Ok, where do I begin. When I walked in around 5:30pm on 10/9/23, I was greeted by the front desk staff, the young gentleman was very nice and friendly. I went to my room initially because the app said my electronic key was ready to use. Went to the 12th floor and nope, trek back down to the lobby and had to get a regular key. Frustrating to lug my stuff back downstairs. My room was really nice, size wise and they do clean it as well as possible but as all the reviews say, extremely outdated, needs everything replaced. What was really frustrating was the temperature of the water in the shower. Early in the morning, you turn on the water, you have to get in because you're on a time crunch. You stand there, sticking one arm at a time in the water and you're dying because it's so damn cold. By the time you get through most of your body, it finally warms up just in time to wash your hair. On my last morning there, I had a 7:20am flight so I was in that terrible cold shower earlier than I'd like to think about. Yes, I would run the water ahead of time as much as possible but come on! The hotel has potential, but they need to put some serious money into it. The hallway on the way to the elevators has some type of scented thing plugged in, I had to gag as I passed it everyday and wondered what needed to be covered up, scent wise. I've stayed at the Aria in Las Vegas, amazing smell when you walk in, they aren't trying to cover anything up, it's just a wonderful, stays with you and even provides a memory to reflect back on type of smell. Anyway, I was attending a conference. The room itself was fine, no issues there, however, each time we took a break to use the restroom down the hall by the restaurant, it was an adventure. We all laughed because you never knew which sink would leak out water and which would provide the soap. You also, typically had to use a roll of paper towel that sat on the counter that you had to rip off a piece to dry your hand. It was crazy. I would stay again if I absolutely had to, the convenience of attending my meeting and going up to my room during a lunch break was really nice. Sorry, I hate to give a negative review but maybe someone will listen and sink some money into this potential of a hotel. Nice employees though!

d by Marriot houston westchase  asa johnson ​ You CAUTION! THEY RELEASED MY PREPAID ROOMS AND WE ARRIVED ON A RED EYE FLIGHT TO NO WHERE TO STAY WITH ALL SURROUNDING HOTELS FULLY BOOKED. These rooms were confirmed for weeks before. They never called or emailed until that they oversold. I literally called when I was in my rental letting them know I was on the way, and they told me sorry I will need to call another hotel because they over booked. Why they gave someone both if our double rooms, I don't know??? I explained that is unacceptable. Here are photos of the rooms they sent put us in due to their inconsideration. Nasty just nasty. Mold, Hair, dirty, ran down. They finally sent a cancellation email after we showed up for our reservation. Austin Gerdes the Assistant is the general manager that gave away our rooms and he wouldn't return any calls. I felt bad for the poor lady on duty trying to clean up his mess. She gave him my number over the phone but he never called. How inconsiderate. This is a business trip and they started it off as a nightmare. Horrible practice and damaging to Marriot's reputation.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt! Fühlte sich zu Hause und nur eine zweiminütige Fahrt zum Philippinen Konsulat. Wir werden bald wieder in Houston sein und wir werden definitiv hier wieder bleiben! Danke!!!

Checkin-Personal sehr angenehm Gebraucht hier häufig zu bleiben, aber denken Sie nicht, wir werden zurückkehren. Gute Lage, aber die Anlage wurde erlaubt, run down. Preise sind günstiger als in der Vergangenheit, aber es ist ein Rennen zum Boden eines Qualitäts-Aufenthalt. Das Bett ist ausgezogen und unbehaglich. Elektrische Outlets werden keinen Plug halten. Allgemeinerweise rundown Zustand. Ehrliche Notwendigkeit für Renovierung. Fernseher ist klein und schwer zu bedienen. Nicht wahrscheinlich zurück.

