Das Hotel bietet nur Check-in um 16:00 Uhr an. Nur um 16:00 Uhr... Viele Gäste kommen tagsüber an und warten lange auf den Check-in..... Lange, lange Schlange. Das Personal hat mir ein falsches Zimmer ohne Fenster gegeben, das sehr eng ist, obwohl ich ein Standard-Einzelzimmer mit Queensize-Bett reserviert hatte. Das Zimmer ohne Fenster, ohne WLAN, ohne Netzwerk... und ich habe das Gefühl, dass ich im Zimmer nicht atmen kann... Und ich muss wieder in die Lobby zurück..... Die Türkarte ist nicht so gut... Ich muss jeden Tag zur Rezeption gehen, um die Karte zu aktivieren...ja. .. jeden Tag... Irgendwann habe ich das festgestellt, als ich versuchte, meine Zimmertür zu öffnen...aber es funktionierte nicht... Und ich muss wieder in die Lobby zurück... Es ist ziemlich nervig. Die Lage ist ok. Mit Bus zum Flughafen und Straßenbahn- und Busbahnhof in der Nähe. Das Frühstück ist gut, mit viel Auswahl. Das Essen ist jeden Tag das gleiche.

Die geografische Lage ist etwas abgelegen, aber viele Busse direkt in die Stadtzentrum, es fühlt sich nicht unkomfortabel an. Das Zimmer ist groß und der Service ist gut. Das Gesundheitsniveau muss verbessert werden.

Our assessment of our 3 night stay at the Waldorf was mixed. The hotel was very nice and as a Diamond member we were upgraded to a castle view room. The complimentary breakfast was very good and the front desk staff were generally helpful. We did have a problem one night with the light fixture leaking water from the ceiling. This may have been due to a rainstorm one night and staff brought a bucket to catch the leaking water. The biggest problem, however, occurred after checkout. At the time of checkout I was told that the hotel printer wasn’t working so they would email me my receipt. Since all 3 nights were paid for with HH points I asked if there was a zero balance and was told yes. Later that day I received the final bill and was charged over $1,000 on my credit card for all three nights. I immediately called the hotel and was told by in house reservations staff that my reservation had been cancelled when I didn’t show up. I reminded them that we had been staying with them the last 3 nights and had no problem at checkin on the scheduled day. In fact I confirmed our arrival time several hours before checkin. So they didn’t know what the problem was but would talk to the reservations manager when they were free. In the meantime I called the Hilton diamond desk and again was told that someone had cancelled my stay with points and it had been rebooked by someone as a cash stay and they were not sure what the problem was. My points had even been put back onto my account by someone. By now I am a bit irritated. I finally receive a call back from the hotel reservation manager who tells me that the Waldorf had a computer glitch on our arrival date and that all hotel reservations had been cancelled and had to be manually reentered by hotel staff. However, Hilton hotels have no way to make reservations using points so they made them as a cash payment. Thereby the $1,000 bill. Now glitches are bound to occur sometimes. However, all of this angst could have been avoided by telling me at checkin about the problem and I could have immediately rebooked the room using points while standing at the front desk. The hotel did ultimately reverse the charges and apologize. However. this shouldn’t happen at a property like the Waldorf.

Ich reservierte dieses Hotel zum Tattoo, ich wusste, es war kein frills Budget Hotel, aber ich war nicht zu erwarten, wie kleine die Zimmer wahrscheinlich ok, wenn allein reisen oder vielleicht ein Nachtaufenthalt, Wir waren 3 Nächte und waren froh, das Hotel zu verlassen, wir wurden gesagt, dass alle Zimmer in diesem Hotel sind etwa 8x8 Quadrat im Grunde ein Boxzimmer mit einem Bett und einem Toilette und Dusche und nichts anderes keine Stühle, wo es Dinge gibt ein Fernseher im Zimmer. Aber wir haben diese Seite nicht verwendet, obwohl es die Lage ist fantastisch und nahe zu allem, das Personal weiß die Probleme und waren außergewöhnlich bei der Hilfe und Verständnis unserer Bedürfnisse, Ich kann nicht ihre Bemühungen verfehlen und die Zimmer sogar dachte ein wenig Ruf um die Kanten waren sehr sauber Wir hatten ein paar Probleme mit der Wartung unseres Zimmers das Badezimmer (wenn Sie es nennen können) Handhabung lief aus und es gab ein Stück Band, das die Schütte auf halten. Selbst als Budget-Hotel sollte man bestimmte Standards einhalten

