My hotel experience at Hotel Sheldon was terrible. First, the hotel room was really small, the hotel bathroom had a really bad odor, and a lot of roaches were coming out of the bathroom. We were given dirty cups and the refrigerator did NOT have any refreshment drinks at all. On top of that the TV was not working at all. Be mindful of a fee of $85 which include parking and to visit or stay on the resort. Worst experience ever. Everytime I asked for manager they were unavailable. Never again.

The location was amazing. Simple hotel, well worth the price. I thought the beds were hard, but that was my only complaint (and most folks like a firmer matress than i do)!

The lobby was extremely dark. The clerk, was not friendly and tacked on a resort fee - no advance notice and no resort to justify it. The halls reminded me of pictures of a rabbit warren. 7 turns from elevator to room. When you turned on the water in the bathroom sink the pipes rattled so loudly you couldn't hear the person standing next to you. Nice ocean view. NOTHING else!

The building and rooms are quite dated, but work is being visibly being done to improve that. As others have stated, the Fabuloso smell kind of cheapens the experience, especially when you first arrive.
The location is on top of bars & restaurants, so be prepared for bumping music sun-up until about 10 or 11pm every day.
The beach chairs and umbrella are a great perk and being able to walk out the lobby doors and onto sand was awesome.
The service and kindness of literally everyone on staff is remarkable.
Our room was 2/3 the cost of my parents' who got themselves a condo with a rooftop pool and restaurant, so I would argue that overall the value was reasonable.

This is an older property but it’s located directly on the boardwalk. I have stayed at this property multiple times now and have had a great experience each time. The most recent stay was in a room with a balcony, which was absolutely incredible! We will be back soon!

Hotel Sheldon was perxectly nestled in the middle of the broadwalk. I could walk a half hour down the beach and broadwalk in either direction. There are a lot of people yet it remains fairly quiet and safe, with walkers all hours of the day. I never needed my car and walked along the walkway for my coffee and meals.
The bed was a little firm for me and I wished there were chairs out front of the hotel for coffee and people watching but the beach wall sufficed.
The hotel provided beach chairs to carry to the beach, which is only 20 yards or so from the front. Beach towels were provided as well. Great spot for the sunrise!

The Sheldon is a nice hotel that gives you ease to move about the boardwalk. You are close to Margaritaville and the theatre so weekends are full of live music on the street's. The Sheldon is in the middle of doing a lot of updating to the hotel rooms, there is construction going on in the building. I will be excited to see the hotel completed. Our room had a king bed with an ocean view, windows do not open in the room. You can hear the people late night on the weekends on the boardwalk “ having fun” so be aware of this. During the week it was very quiet. We had a small coffee pot, microwave and mini frig. Each room came with 2 beach chairs and umbrella. The room also offers a safe to keeps things in one place and 24/7 free coffee in the lobby. We enjoy the Sheldon and their staff, it’s like coming home to family.

Fantastic location and very friendly and helpful staff. Gave great recommendations for places to get a good bakery breakfast and Argentine grill dinner. Also got us a taxi to cruise port. Doing some Reno’s, but honestly does not take away from the charm of the hotel. Will stay there again especially as they provide everything for a day on the beach right outside the doors.

This property is one of the more experienced treasures on the Broadwalk, which only adds to its allure!
The checkin staff was pleasant and helpful. It is located 50 yards from the Hollywood Beach Theater. Many, many food options within walking distance. No need for a car rental.
I loved the amount of pillows on the firm, yet comfortable mattress, Towels provided for the beach. In addition to a set of beach chairs and an umbrella in every room.
