Als australischer Workaholic war er ein großer, sauberer und freundlicher Backpacker. Es gibt zwei Aufzüge und es befindet sich direkt vor dem Hauptbahnhof, sodass die Erreichbarkeit gut ist.

Eines der besten Hostels, in denen wir je waren! Es liegt weniger als 5 Gehminuten vom Hauptbahnhof Sydney entfernt. Eine bessere Lage kann man sich kaum vorstellen, besonders wenn man auf Reisen ist. Direkt vor der Tür des Gebäudes befindet sich auch eine Stadtbahnhaltestelle. Was das Hostel selbst betrifft, so hat es alles, wovon man nur träumen kann: eine Bar, ein Restaurant und sogar einen Pool! Neben den üblichen Annehmlichkeiten wie einer Waschküche, einer Küche usw. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Alles ist auch sehr sauber und einladend; es fühlt sich überhaupt nicht unheimlich an (manche billigen Hostels tun das manchmal). Das Zimmer, in dem wir übernachteten, war ein gemischter Schlafsaal mit 4 Betten. Es war so geräumig, hatte ein riesiges Fenster, einen Spind pro Bett und sogar einen kleinen Tisch und eine Bude! Ein Detail, das uns sehr gefiel, waren die Vorhänge um die Betten, die man für mehr Privatsphäre schließen kann. Wenn wir einen Nachteil nennen müssten, dann wäre es wahrscheinlich, dass das Frühstück nicht im Preis inbegriffen ist (14 AUD zusätzlich), aber ansonsten ist es ein sehr praktischer Ort mit einem tollen Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Hygienisch und sauber, reibungslose Kommunikation, Ruhe im Trubel! Die Dekoration ist sehr einfach, die Ausstattung ist praktisch und die Bettwäsche ist gut, vor allem der Kaffeekessel. Ich bin froh, diese vertrauten Dinge zu haben.

The locations was great and had easy to access to everything. The tram was right outside and surround by great restaurants. The room was very nice and comfortable. Only issue was after showers the room would have a damp smell but once opening the window for a while it was fine. For the location and price, would definitely go again when in Sydney.

Die Lage ist sehr gut vom Hauptbahnhof aus zu erreichen, aber die Küche ist nicht sauber und die Zimmer auch nicht. Die anderen Gäste haben ihr Gepäck einfach auf den Boden gestellt, zusammen mit ihren stinkenden Socken usw. Ich kam gegen 20 Uhr dort an, da es mein erstes Mal in einem Hotel dieser Art war, wusste ich nicht, was ich tun sollte. Die Eingangstür des Hotels war verschlossen. Es dauerte 20 Minuten, bis das Personal bemerkte, dass ich draußen war. Ich versuchte, den Kundendienst anzurufen, aber niemand ging ans Telefon.

Wegen der Osterferien hatte ich dieses Hotel schon vor langer Zeit gebucht. Als ich die Reservierung machte, habe ich später noch einmal nachgeschaut und herausgefunden, dass dieses Hotel 1988 eröffnet und 2008 renoviert wurde Stellen Sie sich vor, die Dekoration und Ausstattung ist sehr gut. Vorteil - Die Lage ist günstig, etwa 7 Minuten vom Bahnhof/Stadtbahn entfernt und mehr als zehn Minuten zu Fuß von Darling Harbour entfernt. Unterwegs gibt es viele gute Restaurants. - Das Frühstück ist köstlich, obwohl es nicht viele Sorten gibt - Der Fön ist leistungsstark genug (das ist mir sehr wichtig) andere - Die Hoteleinrichtungen sind sehr alt: Teppiche, Handtücher, feste Kleiderbügel im Kleiderschrank (noch nie gesehen), Badewannenwassersystem, Aufzug... usw. Ich persönlich denke, dass auch wenn andere Hardware nicht ersetzt werden kann, die Handtücher ersetzt werden können mit einer neuen Charge. Einige sind so alt, dass sie grau geworden sind. - Es gibt keine Wasserflaschen, wir kaufen täglich Wasser im nahegelegenen Supermarkt - Zimmerreinigung Allgemein: Wir waren zu zweit beim Einchecken und bekamen auf Nachfrage eine Zahnbürste und Hausschuhe. Falls Sie noch einmal nachfragen müssen: Die Handtücher wurden nach der Zimmerübergabe nicht aufgefüllt. - Es ist sehr unpraktisch, nur Treppen an der Eingangstür zu haben. Tatsächlich gibt es in der Lobby einen barrierefreien Durchgang, aber die Tür des Durchgangs ist verschlossen und kann nicht benutzt werden viel Gepäck und habe nicht empfohlen, andere Durchgänge zu benutzen... Ich persönlich denke, dass es an der Eingangstür mehrere Treppen gibt. Wenn möglich, wäre es schön, sie zu renovieren und eine schmale Rampe hinzuzufügen, um den Ein- und Ausstieg zu erleichtern Gäste mit Gepäck. Alles in allem ist das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis durchschnittlich und ich werde wahrscheinlich nicht noch einmal hier übernachten.

