We came back exactly 10 years after we first visited. And I am so glad we did. Cocotier Du Rocher is located in a tropical garden that makes you relax and enjoy from the first moment. We felt like coming back to old friends we hadn't seen in a long time. The location consists of small houses that are fully equipped for self-catering, complete with kitchen, a big fridge, and all you need. Traveling with two small children, sometimes the rooms in normal hotels feel a bit small when needing extra beds. Not here, we had a king-size and two normal beds for the kids, and the big veranda including two sunbeds is perfect for a family. The nice bathroom including a walk-in shower, air conditioning, ceiling fan, and an additional outdoor shower completed the beautiful and clean house we stayed in. The location on the island is actually a secret plus. Essentially, you can get everywhere on the West Coast within 15 minutes by bike. So getting around is easy and quick, but at the same time, you might want to avoid the day tourist stream that moves from the port down to Anse Source d'Argent and back. If you stay a couple of days on La Digue, you might want to go to Anse Severe for the sunset, down to Grand Anse, Petite Anse, and Anse Coco, or go up the hill to Nid d'Aigle or the Veuve Nature Reserve and other locations. Cocotier du Rocher is almost perfectly located to get quickly to all these locations. Finally, Stephan and his team are always helpful and provide tips and suggestions to further enjoy this dream island. Stephan and his team are part of the island's community, and we felt that more than once when we ran into some small unplanned things while exploring the island. When people asked us where we were staying, they went above and beyond immediately to help us. We can absolutely recommend it.

GGastnutzerSchönes Hotel. Ruhe, Sauberkeit, leckere Frühstück. Die Gegend ist grün, Blumen und Obstbäume wachsen. Sie können Fahrräder mieten. 5 Minuten vom Hotelpark mit dem Strand von Surs D'Argent. Transfer auf Anfrage organisieren. Alles ist schnell und klar. Reinigen jeden Tag. Es gibt ein Badezimmer, Haarbalm und Dusche Gel. Safe, Tee, Kaffee, Brille und Taschentücher. Mini Kühlschrank und Fan. Ein großes Kabinett des Cups und ein sehr komfortabeles Bett. Personal freundlich und gut funktionieren. Zusätzlich natürlich das Hotel, das es befindet sich in der Entfernung vom lauten La Pasa und dem Hafen.

Wie auch in vielen Jahren zuvor, haben wir uns gefreut, auch in diesem Jahr wieder einen Platz bei Familie Musa bekommen zu haben. Die Zimmer sind absolut sauber, alle Zimmer sind mit Kühlschrank, Satelliten-TV und Klimaanlage ausgestattet. Sichere Parkplätze sind reichlich vorhanden, WLAN ist in allen Bereichen empfangbar. Unschlagbar ist das abwechslungreiche und wirklich (!) reichhaltige Frühstück. Wir freuen uns, kaum zu Hause, schon auf den nächsten Urlaub ! Vielen Dank auch an Nikolina-(****), die gute Laune verbreitet und einen wirklich guten Job macht !

GGastnutzerIci tout est simple pas de prise de tête des chambres sans chichi mais fonctionel Des patrons seychellois super sympas Un petit dejeuner maison avec son jusde fruit frais et oui pas des briques toute faite Et la demi pension du soir cuisine créole assuré avec de beau poisson grillé une viande bref bien manger sans se déplacé le tout à un prix raisonnable Il est évidant que nous sommes pas sur la plage lais à vélo 10mn ou 20 mn suivant ou on va Vu que je suis français j ai bien sur une remarque pour la location de vélo essayer de réviser vos vélo il faut mieux les entretenir car ça peut devenir une galère si on est à l autre bout de l ile ou oui c est du vécu mais heureusement que le chef assure en cuisine tout est pardonné Merci à ce couple de nous avoir fait passé un bon moment un petit regret de n est pas resté plus longtemps

