Location of this hotel in the old town is the perfect base for exploring central Bucharest. Couple of mins walk to tram stops. 5 mins walk to the Central Park. Hotel is lovely, modern feel and trendy slogans and decor. Staff were amazing here, we felt very welcome. They were very helpful on check in and check out. Breakfast was really nice lots of healthy options but also some nice treats too. Hot breakfast items were limited to scrambled egg, hard boiled egg, toast, smoked bacon and sausage but was adequate to fill up before a day exploring. The room was spacious and with modern decor and fixtures. Would def stay there again.

Location-wise, the Grand Hotel Continental could not be better positioned. Stepping out of the main entrance, guests find themselves directly on Bucharest's main thoroughfare, with an abundance of restaurants, shops and cultural attractions within easy walking distance. The city's finest museums are mere minutes away, making it an ideal base for both leisure and business travellers. Whilst the breakfast was available, we found it rather expensive for what was offered. However, this was not an issue as we discovered a charming café directly across from the hotel that provided excellent morning fare at more reasonable prices. The rooms maintain the classical elegance found throughout the property, with comfortable furnishings and all modern amenities one would expect from a hotel of this calibre. The attention to detail in both the public spaces and private rooms reflects the hotel's commitment to maintaining its historic charm whilst providing contemporary comfort. In conclusion, the Grand Hotel Continental Bucuresti offers a superb hotel experience in the heart of Romania's capital. Despite the breakfast pricing, which is easily remedied by numerous nearby alternatives, the hotel's outstanding service, perfect location and classical charm make it a splendid choice for anyone visiting Bucharest. Ich dachte, es sei ein älteres Hotel, aber nach dem Einchecken stellte ich fest, dass es renoviert worden war. Die Lage ist sehr gut, man kann den Volkspalast auf der anderen Straßenseite sehen, im ersten Stock gibt es LV und andere bekannte Markengeschäfte, das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und es wäre noch perfekter, wenn es etwas chinesisches Essen gäbe.

Das Hotelpersonal war hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war großartig Neben dem Hotel gibt es einen kleinen Supermarkt, der bis 24:00 Uhr geöffnet hat. Allerdings funktionierte das WLAN in den Zimmern im zweiten Stock des Hotels den ganzen Tag über nicht. Das WLAN war im Erdgeschoss und in der 3. bis 5. Etage in Ordnung. Ebene 2 scheint sich im Bau zu befinden oder im Vergleich zu anderen Etagen einen industriellen Look zu haben. Schauen Sie sich die Fotos an und überzeugen Sie sich selbst

Die Zimmer sind ein wahres Highlight, mit einer harmonischen Mischung von Luxus und Komfort, mit Plusbett, modernen Ausstattung und atemberaubenden Blick auf die lebendige Stadt Istanbul. Die Aufmerksamkeit auf die Details war offensichtlich, was einen hohen Standard der Reinigkeit und ein freundliches Auge für ästhetische Eleganz widerspiegelt. Die Küchenangebote im Hotel sind außergewöhnlich. The stay was really great! the communication was smooth. The flat is clean and has everything one needs. I would ask the owner to consider adding a small trash bin in the bathroom, for women who need to dispose of certain things, without having to go back to the flat (my flat had a completely separate private bathroom, so I had to go through a small corridor to go back and forth, but this corridor is protected by a main door and gives access to only the flat and another one). The second suggestion would be to leave a roll of plastic bags, for the bin in the kitchen. The location is a bit far from the center, so if you want to stay for a short period, I would advise another location (it takes around 30min to get to the center). The area is rather quiet, although Bucharest is known for the heavy traffic (and, apparently, many speed drivers and cars with tuned exhausters?). The washing machine and the drying rack was a very nice bonus, they even leave some pods to do two loads. overall really great!

I cannot fault this hotel. So perfectly situated without being noisy, lovely staff, fantastic and varied breakfast (with excellent coffee), a well appointed gym, spotless and spacious. Thank you for making a solo female traveller happy, well fed and safe.

A beautiful place to stay when you visit Bucharest. The hotel has nice, spacious rooms with comfy beds. It also has the most beautiful furniture. You have a fantastic view in the evening. Staff are friendly and helpful, speak several languages - no worries for travellers from any country. Breakfast is fine, and the restaurant looks nice as well. Parking is possible as well, so you don't have to worry about the car.

Our stay at the Mercure Bucharest was truly memorable, thanks to the exceptional service and warm hospitality. The rooms were spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring the city. The attention to detail in the room's amenities made our stay even more enjoyable. A special mention goes to the receptionist, who was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. She provided us with amazing suggestions for places to visit in Romania, turning our holiday into an incredible experience. Her local knowledge and enthusiasm made all the difference, guiding us to hidden gems we might have otherwise missed. The breakfast at the hotel was fantastic, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options that catered to all tastes. It was the perfect way to start our days of sightseeing. The hotel's location is very convenient, with easy access to Bucharest's main attractions and public transport. Whether you're in town for business or leisure, Mercure Bucharest offers a welcoming and comfortable stay. We left with wonderful memories and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
