Very great place. The Korean gentleman was too good. Wooden cabin. Smelt like natural wood inside the room and had perfect amenities.

Unser Aufenthalt im Bungalow am Hahei Beach war einfach traumhaft! Von dem Moment an, als wir ankamen, fühlten wir uns rundum wohl. Der Bungalow war sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen entspannten Urlaub am Meer braucht. Besonders die kleinen Details und ein gut sortierter Küchenbereich, zeigten, dass hier viel Wert auf das Wohl der Gäste gelegt wird. Die Lage könnte nicht besser sein – nur wenige Schritte vom wunderschönen Hahei Beach entfernt. Die Gastgeber waren ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit, was den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer machte. Sie standen jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zur Seite, ohne aufdringlich zu sein, und sorgten dafür, dass wir uns wirklich willkommen fühlten. Für alle, die einen erholsamen, unbeschwerten Urlaub an einem der schönsten Strände Neuseelands suchen, kann ich diesen Bungalow nur wärmstens empfehlen. Hier ist wirklich an alles gedacht – man muss nur ankommen und genießen!

This place is very nice, great location for the beaches and walking trails and the rooms are nice and the parking is just outside. We are staying in a king studio room, which is very nice. However, it is the middle apartment out of three. This means that our bathroom and next-doors share a water supply. Our neighbours showered early at 5.30pm and flushed the loo. The noise was extremely loud. Not their fault, of course, but we were unable to sleep through the noise. A massive design fault.

Not sure why this is listed as a hostel given it's a proper hotel - perhaps they have a hostel portion. Absolutely lovely property and worth every penny. Within walking distance of the beach, restaurants/general store and the start of the Cathedral Cove hike/walk. To be clear - you do NOT have to deal with the hassle of driving to the outskirts of town to take the shuttle bus back to the start of the cove (passing by this very hotel int he process). BBQs and outdoor seating available as is a functioning laundry room with washer and dryer.

We stayed in a studio room. The bed was very comfortable and the water/shower was nice and warm. It was a peaceful location and within 15 minutes drive to other areas of interest (Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach). Nice to walk around the small town and down to the beach.

You will find beautiful surroundings and natural features, Hot Water Beach and Cathedral Cove, nice rooms and helpful staff. Enjoy kayaking, snorkeling, swimming (watch out for high tide and rip currents) and just relaxing on the beach. Nice bars but restaurant options are mainly burgers, pizza, and fish and chips

Comfortable beds modern and good value only downside were the sofas need replacing at end of their lives..great facilities though fully equipped kitchen and even spades to use at hot water beach very accommodating and helpful to our family

I was in the Queen's room at Tatahi Cove Backpackers where 3 rooms (with maximum of 7 occupants) share one toilet and one seperate shower at one end of the accomodation. The bedrooms here are divided from the sleeping accomodation at the other end of the property by the shared kitchen and lounge space. The property is showing signs of wear but is far from worn out and I had a good stay. The location is convienient with a very short walk to the middle of the small town. The beach is further away but still in easy walking distance. I was disappointed that the path to Cathedral Cove is still closed, but it is being worked on so hopefully not too many months before it reopens.

Comfortable bed and nice communal areas. Owner was flexible with check in. Pack your own hand soap as it needed to be shared amongst the various bathrooms. It was a good location for visiting Cathedral cove and hot water beach. No major supermarkets around so come prepared :)

Quiet location in the centre of Hahei village. Walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. Clean and comfortable room though relatively small, minimal kitchenette. Terrace in the garden with table and chairs. Fine for a short stay.

Room was as described and was perfect for our short stay. Due to a flight delay, we got there later than anticipated and the owner was very accommodating and got us situated when we got in. Being able to borrow a shovel for the hot water beach was a plus too!

The accommodation was perfect for us and having food places next door was very convenient. The outlook was beautiful. I wish we had more time to spend on the premises to enjoy it.

We know Hahei very well having spent many holidays there and when we had a family wedding planned we were looking for accommodation that was about as central as you can get to everything the area has to offer and chose Tatahi Lodge - private quiet and comfortable - we thoroughly recommend staying there. We absolutely loved our stay at the Tatahi Beach Resort. Staff were friendly and welcoming with lots of tips about things to do. Room was very clean with a great little backyard area with outside table. Resort was right in the centre of town and close to restaurants and the beach. Hahei was a lovely town!!
