Good location , clean apartment , somewhat dissatisfying service from reception staff but over all ok

Near story bridge and China town. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

不得不說, 位置是很好的, 鄰近Story Bridge, 往下走一點, 就是唐人街及fortitude shopping centre. 但酒店設備很舊很不舒服, 燈光暗, 水煲有漬又不能換。 洗澡可以沖到一半時沒有熱水, 非常不好的感覺.

酒店很好 下次不會再定了 窗户壞了 被子不乾淨 沙發全是頭髮 燈一閃一閃的 擱這跟我玩KTV呢？ 洗澡洗一半停熱水 説好的洗衣機呢 洗衣機呢？ 總的來説 酒店很棒👍給您點個大讚

They were so accommodating and amenable to additional requests. The reception is on call 24/7. The receptionist was so nice. The room was really nice and the view was beyond expectation. You can see the story bridge and south bank.

Room was about 30° upon arrival, aircon was set at high, sun was beaming into the room & it was like a hot furnace. It was dusgustingly filtly, beds made really badly, dust & grime all over the walls & skirting. Air con was loud & barely works. Fan in bedroom doesnt have a control to work. We were supplied 1/4 roll of toilet paper & that was all for a family of 4. I was SO dissapointed in this room, don't think I will be back unless they up the quality control. Family room had main downstairs with ensuite & upstairs was 2 singles but they needed to access main bedroom to use bathroom. Shower was filtly, mould & scum. Wouldn't be putting younger kids up stairs as the stairs were a bit dangerous at the top. Only positive for this place is its location .

The hotel room that we booked was the 'best in the building' according to staff. $395 per night. Room was dirty, dated and disappointing. Location was great if you are heading to the Valley. Easy walk. View of the bridge was great. Stains on the furniture and generally unclean. Disappointing.

Toilet seat plastic coming up around edges, rooming never cleaned even though I stayed for 5 nights. Limited information available in the rooms. Stayed there around ten years ago and don't think they have done any Maintenace since

Another great time at Oakwood Hotel for Riverfire. Our room and view were great as per usual. Staff were so organised and so polite and always helpful on such a busy date. Thank you for making us feel welcomed we will be back next year.

I arrived at 12.15am and reception was open so that was a good start. The location is right under the Story Bridge which made it tricky with gps directions it kept getting confused. On getting into my room, I looked for a blanket as it was quite cool, but there was none in the cupboard. I called to reception to bring me a blanket, after about 10 min someone came up, they couldn’t find a blanket so brought me a comforter with no cover on it (gross!!) and stained. Not happy! Lifts were out of service the first morning, then only one was operational for the rest of my stay ( 3 nights) which made for a very slow trip to ground floor in the mornings. Showers were dreadful, pressure was great, but hot water didn’t last very long, it was like there was a timer on the hot water. Every shower I had was the same. I couldn’t wash my hair as there wasn’t enough time unless I wanted to have a freezing cold shower. I would not stay here again.

We stayed at the Oakwood for 21 days and it was a lovely place with friendly staff who were always around to help if needed. The location is excellent with the river boardwalk just 2 mins down the road. Lots of excellent restaurants to have food nearby and very close to the CBD area.

I have mixed feelings here..We stayed here for a few nights and booked a high floor room with bridge view.The location of the hotel is good although it is surrounded by the busy roads and there is no let up from the traffic noise.We had the room and view that we wanted and were glad of this. However just bear in mind about the traffic noise, we were unable to have the balcony doors open during the night.The balcony is also very small. The room was ok. Staff here were lovely.Although there is a restaurant it was not open other than for breakfast. If you have reduced mobility be warned that this hotel is on a steep incline. The surrounding area comes to life at night time with so many bars and restaurants to choose from.You can also walk to the shopping malls from the hotel too. So as I said I have mixed feelings..Would I recommend ?Yes I would. Would I return?Yes I would. It was great having the views of Brisbane that we did from our room and I am really glad we chose to stay there and have the room we did even though it was so noisy.
