An incredible set of buildings with a huge range of facilities, including many pools, beaches, restaurants and bars. Unfortunately the level of service does not match the quality of the building and although there are many members of staff, they are often not doing anything or just on their phones. This meant things like ordering drinks or paying for activities such as water sports hire took a long time or was very difficult. No table service, even when we were the only people in the bar. Often drinks had to made in another part of the hotel and so took a very long time to arrive. Loud music played on the beach every morning from 0720, so worth asking for a room at the back the hotel if you don’t want to be disturbed. A lot of the features seemed to be for “show” rather than properly supported. The arcade for example, looks great but most machines were broken or switched off and people were more interested in posing for photos rather than the actual functionality of the equipment. Gym looks nice in photos but limited equipment. Similarly, a swim up bar in the indoor pool looked promising, but not stocked or staffed. Pool tables on the roof top bar look nice, it terrible quality if you actually want to play pool! That said, pools were very nice, beach was nice and water lovely. A lot of rubbish on the beach, but sadly this is true across most of Ha Long Bay. Easy access to the town centre of Cat Ba by using electric taxi service outside the hotel at 10,000 VND per person each way. Several restaurants , bars and tour companies in the town. Room quality was excellent, especially with the sea views; price included buffet breakfast and dinner which made it pretty decent value for money.

Wir waren 2 Nächte im Mercure. Alles noch schön neu und mit dem tollen Mercure Design eingerichtet. Upgrade in eine Suite. Sehr gut. Frühstück und Happy Hour in der Privilege Lounge auch sehr reichhaltig und gut. Sehr sehr freundliches Personal. Guter Zimmerservice. Gemütliche Bar mit ebenfalls nettem Personal und guter Auswahl. Riesiger Rooftop-Pool mit Liegen und Handtüchern. Leider keine Poolbar, sondern eine wohl nur an bestimmten Tagen geöffnete Diskothek.... Der Boden um den Pool sieht entsprechend schmutzig aus.... Leider auch keine Schirme oder eine schattige Ecke. Fitness gut und ausreichend ausgestattet. Mit Wasserspender und Obst for free. Sehr gut. Welcome Drink Voucher bekommen... Aber nur 1 Drink pro Zimmer (laut Barpersonal muss es extra vermerkt werden das es zwei Drinks gibt) obwohl auf dem Voucher stand das bei 2er Belegung auch 2 Drinks gibt... wollte nicht diskutieren und schon gar nicht an die Rezeption gehen um das zu klären. Airport Transfer über das Hotel zu einem fairen Preis bestellt. 5 Sterne knapp verfehlt.... Ach ja... laut Begrüßungsschreiben pro Tag und pro Person 3 Teile frei für den Laundry Service. (Also 6 Teile bei 2 Personen) gutgeschrieben wurden 3 Teile.... Dafür schnell und sauber. Sehr gut Ich würde ja gerne 4,5 Sterne geben.....

Best hotel in Haiphong, I like that floor-to-ceiling window looking at the city view from my room is superb. Great staff great service and bar at the hotel

We had planned on staying at this hotel for just a couple of nights but extended our stay and then returned later in our trip as it was so fantastic. The beautiful hotel is situated in a lovely, landscaped area of Hai Phong with many restaurants and a mall just a short walk away. The rooms were large, very clean and quiet. They also have a balcony where there are tables and chairs. The breakfast - included in the price of our room - was excellent with a wide choice of foods. What really makes this hotel stand out is the incredible service given by all the staff; especially those working on reception. They were incredibly friendly, helpful and researched and found solutions for our travel plans. This hotel is a real gem, do visit if you can.

Ankunft am 30. Dezember. und begrüßt von Herrn Huy, der Front-Desk Manager, mit seinem begeisterten Lächeln. Ich genossen zwei glücklich wunderbare Tage. Herr Billy, Lebensmittel- und Getränke Manager, war so nett, während mein erstes Frühstück. Das Essen, das 2022 willkommen zu heißen, war großartig. Meister Chef Kenny stellte ein fantastisches und Mundwassermenü der Freude vor. Wir begannen mit einem schrägsten Pumpen und Lachstart, gefolgt von einem Blumenkrabbe salat mit rotem Lachskaviar, und schöne Brüste von Leidenschaftsfrucht. Ein genialer Pilzsuppe war neben Scampi-Präsen und Lobster bisch. Für mich, ein Liebhaber von Pilzen, war dies eine neue Erfahrung von Wunder. Wir genossen dann eine schöne Lachs-Tasse serviert in einem reichen und schmackhaften Brot. Filet Mignon und Tod durch Schokolade abgeschlossen die Nahrungssymphonie der Freude. Nehmen Sie einen Bow Koch Kenny! . Später genossen wir alle ein Quiz und begrüßten im Neujahr in japanischer Weise mit viel Blasen. Schließlich danke ich Ihnen, Minh Trang, bei der Rezeption, für schließlich auf meinem Weg zurück nach Hanoi.

We were satisfied at check in from reception, bell boy & security who help us to open car'door and guide for parking, receptionists were so warm and kind, helping for luggages. We were very impresive with the room's space, all facility clean, good arrangement. My wife love the washing machine 😍😍😍 Everything here was perfect, thanks to service staffs full of supported requires & introduction of local cusine restaurants. The room's equipment would be perfect for a long stay family.

Ich hatte Schwierigkeiten, eine Spezialität von Hai Phong als Geschenk zu finden. 2 Rezeptoren Ha My und Thanh Hang unterstützten, kontaktierten, geschrieben und retteten mich; half mir meine Erfahrung im Hotel mehr Spaß und wunderbar. Besonders Sie sind sehr schön und frisch, wünschen unserem Hotel mehr und mehr Erfolg.

Hotel Perle D’Orient exhibits stunning decor, facilities and staff - all were impeccable with the staff being incredibly kind and helpful and the hotel itself being surrounded by beautiful scenery with charming, spacious bedrooms and top class restaurant-level food - a real 5* hotel and the best on the island having also visited the Flamingo hotel as well. My only tip for other travellers (couples in particular) is that the hotel’s main pool gets noticeably busier with families around 4pm each day (especially in peak season) - this is as the sun disappears behind the rock face and temperature becomes cooler. To remedy this, we moved up to the rooftop pool on floor 11 for a beer and some spa time (both of which were fantastic). Lastly, one of the staff in particular was especially helpful and kind, just a WhatsApp message away, Ha Uyen was always quick and concise to provide all information needed including organising transportation to and from the hotel and arranging a takeaway breakfast when we left the hotel. I couldn’t recommend Ha Uyen’s service more, she was delightful!

Fantastische Aussicht und Architektur, das Grün rundherum ist unglaublich. Das Hotel bietet viel Unterhaltung – Karaoke, Spielautomaten, Strandsport. Keine langweilige Zeit. Ausgezeichnetes Frühstück - es gibt sowohl asiatische als auch europäische Gerichte. Tolle Auswahl. Das einzig Negative ist die Qualität des Wassers im Meer – es ist trüb, außerdem besteht der Verdacht, dass Haushaltswasser direkt in die Bucht abgeleitet wird. Es ist traurig. Das Meer lockt kein fünfstelliges Hotel. Nur wenige Hotelangestellte sprechen Englisch!!
