunch. You stand there, sticking one arm at a time in the water and you're dying because it's so damn cold. By the time you get through most of your body, it finally warms up just in time to wash your hair. On my last morning there, I had a 7:20am flight so I was in that terrible cold shower earlier than I'd like to think about. Yes, I would run the water ahead of time as much as possible but come on! The hotel has potential, but they need to put some serious money into it. The hallway on the way to the elevators has some type of scented thing plugged in, I had to gag as I passed it everyday and wondered what needed to be covered up, scent wise. I've stayed at the Aria in Las Vegas, amazing smell when you walk in, they aren't trying to cover anything up, it's just a wonderful, stays with you and even provides a memory to reflect back on type of smell. Anyway, I was attending a conference. The room itself was fine, no issues there, however, each time we took a break to use the restroom down the hall by the restaurant, it was an adventure. We all laughed because you never knew which sink would leak out water and which would provide the soap. You also, typically had to use a roll of paper towel that sat on the counter that you had to rip off a piece to dry your hand. It was crazy. I would stay again if I absolutely had to, the convenience of attending my meeting and going up to my room during a lunch break was really nice. Sorry, I hate to give a negative review but maybe someone will listen and sink some money into this potential of a hotel. Nice employees though!

Ich habe dieses Hotel auf Sternen basierend reserviert und ohne die tatsächlichen Bewertungen zu betrachten. Ich hätte die Bewertungen und Bilder betrachten sollen. Ich war in der Stadt aus einem stressigen Grund, so dass ich nicht die Zeit oder Energie hatte, um zu beschweren und wirklich, es gab keinen Sinn zu beschweren. Dieser Ort ist schon eine ganze Zeit abgelaufen, und Beschwerden hätten es nicht besser gemacht. Ich dachte, ich würde es tun, aber ich entdeckte auch, dass ich nur Handtücher in meinem Zimmer hatte. Ich habe den Vorderbüro angerufen und die Person, die antwortete, musste mich fragen, in welcher Zimmer ich war, so offensichtlich, sogar ihre Telefonsysteme sind so alt, dass sie ihr diese Informationen nicht erzählt haben. Ich wartete etwa 20 Minuten und rief wieder. Sie hat mir gesagt, dass sie auf den Trockner warten. !!! Ich benutzte ein Handtuch, weil ich weg musste. Als ich zurückkam, wurden keine Handtuchs geliefert. Ich ging zum Büro, um sie selbst zu holen. Das Telefon funktionierte nicht mehr - es gab nur ein besetztes Signal. Die Person im Büro sah aus, als ob sie halb schlafen und auf ihrem eigenen Telefon sitzen würde, aber sie gab mir nett Handtücher. Die Einheit selbst war gefüllt mit Grimm an den Türen. Der Toilettenpapierhalter fiel aus der Wand. Es gab schädliches Gemälde und Schäden an Wänden und Möbeln. Es gab kein warmes Wasser. Es war nur kaum warm genug, um zu tolerieren. Insgesamt ist es nur schrecklich und braucht eine komplette Gesamtheit. Die Tatsache, dass dies eine Marriott-Eigenschaft ist unglaublich. Jemand muss einen Besuch vor Ort machen und dann den Renovierungsprozess beginnen.

d by Marriot houston westchase  asa johnson ​ You CAUTION! THEY RELEASED MY PREPAID ROOMS AND WE ARRIVED ON A RED EYE FLIGHT TO NO WHERE TO STAY WITH ALL SURROUNDING HOTELS FULLY BOOKED. These rooms were confirmed for weeks before. They never called or emailed until that they oversold. I literally called when I was in my rental letting them know I was on the way, and they told me sorry I will need to call another hotel because they over booked. Why they gave someone both if our double rooms, I don't know??? I explained that is unacceptable. Here are photos of the rooms they sent put us in due to their inconsideration. Nasty just nasty. Mold, Hair, dirty, ran down. They finally sent a cancellation email after we showed up for our reservation. Austin Gerdes the Assistant is the general manager that gave away our rooms and he wouldn't return any calls. I felt bad for the poor lady on duty trying to clean up his mess. She gave him my number over the phone but he never called. How inconsiderate. This is a business trip and they started it off as a nightmare. Horrible practice and damaging to Marriot's reputation.

Nun, es war Vatertagsnacht alles war cool keine Probleme direkt ins Zimmer, dass ich am nächsten Morgen aufwachte und das Zimmer gegen 8 Uhr verließ. Es war sehr unangenehm, besonders weil sie nackt war. Niemand hat an die Tür geklopft, es ist nichts zu beachten, dass der Check-out bis 12 Uhr mittags war?