Fffay005I had no trouble finding the guesthouse. I just followed the main road from the jetty, and when I reached the right alley, there was a sign directing me to the guesthouse. The walk took 15 minutes. While the main road is paved, the alley is dusty, beware! I had contacted the owner beforehand on WhatsApp (works well and he answers quickly!) to let him know which ferry I will be on, so he was waiting for me. He also printed me a boarding pass for my return boat, and did laundry. Laundry was 10 SCR per piece. There are four rooms in the guesthouse. My ground floor room was simple but clean and in good condition. There was a king size bed, a small desk and chair, a fridge, and a closet. In the closet, there was a safe, but it was useless as it was not attached to anything so basically anyone entering the room could just carry it away under his arm. Wifi was free, unlimited, and reliable. It was fast enough for browsing, but not ideal for videos. The A/C worked and managed to cool the room down somewhat compared to outside temperatures, but it was by no means the most efficient one out there and did not meet my expectations. There were universal sockets available as well as a UK socket by the bed. The room is not very well designed as the bathroom is huge but the room itself is a bit cramped. They could have used all that extra space that is now in the bathroom for a sitting area in the main room instead. The bathroom came with a shower that only had a wall-mounted showerhead. Water pressure was adequate as such, but a handheld shower would have been nice to wash off all the sand. There is a tap outside for this purpose, but the pressure there is terrible and thus that tap is of little use. Hot water was ample. Beware that check-out is at 10 am, which is very early, and they will not store your luggage. You can leave it at the guesthouse if you wish, but that would mean keeping it unsuperwised in the open-air lobby, free for grabs. There was also no possibility to extend the check-out until later so I had to take the 7:30 am ferry instead of the more leisurely 1:30 pm one that I had originally booked. The guesthouse enjoys a good location; there is a supermarket and many eateries within a few minutes’ walk, and you can also easily reach L’Union Estate on foot. I paid 100 EUR per night, which is quite a lot considering the level of accommodations, which are perhaps at 2.5 star standards. But price levels in the Seychelles are high and even more so on La Digue.

Thanks for ye warmth great fresh vegetarian food, gettin vegetables from market everyday n cookin for us. Thanks for nice stay. And the person behind the show, Mr. Mrinal kapoor the area Gm for Seychelles for le relax, u r a blessing for all travelers. The pains u take Mr kapoor , for every single guest is really commendable. Vegetarians highly recommended, value for money stay and worth travelling all the way.

Ein super schönes solides Hotel mit einer sehr gepflegten Gartenanlage und einem tollen sauberen Strand, dass durchaus seine 4**** verdient. Ich kann die negativen Bewertungen nicht verstehen. (Wer braucht mitten im Paradies W-LAN oder Fernsehen?) Das Zimmer im Beachhouse hat eine grandiose Aussicht, war sehr sauber, geräumig und gepflegt. Das Bad war ebenfalls sehr groß, sauber und mit mehr als genug immer wieder sauberen Handtüchern ausgestattet (sich über einen zu geringen Duschstrahl mitten im Indischen Ozean zu beschweren, halte ich hier für absolut unangebracht). Ein großes Lob auch an das Zimmermädchen/boy, die stets höflich und serviceorientiert waren. Das Frühstücksbuffett war sehr vielseitig und ließ keine Wünsche offen. Täglich wurden auf Wunsch individuelle Eierspeisen frisch zubereitet. Eine große Auswahl an lokalem Obst machte das Frühstück perfekt. Ein Verbesserungsvorschlag zum Thema ”Bacon braten” wurde am nächsten Tag sofort umgesetzt. Hut ab! (In einem rundum offenen Frühstücksraum ohne Fenster keine 2 Meter vom Ozean entfernt, kann es schon mal passieren, dass ein Vögelchen vorbeikommt... Schön anzuschauen :-) - auch Fische beobachten während des Frühstücks - einfach beeindruckend. Auch das Abendessen war sehr gut, abwechslungsreich und hat typische kreolische Küche geboten. Die Auswahl an alternativen Fleischspeisen war stets gegeben, Gemüse und Salat in vielfältiger Form. Die Nachspeisen waren einfach nur himmlisch. Zum Abschluss möchte ich hier anmerken, dass dieses Hotel in einem Bereich keine 4**** sondern mindestens 5***** verdient hat: das Personal. Selten haben wir uns so aufgehoben und wohlgefühlt. ERIC und MARCIA, die einen großartigen Job an der Rezeption machen und sich bestens um alle Fragen/Wünsche kümmern. Im Gastrobereich JULIETTA, die weltbeste Küchenfee, die sich nebenbei um Sonnenallergie kümmert und Inseltipps gibt. Und Jude, der wahrscheinlich beste Kellner der Seychellen mit seinen Kollegen ED und NEDY. Ihr seid ein tolles Team, Danke Euch allen für den grandiosen Service, Ihr habt uns einen unvergesslichen Urlaub beschert!
