Have stayed before and will stay again. Very nice, some rooms can be a little dated but is a personal preference matter, we like them. Staff all very friendly, and that really us all staff from top to bottom, welcoming and helpful.

Hotel is dated but clean and well maintained. Rooms are comfortable, and the health club is a bonus. I would happily stay again. Also staff very friendly and helpful.

A friend booked this hotel on our behalf, it wouldn’t have been our choice as our previous visits , some years ago, were not positive. Fortunately it’s changed beyond all recognition. Our first floor room was clean, tidy and spacious. The bed was firm, but not uncomfortable.pleasantly surprised to have a fridge in the room, there was also a trouser press, iron and ironing board. A basic tea tray , unfortunately no biscuits. The bathroom was adequate, had some slight shower issues, the water heat varied, from hot through to cool, the shower head wouldn’t lower, I informed reception and hopefully they will be fixed, although friends staying a few rooms away had a similar temperature problem with the shower too. Pleased to have a proper bath sheet, not an inadequate towel. Room cleaned, with fresh towels each day. We paid extra for breakfast, quoted £10 each if you pay on check in, but £16 if you pay at breakfast. Ten pounds each was a fair price in my opinion, the choice of continental was pain o chocolate , and pastry’s limited choice of fruit. The cooked breakfast was enjoyed by some of my friends. The self serving toast machine was slow and required two toast processes to get brown toast. The hot drink machine was a little puzzling to use on the first day. They provided a good cereal choice and different milks, soya, oat etc. The waitress, who also served in the bar in the evening was very helpful, thank you Heta. The bar was fairly busy during the evenings, we were taken aback that they had security guards , there wasn’t any live music while we were staying. Parking is also an extra charge. Overall good value for our money. I would stay here again if needed.

ROOM 251, had awful damp issues, luckily we weren’t in the room that much but i noticed it first when i sat down to do my makeup and my clothes got wet from the floor, when we returned the floor was wet 4 hours later still and there was a horrific smell of damp. There is some serious issues with that room. My friends also stayed in room 41 whoch was nice for the value

Informed I would be getting a refund within 3-5 working days because things were that bad and surprise surprise that seems to have been just another lie as I'm still waiting. My stay was the worst experience of any hotel I've ever stayed in and I won't be staying at a Holiday Inn again. Having phoned reservations to ensure the room met my needs as I have a disability and having been assured it was all noted on the system and they would allocate me a suitable room we arrived and nothing had apparently been noted on the system and the allocated room was not suitable. They were able to find me a room that was more suitable but that was made as a double when we booked a single and there was a further wait for it to be made into a single. The No Smoking room absolutely stank of cigarette smoke and there were multiple cigarette burn marks on the window sills, it had clearly had people smoking in it. The temperature that day had been 28° yet the radiator was on full blast when we arrived and the room was extremely hot. Even turning the radiator off and putting the supposed air conditioning on the room temperature was so uncomfortable that my daughter and I barely slept. My daughter (aged 9) went to have a shower. There were 2 showers but only 1 had a shower head, this was the one attached to the bath taps, so this was the only shower we could use, which would have been fine if it had actually worked properly. She had the temperature down at warm to wash her hair but then screamed out from the bathroom as a sudden surge of extremely hot water scolded her. I went in to help her and the shower did the same thing again. We had no choice but to try and continue washing her hair as she had a head full of shampoo, moving the water away from her as much as I could every time it got burning hot. Even so she was still scolded several times and she was left extremely distressed. I tried the shower myself the next morning to see if it was just some sort of glitch the night before but it did the same to me. I should also add that one of the towels that were supposed to be fresh clearly had several stains on it, I wouldn't like to hazard a guess as to what the stain was. I reported this to the housemaid that morning and received new towels. In the Health club area the shower in the Pool area doesn't work properly either and barely comes out in a trickle. The changing rooms are also absolutely freezing cold which isn't pleasant when you come out of the pool area wet. I reported the issue of the shower to the staff and the maintenance man apparently claimed the shower couldn't be fixed. I was extremely upset as I was then informed that they had no other rooms that they could move us into and that we were basically being left without a working shower. They were still claiming that the notes regarding my needs and disability were still not on the system and at this point I was either being offered a room which didn't meet my needs and I w

Visited Brentwood Holiday inn on business as I have done so previously. However, my current experience leads me to believe this will be my last visit. First room, the bathroom was dirty. The second room had a broken ironing board and wait for it “half eaten” bread rolls on the wardrobe. However, it did not end there, the stated breakfast start time is 0630 am but the hot breakfast was not ready until 0700 am. Come on Holiday Inn, sort out this hotel. Hats off to Brooklyn (Duty Manager) who tried to sort things out.
