Archer Hotel Florham Park

Clean and convenient but building already a bit dated.

I had to attend a movie premiere for a friend's new sci-fi film. Driving down fro m Queens I just knew that I'm not going to drive back after having a long night etc. I got to town early and after scouting where the venue of the movie was I started looking for hotels. The Archer was the first hotel I found. I went to the front desk and Matt was super helpful and super helpful. He got me a room on the top floor. He was also super helpful with directions to a couple other places I needed to goto in the area. The room was beautiful and super clean. The only complaint I have was the following morning at 8am someone was slamming their door on the door jam and it wasn't once - it was like 10 or 12 times. Super loud which ****** after having kind of a late nite at this premiere and after party. Oh well. I ran into Matt again when checking out. Again, super cool, super chill. If you get there ask for him he ll take care of you 5 out of 5 star stay.

To lead off, I have stayed in other "boutique" hotels and was not impressed. Based upon my visit here, I was very pleased and am compelled to sing the praises of this one. The first thing you notice about the hotel is that it appears to be brand-new. The lobby is open, spacious and welcoming. It is modern without being over the top. The desk personnel was friendly, helpful and attentive. Although I did not have a car, I noted that the parking lot was spacious and well lit. Its a small point, but the elevators were quiet and quick. The room was the most comfortable and quietest room I have ever stayed in. There was no external noise from outside or other rooms. The HVAC system was efficient and quiet. The bed was large and extremely comfortable, with big, fluffy pillow and welcoming blankets. There was plenty of storage space with a decent sized closet (with two bathrobes). Having two free bottles of Fiji water and salted caramels upon my arrival was a nice touch. The added chocolate for my second night was a touch I haven't seen in a hotel in years. The room was well lit, with plenty of outlets and a nice work desk located near the kitchenette area with conventional outlets as well as USB charging ports. The fitness facility was also well lit and laid out. The food and drinks at the bar was generous, relatively inexpensive and well prepared. I noted that many of the customers were locals, not staying at the hotel, who, judging by the conversations were regulars. If I need to be in the area again for business, I would definitely stay here again and, given the opportunity, check out their hotels in other locations.

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean, spacious and simple. Nothing stood out that was amazing, but also nothing stood out that was bad so, an overall good time.

I stayed for one night at the Archer, a new hotel brand for me. I was completely blown away by the service, the friendliness, the beautiful rooms, and the overall vibe. I was only disappointed by one fact: there are only 2 Archer Hotels. I hope their brand expands and retains the same outstanding service and quality I experienced. Oh - and even with all the amenities, the price was incredibly reasonable!

The hotel is beautiful with special amenities like the N'espresso machine in the room. However, it was the service that set it apart from other hotels. I arrived mid-morning after a 5 am flight and was greeted at the desk by Jared. He went out of his way to accommodate me with a room earlier than standard check-in. I saw Jared again at 6 am the next morning when I called the front desk for more coffee pods, which he brought promptly to my room. It wasn't the actual service that stood out, which actually should be expected, but it was the friendly and enthusiastic attitude with which it was delivered. Jared set a new bar!

Exceptional hotel and experience. The hotel is luxuriously appointed and the staff very welcoming and accomodating. We stayed one evening, took the train into NYC for a family event and were sorry we didn't plan to remain another night. We look forward to returning to the Archer again in the future.