Nach der Eincheckung gingen wir nur in unser Zimmer, um herauszufinden, ob die Schlüsselkarte/Schließung nicht funktionieren würde. Der Konzern war sehr hilfreich und sagte, er würde den Ingenieur aufschicken, um zu helfen. Wir warten etwa 10 Minuten, aber ich verstehe, dass der Ingenieur sehr beschäftigt war, mit den Schlüsselkarten/Schließungsfragen anderer Patronen zu helfen. So mussten wir das Hotel zum Abendessen verlassen und zurückkommen. Der Konzern sagte, er hätte den Ingenieur-Test die Karte/Verriegelung, um sicherzustellen, dass wir später in unser Zimmer kommen könnten. Nach unserem Rückkehr zum Hotelzimmer konnten wir noch nicht ins Zimmer. Wir kontaktierten den Nachtkonzern und sie rief den Ingenieur. Wir warten noch 15 Minuten auf ihn, um sich zu zeigen. In diesem Moment hat er das Problem besorgt und konnte nicht ins Zimmer kommen. Er sagte, er würde andere Werkzeuge brauchen, um uns reinzubringen. Also warten wir noch 10 Minuten im heißen und muggen Hallway, damit er mit Crowbars zurückkommt. Er konnte uns endlich reinkommen; das war nach etwa 30 Minuten insgesamt im heißen Hallway warten. Ich bin nicht der Ingenieur oder der Konzern, sie machten nur ihre Arbeit auf das Beste ihrer Fähigkeiten. Aber ein sehr schönes Hotel wie Sie sollte ein besseres Sicherheitssystem eingestellt haben als Crowbars. So etwas Angst, dass jemand ein Zimmer mit einer kleinen Kröhrchenbar oder zwei öffnen könnte.

Das Hotel bietet große Einrichtungen! Front Desk und Hauspflegepersonal waren freundlich und freundlich. Der einzige Rückzug aus unserem Aufenthalt war der Front Desk Manager, Ebonie. Ich wurde 3 mal für das Hochgeschwindigkeits-Internet bezahlt, aber es wurde keine Wahl, kostenlos oder hochgeschwindig zu wählen, weil es es für mich automatisch getan hat. Ich versuchte ihr das zu erklären, aber jedes Mal, wenn ich versuche, würde sie unterbrechen und sagen, sie wird die Gebühren nicht abnehmen. Ich hatte wirklich keinen Eindruck von $15 Gebühren, aber sie hätte besser die WiFi-Situation erklären können als aus unhöflich. Nachdem ich eine Geschäftskarte beantragt hatte, entfernte sie dann zwei Gebühren, die merkwürdig waren. Alles war großartig außer dieser Erfahrung. Ich arbeite an einem Marriott-Eigentum und habe zu anderen Eigenschaften gearbeitet, aber ich habe keinen Manager so vor dem Gast wirken gesehen. Sie braucht sicher Managementausbildung.

Stay was beyond excellent. The room was clean, fresh smelling and the bed super comfortable. Staff were friendly and professional. Shout out to David who gave us a warm welcome. Hotel does NOT charge for parking, which is highly unusual. The hotel offers a parking garage and surface parking behind the hotel. The location is very convenient. Without traffic it was only a 15 minute drive to downtown, 10 minutes to the Galleria and 10 minutes to Memorial Park. The challenge is navigating the frontage roads to actually get to the hotel, but Waze or Google Maps was spot on with the guidance. The hotel definitely has an older architectural style, but the rooms are super clean and well maintained. The concierge lounge is stocked with sodas, flavored water and snacks. Soundproofing was sufficient that we never were bothered by the freeway noise! We stay at dozens of hotels on an annual basis, and this hotel is simply one of the best run properties we have experienced. Definitely would recommend this property and stay here again.

1. *DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Houston at the Galleria IS THE FIRST HILTON-MANAGED HOTEL I'm STAYING IN WITH SUCH UNHOSPITABLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL FRONT OFFICE STAFF. 2. The front office staff, unfortunately, are a new guest’s first contact but they lack professionalism and decorum. First impressions last forever, they say. 3. They don’t wear name tags at the front office (except Pinky Pradhan), so they carry on providing sub-standard services in anonymity. 4. THE RESTAURANT STAFF ARE ALL SO CORDIAL & SO NICE. 5. The food was excellent. 6. The facilities are super (gym and pool) except that the lifts are so slow and were perpetually being fixed for the seven nights I stayed there. 7. Only one electric power outlet (charging point) in the King size room, which was far from the work desk. So, laptop use was not fun. I was on a business trip, not on holiday 8. I was told that a guest has to be Hilton Honors DIAMOND to qualify to have a bottle of water in your room...amazing! I chose the hotel because of its proximity to JW Marriott, venue of my training, so I could do a few minutes' walk to and fro. I wish I stayed at the Marriott. I may not recommend DoubleTree by Hilton Houston at the Galleria to any one I care about.

Das Hotel ist gut und hat hier übernachtet. An der Rezeption ist ein Typ aus Hongkong, der Chinesisch spricht. Die Leute sind sehr nett. Es gibt einige Restaurants in der Umgebung sowie Gallaria, und es ist bequem zu essen und zu essen. Reisen mit Kindern ist sehr gut, das Bett ist groß. Das Frühstück ist durchschnittlich. Das Zimmer verfügt über eine Kaffeemaschine und eine Mikrowelle.
