Entally Lodge

It’s a good accommodation. The room is clean and quite spacious. The only reason we give 3 star is because there is no service, which we only found out when we called them on the second day (as we usually leave early morning and come back in the evening). Perhaps it’s a good idea to give the guests a heads up. Other than that, we had a good stay.

E tally was conveniently located for our visit. Easy to find. We arrived late, but had no trouble obtaining keys from the restaurant and was directed to our room. The room was very comfortable and clean with plenty of space. The bed was great. We dined at the restaurant, and found it most enjoyable and service great.

Stayed here back when it was the old 'Rutherglen' and to be honest, not much has changed when it comes to the rooms. Sure, they are a lot more modern, but when it comes to the important things...I was disappointed. A few things to note: *Only a room key & traditional lock - maybe in 2022 a key card or other would be more secure? *No noise reduction in room or double glazed windows, so you can hear talking from rooms either side, water running when they shower etc *My room air conditioner turned on, but showed an error each time I tried to change temp, so I couldn't use it at all. Luckily there was another heater in the room. *No curtain or covering on bathroom window that faces the carpark & the walkway to the rooms. Maybe a blind or something at night when lights are on, for a little privacy? *Room windows in rooms 11 - 20 face the road, so there is a lot of traffic noise during the day. Much less traffic at night, thankfully. *No room service provided, but restaurant server was very helpful & pleasant & let me take a plate back to my room👌 *Room was advertised as a King bed, but in reality it was 2 single beds pushed together Overall I was disappointed, but I'm sure some of the things I've mentioned probably wouldn't worry a lot of people 🤷‍♀️ Website is classy & restaurant/bar on site is very nice - but the rooms need a bit more attention. 5/10.

We stayed here for a night before a trek with the The Tasmanian Walking Company. This was a good decision. The room was clean, modern and comfortable, with good wifi and aircon. It was really convenient for starting our trek. The location is lovely, although there is not a lot to do in Hadspen. However, this would not be a problem if you have a short stay here or if you have a car. We had dinner in the on-site restaurant which was excellent. I would highly recommend this as a great place to spend the night prior to a trek with the Tasmanian Walking Company.

Entally Lodge was our first stop in Tasmania and it did not disappoint. The room was affordable, and comfortable, even in winter. Service was very friendly throughout our stay and any minor issues were quickly dealt with.
