Lovely hotel! The hotel is 10 min walk from the old twon. Our room was very clean and spacious with great shower! The staff are incredibly polite, welcoming and friendly. The staff from cafe at the front went out of their way to get us vegan cake in the evening. The bar staff was lovely as well and drinks and food reasonably priced. The breakfast had good selection for anyone including nice vegan options. Definitely try the vegan strawberry cake, it was the breakfast highlight for us. As they are renovating spa we couldn't use the hotel ones (we will have to come back to try). They offered options nearby but we opted for a different place for our massages in the end. Overall great stay and we will definitely come back.

Wir genießen unser Frühstück jeden Morgen wirklich, bevor wir aus Bukarest gehen zu erkunden. Smart Lage, können Sie nur zu allen Touristenspots gehen. Insgesamt ist es ein schönes und gemütliches Hotel zu bleiben. Sehr empfohlen, wenn Sie in Bukarest bleiben.

Grand Hotel Continental Bucuresti Review Having recently stayed at the Grand Hotel Continental in Bucharest, I can confidently say this establishment lives up to its grand name. The hotel exudes classic elegance, and the service was nothing short of exceptional. Special mention must go to Daniel, the bell boy, whose dedication to guest satisfaction went well beyond his duties, setting a remarkable standard for hospitality. The hotel's layout is thoughtfully designed, making navigation effortless for guests coming and going throughout their stay. Its pristine cleanliness and classical architecture create an atmosphere of refined luxury that perfectly complements its historical surroundings. Location-wise, the Grand Hotel Continental could not be better positioned. Stepping out of the main entrance, guests find themselves directly on Bucharest's main thoroughfare, with an abundance of restaurants, shops and cultural attractions within easy walking distance. The city's finest museums are mere minutes away, making it an ideal base for both leisure and business travellers. Whilst the breakfast was available, we found it rather expensive for what was offered. However, this was not an issue as we discovered a charming café directly across from the hotel that provided excellent morning fare at more reasonable prices. The rooms maintain the classical elegance found throughout the property, with comfortable furnishings and all modern amenities one would expect from a hotel of this calibre. The attention to detail in both the public spaces and private rooms reflects the hotel's commitment to maintaining its historic charm whilst providing contemporary comfort. In conclusion, the Grand Hotel Continental Bucuresti offers a superb hotel experience in the heart of Romania's capital. Despite the breakfast pricing, which is easily remedied by numerous nearby alternatives, the hotel's outstanding service, perfect location and classical charm make it a splendid choice for anyone visiting Bucharest. A truly commendable establishment that I would heartily recommend to fellow travellers.

Ich dachte, es sei ein älteres Hotel, aber nach dem Einchecken stellte ich fest, dass es renoviert worden war. Die Lage ist sehr gut, man kann den Volkspalast auf der anderen Straßenseite sehen, im ersten Stock gibt es LV und andere bekannte Markengeschäfte, das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und es wäre noch perfekter, wenn es etwas chinesisches Essen gäbe.

We had a lovely stay overall. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the room was a good size — very pleasant and well kept. We were quite happy with the overall experience. Breakfast could be improved, as there weren’t many healthy options available. Most of the choices were heavier, American-style dishes, so a bit more variety would make a nice difference. It would also be great if the room cleaning were a bit more thorough each day, rather than just making the bed and changing towels. When guests pay for a hotel stay, consistent quality and attention to detail are always appreciated.

Schönes Hotel in Toplage an der Hauptstraße. Nur wenige Gehminuten von der Altstadt entfernt. Unkomplizierter Check-in und Check-out. Gemütliches, im Winter aber etwas kühles Waffelcafé im Erdgeschoss, wo auch das Frühstück serviert wird. Ruhiges und komfortables Zimmer mit großem, gutem Kühlschrank. Großes Bett, aber die Matratzen sind sehr hart und die Kissen locker und von minderer Qualität. Gute Bademäntel, weiche Handtücher und Hausschuhe werden bereitgestellt. Gemütlicher Poolbereich im Erdgeschoss mit einer schönen Sauna und einem Harvia-Ofen.

I cannot fault this hotel. So perfectly situated without being noisy, lovely staff, fantastic and varied breakfast (with excellent coffee), a well appointed gym, spotless and spacious. Thank you for making a solo female traveller happy, well fed and safe.

Whether you're in town for business or leisure, Mercure Bucharest offers a welcoming and comfortable stay. We left with wonderful memories and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Es war eine gute Erfahrung. Nahe dem Busbahnhof und dem Bahnhof war nur 700 Meter. Der einzige schlechte Punkt war viel Lärm. Keine Kontrolle nach dem Abend. Gruppen sangen und störten andere. Frühstück wurde enthalten. Einfach und gut. Aber Lärm machte den Aufenthalt schrecklich. Muss nach 8 Uhr kontrolliert werden. Ruhe war gut
