C'était le 5ème hôtel visité lors de notre voyage et l'expérience est très décevante au regard des attentes initiales. Point positif : l'hôtel a été refait à neuf et les chambres sont pratiques et spacieuses. Parking gratuit apprécié. Points négatifs : en pleine canicule la climatisation est réglée à minima (et aussi coupée par intermittence) par les gérants sous prétexte ”d'économie d'énergie” ou du ménage, nous avions 28° dans la chambre et nous avons du réclamer à plusieurs reprises pour avoir tout juste un peu de fraicheur. L'ascenseur pour monter aux étages est un véritable sauna. L'hôtel est situé au bord d'une route assez passante, donc bruyant malgré le double vitrage. A 5km de la plage. Le petit déjeuner est médiocre, pain assez dur pas très frais, jus industriel, omelette et fruits en quantité minimaliste Personnel peu souriant et aimable, notamment face à nos réclamations, ils ont été méprisants, à la limite

The hotel is stunning and beautifully updated in a wonderfully historic environment, so not the box in tower and so much the modern room in an ancient manor. For royalty-level luxury, you pay Holiday Inn rates (really, get out of Barcelona, enjoy Catalunya without the urban mark up). But, so much more, the staff are amazing. They will arrange rides for you, throw in some grapes with your Cava, call ahead to the museum to make sure there is luggage storage, and greet you personally on arrival, departure, and all trips in between. We booked two nights and, on the spur of the moment, decided to stay an extra night, use the spa and check out the town. The hotel only opened in 2021, and this morning we learned that they still have ALL the same staff, from the cleaning crew, to reception, to the servers; that tells you all you need to know. We would go again, and that says a lot since we NEVER go to the same place twice. Plus, the town is a historic jewel with character and a Michelin-starred restaurant (see our other post). This wasn’t in our guidebook, and the guidebook was wrong.

My wife, dog and I stayed here for one night only, sad to say. As we didn’t want to leave our dog in the room and dogs are not allowed in the Restaurant, the staff organised a special table for us in the bar, without blinking an eye. The service was excellent, the staff were very polite, friendly and spoke English. My wife is vegetarian and menu had a variety of options the she enjoyed. We asked for some Aloli, which the chef made himself. My wife and I both agreed it was one of the nicest Garlic Mayonnaise we have ever had. The following morning we went for breakfast and our dog was allowed in the breakfast room. There was a huge buffet selection and they also offer eggs of you liking from the kitchen. However the Nespresso machine with its wide variety of coffees was the best ever. All in all staying here was a most enjoyable experience and can highly recommend that you stay here.

NICHT SCHWERDEN Sie mit der Vorstellung, dass Sie in der Nähe von Skydive sind, wenn Sie wegen des Unglücks oder der Zeit Ihren Flug annullieren, das Hotel empathisiert nichts mit Ihnen und will die Buchung nicht annullieren! Nur das Datum und nicht die Zeiten ändern, die Sie brauchen, natürlich!! Maria die sehr unfreundliche Direktorin, wurde durch eine Arbeiterin gekommen, um uns zu sagen, dass sie nicht die Reservierung annullieren wollte. Sehr unprofessionell von ihr. Und wenn das nur wenig (was nicht) ist, das Hotel für nichts wert, die Zimmer sind sehr alt und alles lässt viel zu wünschen!
