Byredo shampoo, conditioner and body soap… Very near baisha guzhen, even provided bbq at night. The host is really attentive. We went for a hike to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, which we needed to leave the hotel at 7am. We casually asked the host what time breakfast starts, and breakfast starts at 8am. Briefly mentioned we’ll miss the breakfast and they prepared a bunch of snacks - buns, eggs, yoghurts and milk and left it at the reception for us to bring along to eat while on the way 🥺.

If you are thinking of staying here for your trip to Lijiang - quickly reserve it now! Hands down the best hotel/resort I stayed at during our trip to Yunan. While the resort's location, views, and cleanliness are all top tier, what stood out for me was the service. This resort is different such that they assigned a 'housekeeper' (or 管家) to each room. For us, our 管家 was 張亮 who was very polite, helpful, and amazing to say the least. I planned to propose to my girlfriend during our stay and at the resort photoshoot that was included with our stay. 張亮 instantly understood the assignment. He suggested the best proposal spots, gave the photographer a heads-up, and made sure everything went smoothly without arousing any suspicion. Since my girlfriend was not aware of the initial details, she wanted to change the photoshoot dates, location, and add ethnic costumes. 張亮 patiently helped us adjust everything, and I am deeply grateful for the accommodation—this is something few hotels or resorts would do (or at least would be slightly annoyed when doing it). Lastly, after the successful proposal, we had a meal together with 張亮 who recommended a delicious Yunnan specialty: mushroom hotpot. Since some wild mushrooms can be poisonous, we hadn't dared to order many on our own. However, with 張亮 there, he showed us which seasonal mushrooms were the freshest and taught us how to properly enjoy them. Overall, our stay was wonderful. 張亮 felt more like a friend to us than a 管家. We will definitely return to Lijiang to explore the places we missed, and we would love to stay here again.

In der Altstadt von Baisha in Lijiang erlebte ich den atemberaubenden Sonnenaufgang über den schneebedeckten Bergen – ein seltener Anblick. Das Bishan Guesthouse ist wirklich beeindruckend; jedes Foto ist ein Genuss, und der Blick auf den Sonnenaufgang ist einfach grandios! Ich habe das Foto vom Sonnenaufgang von der Terrasse des Gästehauses aus aufgenommen, aber man kann ihn auch vom Bett aus in den Zimmern mit Blick auf die schneebedeckten Berge genießen. Das Gästehaus bietet außerdem ein köstliches Frühstück, Nachmittagstee nach Art der Song-Dynastie und eine süße Abendsuppe. Auch die hauseigene heiße Quelle ist erwähnenswert!

Honestly, I rarely post reviews—but this time I really felt like I had to, because this hotel was the highlight of my family trip to Yunnan. From the moment we entered the hotel gate, we were already amazed. The place is even more beautiful in real life than in the photos. The staff member who communicated with us via WeChat was incredibly helpful—from arranging our transfer from the station to the hotel, to accommodating my dietary restrictions as a Muslim. They kindly prepared a special breakfast for us: rice noodles with egg, along with sweet potatoes, corn, and boiled eggs. What made it even more special was that everything was cooked by a very warm grandmother. Despite the language barrier, we could truly feel the warmth and love in her cooking. The cabin we booked was absolutely perfect. It had a spacious yard, a hot tub, and a terrace with a table and chairs—great for dining or simply spending time together with family. Stepping inside the cabin was even more impressive: a large bed, lots of natural light, and equipped with smart home devices. One important detail for us was the bathroom—it had a bidet and a fully smart toilet with remote control. Since the temperature in Lijiang varies greatly between day and night, we were very grateful that the cabin had both floor heating and room heating. The bedroom also featured a large projector, and above it, a sunroof that can be opened—perfect for stargazing at night. It truly exceeded all our expectations. The hotel area is also next to a very aesthetic café with a stunning view called Yuntian Cafe. For those traveling with family, this place is perfect—the area is spacious and great for kids to explore nature. If you want to go out for meals, Baisha Ancient Town is just a few kilometers away. What I will remember the most is the kindness of the staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly, always doing their best to accommodate every request. Please never change—your hospitality feels just like being with family. Next time we visit Lijiang, we will definitely stay here again without hesitation.