When I booked two Deluxe Family Rooms at Furama Darling Harbour for a 6-day stay with family, I had high hopes for comfort, convenience, and a pleasant experience. Here’s how it went. Location: Convenient, but Parking Woes The location of Furama Darling Harbour is undoubtedly one of its highlights. Nestled within walking distance of numerous restaurants offering cuisines from all over the globe, it was a food lover's dream. Finding the hotel wasn’t a challenge either, thanks to clear signage and central placement. However, the parking situation? That’s another story. The hotel doesn’t have an on-site parking lot. Instead, we had to park about a five-minute walk away, which isn’t ideal when lugging bags or dealing with Sydney’s occasional drizzle. Plus, the cost added up—$244 AUD for six days. If parking convenience matters to you, it’s worth factoring this in. Cleanliness: Mixed Experiences Cleanliness was... average, to say the least. While the first day seemed fine, housekeeping didn’t exactly shine as the stay went on. On Day 2, we were surprised (and not in a good way) to find dirty towels left after the room was cleaned. Fast forward to Day 5, and we found toilet paper and stray hairs under the blanket after housekeeping had supposedly “refreshed” the space. Not exactly the five-star housekeeping you’d hope for. To be fair, we didn’t raise the issue with reception that evening—it was our last night, and we figured housekeeping staff would already be off-duty. But, as a guest, you shouldn’t have to weigh these options. Service: Quick and Friendly, But a Breakfast Mishap Service at Furama Darling Harbour was a bright spot overall. The staff were warm, responsive, and accommodating, whether it was resolving issues with the TV or bringing up extra towels. That said, we hit a snag with the included breakfast. Our booking clearly stated breakfast for four people per room, which should have covered eight of us across two rooms. Yet, when we went down, they claimed the booking only covered four breakfasts total. After some back-and-forth with both hotel staff and Trip’s customer service, the issue was resolved. But it wasn’t exactly a stress-free start to the day. Facilities: Functional, But Nothing Fancy The gym was basic but functional—a single machine covering major muscle groups, though no free weights were in sight. It’s fine if you’re just looking to get in a quick workout. The laundry room was handy, though a bit pricey: $5 AUD each to wash and dry, plus $3 AUD for detergent. Breakfast, while initially enjoyable, became repetitive after two days. A buffet should ideally offer more variety, but here the options changed only slightly. Updating the in-room TVs to include smart features wouldn’t hurt either; it felt like the tech was stuck in the past. Rooms: Spacious and Comfortable Now, for the standout feature—the rooms. They were impressively spacious, with plenty of room for our luggage and still enough space to move around comfortably. The beds? Absolute heaven. I slept like a rock every night, with no noise disturbances or distractions. The bathroom mirrored this sense of space, steering clear of that cramped, claustrophobic feeling that some hotels suffer from. It’s refreshing to stay somewhere that values comfort this much. Final Thoughts: Worth a Stay, Despite Flaws Would I recommend Furama Darling Harbour? Absolutely, especially for families. The spacious rooms, friendly service, and fantastic location make it a strong contender. Yes, cleanliness and parking could use improvement, but the positives—comfortable beds, quiet nights, and accommodating staff—outweigh the negatives. If you can overlook a few quirks and minor inconveniences, Furama offers a good home base for exploring Sydney. Just be ready for some parking acrobatics and keep an eye on those housekeeping details!

Meine Frau und ich haben schon mehrmals in diesem malerischen kleinen Hotel übernachtet und es gefällt uns. Es ist preiswert, hat keinen Schnickschnack und liegt direkt in Sydneys Chinatown, wo Sie alle möglichen Speisen finden. Es liegt auch ganz in der Nähe des CBD mit vielen Annehmlichkeiten in der Nähe, sehr praktisch. Die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Wenn Sie nach einer guten, sauberen und komfortablen Unterkunft suchen, ist dies das Richtige für Sie. Es gefällt uns und wir empfehlen es. Mike L

Has stayed a few times here, always preferred to stay here because of the access to a kitchen and laundry. However, this experience is the worst I had. Was sick during one of the days (had diahorrea and fever) and one of the days there, the water was out, couldn't flush the toilet. Called reception but couldn't get to them so waited from early to late morning to get the plumbing fixed. Next, the light dropped and water started seeping out when I on the aircon. Had just walked passed the cooridor so fortunately missed it if not the light would have hitted my head.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel! The room had three single beds, which was perfect for our group, and the beds were really comfy. The room itself was a bit run down, but nothing too bad. The staff at reception were lovely and very helpful. The location was fantastic—close to everything we needed!
