Cozy Cottage Ella

We recently stayed at Ella Cozy Cottage and it was absolutely perfect. We loved every moment of our stay. The staff was amazing, providing warm welcomes and assisting with everything we needed. We went there after our wedding day, and they made our stay even more comfortable and special. We stayed in the Superior Double Room, and it was marvelous. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was also large. Both the room and the bathroom were impeccably clean and extremely comfortable, providing excellent value for the price. The environment and the view were superb, offering a calm and peaceful retreat. The breakfast was delicious, with a small buffet that had a variety of options to choose from. This is, without a doubt, the most wonderful and delightful place we have ever stayed. We can't wait to go back... Highly recommended!

Perfect location close to Ella and its amenities but also a welcome escape from the noise and activity that the town has. From our warm greeting upon arrival to the time we left, the staff were amazing and cannot do enough for you. VIraj has an excellent knowledge of all things Ella, the surrounding areas, and his whole country. He is happy to provide ideas of locations to visit, without pushing you to participate into organsied activites you may not want. Our room was large, the most spacious we have enjoyed in our three weeks in Sri Lanka. Included were a large and comfortable bed, a spacious bathroom (with a full bath), extra chairs to sit on and tea, coffee and water facilities. Water pressure in the bathroom was excellent and there was plenty of hot water. Excellent airconditioning. The room had a fantastic large balcony overlooking the town and is a welcome retreat during the day or when you return from a day out and want to relax. A beautiful view of the lights of Ella and surrounding hillsides at night. On top of the building is a rooftop deck, with some chairs and a table, great for a sunrise view or sunset drink, enough space for your daily yoga. While wi-fi in the room was not particulaly strong, it was very good in the dining area. Breakfast was plentiful and they did well to accommodate our specific dietary needs. However, the dinner was extra delicious, so much so, we participated in the cooking classes they offer in their small kitchen onsite. You can tailor your classes to the specific dishes you want to cook. Under head cook Buddika, his second cook Ruwan and the guidance of Lahiru, we not only had heaps of fun, but learnt many techniques for sucessful Sri Lankan cooking and how to use spices and herbs to create delicious local flavours. An additional bonus, they also only use locall products in their cooking. And the meal to finish was so good! We left reluctantly and miss the whole team at Cozy Cottage Ella. Definitely recommend it here!

I stayed at one of the worst hotels ever. The place was partly under construction, and upon entering the room, we discovered that the balcony door had been open for days, resulting in around 100 flies in the room. The bed was damp, and the entire space reeked of strong chemicals. Black mold covered the walls and corners, concealed under a layer of white paint. Just 30 minutes in that room made you dizzy from the overwhelming chemicals and black mold. Thankfully we got our money back!

The room and bathroom were spacious had a lovely balcony with beautiful views. Staff were very friendly and helpful with arranging Tuk tuks. Thé location was close to Ella rock but a bit remote from some of the other attractions (nine arch bridge/little Adams peak etc) and required a Tuk Tuk to get into more central Ella (we walked one evening and it took us about 50 mins - steep/windy roads). The breakfast was basic but nice (no options just what is served so a nice surprise!).

We had a little trouble finding the place but was worth it . Stunning views, large , spacious extremely clean rooms . Dining room open on one side to open views of the mountains . Excellent staff extremely helpful and attentive . On site parking .

I am a digital nomad based in Sri Lanka. I came to this amazing place with my family for two nights. Really after living next to beach this place really helped me to improve my focus with meditation. I highly recommend this place if you are visiting to Ella. It’s bit away from ella town but still amazing stay. I would come here once again with my family. Love the hospitality 😍😇

The hotel was a beautiful and relaxing environment. A warm and friendly welcome from staff.The rooms are an excellent size,very comfortable and clean. We travlled Ella rock,Kithal ella station and lot of places.

This place is one of the best places I've ever been. Here we can get the best service and the staff are very friendly and helpfull. The beautiful surroundings and the location of this place are very breathtaking.

Abbiamo soggiornato un giorno in questo hotel lungo il nostro tour in Sri Lanka. Innanzitutto un grazie allo staff per la gentilezza. Molto comodo il parcheggio. Il posto è semplicemente fantastico, una vista a 360 gradi sulle montagne attorno, molto bello anche al tramonto e all’alba. La camera era molto spaziosa e dotata di ogni confort con un balcone enorme dove si può stare in completo relax immersi nella natura. Colazione abbondante e curata.
