clean and nice hotel and price is good

Very clean room and comfortable bed, I slept so well. Staff all great.

Last time we stayed at lauriston place premier inn hotel we had issues with the restaurant but it is handy for visiting family so decided to stay there again. Paid £10 for early check in but room was unusable due to it being like a fridge, stat was set at 28 but blowing freezing air, was told to give it time to warm but at 4pm when we returned it was the same so got another room which is a pain moving stuff but it was ok although it was hard to keep a comfortable temperature, later on we popped back for a night cap in the bar but due to staff shortages I would say it took ages to get served, next morning we arranged to have breakfast with our son before we set off for home but were turned away at the restaurant at 9-15 because she said we are not taking walk ins, I I explained that we were residents but she still would not serve us breakfast because of staff shortages we were told. So our intended plans for a nice birthday meet up and presents in our room etc were scuppered, we ended up wandering the streets with our son to find somewhere to have breakfast before we set off on our drive home. Wish I had given that hotel a miss

Stayed for 4 nights. Got a good first impression of the room, it was clean and looked nice. However the shower was totally useless, not warm enough and really bad pressure. The AC turned itself off not long after you put it on so during the night it was freezing. The WiFi was also not working… Other than that it was a good hotel in a good location!

I've always chosen to stay in a Premier inn because I knew they had the comfortable hypnos beds and 2 choices of pillows. Unfortunately they have changed the beds to silent night which are very hard and the pillows are flat and firm. I had a terrible night's sleep and won't be staying in one again. Whÿ change something if it works.

Very friendly and helpful staff even during the busy christmas period! Food was very good, both dinner and breakfast! Very acessible location to all the attractions in the city. Only negative was our room wasn't cleaned even after requesting a few times.

Hotel was central and very comfortable to stay in. On arrival staff were friendly and place was clean. Only problem we couldn't pay to check in early after receiving a few emails saying we could pay £10 to checking early. They did let us leave our bags though. Breakfast was great too with everything to choose from. Would definitely stay again. Special mention for Marley she was very nice at breakfast and great with the children.

Another premier Inn of good standard with great beds and rooms of high quality.Breakfast was average and serve your self but decent quality and food changed regularly. What made our stay even better was the quality of staff, highly professional.and helpful.Particular praise must go to.Marley who in our opinion went above and beyond to help us each time we asked.Nothing appeared to be too much trouble and always dealt with a smiley face thankyou.

Stayed here on business. Was one of the tiredest premier inns i have stayed in. All sorts of issues with passes and getting entry to the lifts, especially important when room was on 5th Floor! Although they did replace the card sensor whilst I was there which did sort it out. The room, bathroom facilities were pretty tired. The taxi phone didn't work and had to ask receptionist to help try to sort taxi out which was unsuccessful. In the end just waited outside till one became available.

Hotel very nice, beds, food nice. Hotel itself far too warm. Had to ask for heating to be turned down twice. Ordering of taxis not good but overall a nice weekend had by us all. Nice christmas markets and visit too the royal mile. -------------

The hotel was all you would expect from a Premier Inn with friendly staff and a comfortable bed. The service in the Thyme eatery was appalling and the food very ordinary with a 20 minute wait for our bottle of wine, eating out was a necessity for the rest of our stay, luckily there were some nice places within a 20 minute walk. If you are going to stay here I suggest checking the whereabouts of places to eat in Edinburgh before you go.
