Wir waren im Juli für ein paar Tage zur Lavendelblüte in der Provence und haben uns als Ausgangspunkt wieder für die Bastide de Gordes entschieden, weil es uns hier schon vor zwei Jahren so toll gefallen hat. Und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht! Der Empfang war sehr herzlich, das Zimmer sehr geschmackvoll mit äußerst bequemen Betten und hervorragender Aussicht. Wenn man zum Sonnenuntergang auf der Terrasse neben einem perfekt gemixten Gin & Tonic auch die sensationelle Aussicht genießt, werden alle Erwartungen erfüllt, die man an eine Reise in die Provence hat. Sehr schön ist auch der Garten mit dem Pool und den überaus bequemen Liegen. Hier und auch in anderen Hotelbereichen ist das Personal sehr freundlich und ausgesprochen hilfsbereit. Im Garten wird man mit Eiscreme und Getränken verwöhnt! Herausragend fanden wir, dass man uns ein "Frühstück zum Mitnehmen" um 4.00 Uhr morgens bereit gestellt hat, weil wir zum Sonnenaufgang in Valensole sein wollten. Der Cappuccino war heiß und sehr lecker, und die Croissants und das Pain au Chocolat einfach nur göttlich! Chapeau! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

A magnificent hotel atop the cliffs with spectacular views and old world charm elegant service. By far one of the best hotels I have stayed in a long time. I don't know where to start. I felt I was visiting a Royal Family and was their guest for a couple of days. The decor was not modern but all the amenities were modern. The staff was very well trained, extremely courteous and aware of your preferences and needs. My glutenfree welcome in the room was the first hint that they paid attention to detail. The Greetings from the staff as you walked around the hotel, the cold drinks and towels they gave you when you embark on a tour, the unexpected little gifts here and there, the list is endless. The grounds were beautiful with many nooks and corners to relax, read a book or just have a drink. The breakfast and the drinks on the terrace were one of my favorite moments, with magnificent view and friendly service. My biggest regret was that I only stayed 2 days and was unable to try the spa. I can't wait to go back and stay longer. I give it my GoldnAdvice seal of approval.

This is a top tier hotel with stunning views, warm interiors and exceptional service. The indoor pool, sauna and spa are a highlight. The spa services were amongst the best we have received. The hotel is quite spacious with multiple places to lounge and we never felt like it was full despite clearly being popular. The bar connects to a terrace overlooking the gorge. Everyone from the valet to the front desk was extremely good at their job, a master class in hospitality. The minibar was complimentary and the activities that they booked for us were not expensive. I would highly recommend scheduling a picnic. They will give you electric bikes with which you can ride down to an abbey surrounded by lavender fields. Overall it was an incredible experience and well worth the price.

Our stay was simply amazing, this hotel really gives you the "feeling at home" impression. The staff is super friendly, pro-active and always goes the extra mile. Very impressive and makes us want to visit other Airelles hotels as well. Look forward to coming back home. We tried both in-house restaurants and liked the dinners very much. Also the garden, the pool with the stunning view are outstanding.

Amazing stay! Booked based on Travel & Leisure reco and wasn’t let down (again). The staff was amazing. The property is stunning and the views are incredibly beautiful. Would definitely return. Elio in the concierge was super helpful and very friendly. I appreciate all his help before and during our stay. 10/10

This hotel is one of the most outstanding French regional hotels I have stayed in. The room was large with a very comfortable bed, and spacey bathroom. A huge collection of gifts, edible and otherwise, was supplied for you to take home. The buffet breakfast displayed a huge choice of interesting food. Definitely a must have experience in a charming hillside town. zSteaff were always very helpful.

I have been lucky to stay at incredible properties around the world and Airelle Gordes, La Bastide now ranks at the very top of my list. The only negative I can think of is that we had to leave. Thank you to the entire hotel team for a perfect stay. We cannot wait to return.

The small but extremely fine luxury hotel chain Arielles runs one of the most beautiful hotels in the world, the Bastide de Gordes, in perhaps the most beautiful village in France, the famous Gordes. Of course, everything you get here has its price. This hotel and its restaurants are for people full of joie de vivre and enjoyment. But this group of people will be very, very happy here. The location is unique, the furnishings are enchanting, the staff are exceptionally polite, friendly and kind. Here the guest lacks for nothing, and anyone who knew the Oriental in Bangkok in the days of Kurt Wachtveitl or the Vier Jahreszeiten in Hamburg under Gert Prantner, for many years the best hotels in the world, can only come to the same conclusion: The Bastide de Gordes has nothing to hide behind these famous icons. We always enjoy the L'Orangerie restaurant in particular, whether for breakfast, lunch during the week or Sunday brunch deluxe. This hotel is our living room in Provence and we can only say that we are grateful and happy that the Bastide exists

This is an outstanding hotel. Unfortunately, our lovely room was at the front of the hotel and a little noisy. However, it did not detract from the overall service and the superb breakfast buffet. Some quirky challenges including the room key which requires some practice to get into your room. Also, room lighting did not seem to have much flexibility, it was either all on, which was too bright or almost off. Bar soap in the bathroom was a plus, but also some in the shower would have been good rather than having to rely on the awful soap dispenser.

We spent five days at the Airelles in Gordes as a family of four. Definitely one of the top hotels in Continental Europe. Yes there is the unique atmosphere in this „Bastide“, not to the mention its incredible location, setting and the views you get across the Luberon. But there is also the top-notch service quality which is second to none. And there are the people working at this property which made us feel at home the moment we arrived - Elio and Lorenzo for example, just to name two. This is what true luxury in 2024 looks like - what a great hotel!

We have stayed at some of the nicest hotels in the world and this one ranks right up there with the best of them. The view is spectacular, the location in Gordes is great, the service is cheerful and attentive without being intrusive, the rooms are ornate and whimsical…I really can’t say enough. The concierge was so helpful and the spa treatments we had were wonderful. The pool is just as beautiful as it looks in photos. Despite the old world charm of the hotel, there is no shortage of new world amenities…the gym is new, the A/C works well (funny but that’s sometimes a tricky thing in old hotels!), and all of the bathrooms in the entire place including the rooms are immaculate. If you’re considering staying here definitely do it! We can’t wait to return!
