Ich dachte, es sei ein älteres Hotel, aber nach dem Einchecken stellte ich fest, dass es renoviert worden war. Die Lage ist sehr gut, man kann den Volkspalast auf der anderen Straßenseite sehen, im ersten Stock gibt es LV und andere bekannte Markengeschäfte, das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und es wäre noch perfekter, wenn es etwas chinesisches Essen gäbe.

Die Lage dieses Hotels in der alten Stadt ist die perfekte Basis für die Erkundung des Zentrums von Bukarest. Ein paar Minen zu Bahnhöfen. 5 Minen zu Fuß zum Central Park. Das Hotel ist wunderschön, modern und trendig und dekoriert. Die Mitarbeiter waren hier erstaunlich, wir waren sehr willkommen. Sie waren sehr hilfreich beim Ein- und Auschecken. Frühstück war wirklich schön viele gesunde Optionen, aber auch einige schöne Behandlungen. Warm Frühstücksartikel waren auf geschrotet Ei, hart gekochte Ei, Toast, rauchiertes Bacon und Sauce beschränkt, aber war ausreichend, um vor einem Tag zu füllen. Das Zimmer war geräumig und mit modernen Dekorationen und Ausstattung. Würde es wieder da bleiben.

Grand Hotel Continental Bucuresti Review Having recently stayed at the Grand Hotel Continental in Bucharest, I can confidently say this establishment lives up to its grand name. The hotel exudes classic elegance, and the service was nothing short of exceptional. Special mention must go to Daniel, the bell boy, whose dedication to guest satisfaction went well beyond his duties, setting a remarkable standard for hospitality. The hotel's layout is thoughtfully designed, making navigation effortless for guests coming and going throughout their stay. Its pristine cleanliness and classical architecture create an atmosphere of refined luxury that perfectly complements its historical surroundings. Location-wise, the Grand Hotel Continental could not be better positioned. Stepping out of the main entrance, guests find themselves directly on Bucharest's main thoroughfare, with an abundance of restaurants, shops and cultural attractions within easy walking distance. The city's finest museums are mere minutes away, making it an ideal base for both leisure and business travellers. Whilst the breakfast was available, we found it rather expensive for what was offered. However, this was not an issue as we discovered a charming café directly across from the hotel that provided excellent morning fare at more reasonable prices. The rooms maintain the classical elegance found throughout the property, with comfortable furnishings and all modern amenities one would expect from a hotel of this calibre. The attention to detail in both the public spaces and private rooms reflects the hotel's commitment to maintaining its historic charm whilst providing contemporary comfort. In conclusion, the Grand Hotel Continental Bucuresti offers a superb hotel experience in the heart of Romania's capital. Despite the breakfast pricing, which is easily remedied by numerous nearby alternatives, the hotel's outstanding service, perfect location and classical charm make it a splendid choice for anyone visiting Bucharest. A truly commendable establishment that I would heartily recommend to fellow travellers.

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt im Allgemeinen. Das Hotel war sauber und komfortabel, und das Zimmer war eine gute Größe sehr angenehm und gut gepflegt. Wir waren sehr glücklich mit der Gesamterfahrung. Das Frühstück könnte verbessert werden, da es nicht viele gesunde Optionen gab. Die meisten Optionen waren schwerer, amerikanisch-stilen Gerichte, so dass ein wenig mehr Vielfalt einen schönen Unterschied machen würde. Es wäre auch großartig, wenn die Zimmerreinigung ein bisschen gründlicher wären jeden Tag, statt nur das Bett und die Handtücher ändern. Wenn die Gäste für einen Hotelaufenthalt zahlen, konsequente Qualität und Aufmerksamkeit auf Details sind immer geschätzt.

Der Check-in am Selbstbedienungsschalter war etwas knifflig, aber mit der Hilfe der Rezeptionistin haben wir es geschafft. Danach war der Service angenehm und unkompliziert. Im Café, wo das Frühstück serviert wurde, war der Service freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Frühstück war ausreichend, etwas ungewöhnlich, aber die Kaffeespezialitäten waren ein Pluspunkt. :)

Our stay at the Mercure Bucharest was truly memorable, thanks to the exceptional service and warm hospitality. The rooms were spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring the city. The attention to detail in the room's amenities made our stay even more enjoyable. A special mention goes to the receptionist, who was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. She provided us with amazing suggestions for places to visit in Romania, turning our holiday into an incredible experience. Her local knowledge and enthusiasm made all the difference, guiding us to hidden gems we might have otherwise missed. The breakfast at the hotel was fantastic, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options that catered to all tastes. It was the perfect way to start our days of sightseeing. The hotel's location is very convenient, with easy access to Bucharest's main attractions and public transport. Whether you're in town for business or leisure, Mercure Bucharest offers a welcoming and comfortable stay. We left with wonderful memories and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

I cannot fault this hotel. So perfectly situated without being noisy, lovely staff, fantastic and varied breakfast (with excellent coffee), a well appointed gym, spotless and spacious. Thank you for making a solo female traveller happy, well fed and safe.

Tolle Lage, eher 4 als 5 Sterne – das Einzelzimmer wirkte etwas abgewohnt und das Badezimmer hatte ein Problem (der Boden war zum Flur hin schräg, wodurch der Teppich nass wurde und sich billig anfühlte). Machen Sie einen Spaziergang im ersten Stock und frühstücken Sie, wenn möglich, im Speisesaal. Es versprüht den Charme des alten Bukarest. Ein traditionelles Hotel mit viel Geschichte! Und ein fairer Preis – zumindest hatte ich Glück, als ich dort war! :)

Es war eine gute Erfahrung. Nahe dem Busbahnhof und dem Bahnhof war nur 700 Meter. Der einzige schlechte Punkt war viel Lärm. Keine Kontrolle nach dem Abend. Gruppen sangen und störten andere.