Wieder einmal, meine Frau und ich wurden zu einem wunderbaren Aufenthalt behandelt. Viele der Mitarbeiter erinnern sich an uns nach vielen Besuchen und nehmen die Zeit, um uns nach uns zu suchen und nach uns zu fragen und eine kurze Gesprächsrunde zu führen. Es ist offensichtlich, dass sie das tun wollen, anstatt es zu tun, um einen Eindruck zu machen. Dieses Hotel ist in allen Hinsicht hervorragend. Ein besonderer Verweis auf Donna. Meine Frau benutzen einen Rollstuhl und Donna schaut nach uns beim Frühstück. Andere erwähnen Pauline auf Empfang (alte Zeit ein Vergnügen), Fiona auf Empfang und ein neues Gesicht auf Empfang, Hannah, die uns wie alte Freunde fühlte und war wirklich effizient. Es gibt andere, aber leider kann ich mich nicht an Namen erinnern. Es genügt, zu sagen, dass das gesamte Personal uns besondere Gefühl macht. Nur eine Sache; bitte reparieren Sie die Tür mit dem Druckknopf. Es ist sehr temperamental und es ist unfair, dass das Rezeptionspersonal (die immer auf die Hilfe beschleunigt) von ihren Pflichten entfernt werden sollte. We stayed for 2 nights at Pillars House. Edna and Craig were very responsive to emails ahead of our stay and even though there wasn't a hot breakfast, I appreciated the well stocked fridge and pantry complete with Irn Bru. The room had every necessity, including a hair dryer. We had a room on the second floor in the back, which was very quiet overall. There is no elevator, so if you need that, you may want to inquire about a ground floor room. The location is great- very convenient to the tram line which will take you toward Ocean Terminal (to see the Royal Yacht Britannia) or down to the city center with convenient stops at Princes Street and St Andrew Square. It's maybe 60 minutes from the airport via the tram (use the Foot of the Walk stop). Coming from the US with an early arrival (meaning middle of the night for us!), I appreciated the 10AM check in time. It can be quite a drag (sometimes literally) when you can't check in until the afternoon after a long overnight flight. Thank you Edna and Craig!

My partner and I arrived late after a flight to Edinburgh airport and were greeted by a very friendly member of staff in the nightshift. The whole hotel looked freshly decorated with new fixtures and fittings, all of which seemed of a very high quality. Our room (room 4) was wonderfully appointed, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was fantastic. Breakfast was freshly cooked and served very quickly. For what we paid this hotel is worth a 10/10 any day!!

Stayed here for 3 nights over the June bank holiday weekend. The room was around £310 for 3 nights, which was much cheaper than other hotels based on it's proximity to the city center. The hotel is located about 1 mile from the Royal Mile and there's plenty of busses that stop right outside the hotel heading into Town. The hotel itself was ok. We were given a room on the first floor near the back, which was pretty spacious and comfortable, but it was quite tired looking with a few little issues (only mirror was in the bathroom, there was a stain on one of the chairs, the toilet roll holder was loose, shower didn't get very hot) The room was clean, and a maid did knock everyday to see if we wanted cleaning or extra towels etc. Check in/out was all self service. I was given instructions on how to check in the day before I arrived and this was easy to follow. There are cupboards in the hallway with things like extra tea and coffee, towels, loo roll etc that you can help yourself to. There is an intercom on the entrance door if you need to contact staff (we didn't need to use this during out stay) The hotel advertises 'parking on site' however there is only about 3 spaces. There is free parking on the surrounding roads though. I found the hotel to be quite noisy. Could hear people talking and walking about in the rooms on our floor and above us. The hotel is located on a busy A road, so I think the it could be quite noisy if staying at the front of the house. There's also no breakfast on site, so we walked to a pub down the road that opened for breakfast. Overall the hotel was ok for a couple nights, but if I was in Edinburgh for a longer period of time, I would stay somewhere else.

Es ist ein sehr schönes Hotel als IHG-Gruppenhotel können Sie über Qualität versichert werden. Personal ist wirklich nett und freundlich. Als ich ankam, wurde mir ein Doppelzimmer gegeben, während ich ein Doppelzimmer reserviert. Nicht ihre Schuld, sondern der Partner der Reise. Com. Keine andere Doppelbett verfügbar so fragte ich sie, zwei Einzelbetten zusammen zu stellen, so dass ich nicht abfallen in der Nacht. Lol. Sie waren tote schön und tat es für mich. Niedriges Umfeld nicht weit von der nahe gelegenen Bahnhof. Will defo zurück gehen, um zu bleiben

Frühstück und Nachmittagstee sind gut. Eine dreiköpfige Familie kann ein Queensize-Bett anfordern. Die Rezeption kann Zimmer mit kleinen Betten arrangieren. Waren zwei Nächte hier, weil ich gerade angekommen bin und mich super wohl gefühlt habe. Das Hotel in der Stadt storniert und eine Nacht hinzugefügt. Ich habe am nächsten Abend ein Zimmer gewechselt. Es gab so viele Spiegel im Zimmer. Vor allem am Morgen machte Baidu dieses Hotel so berühmt, dass es zu einem der berühmtesten Lingyi-Schlösser der Welt wurde, was uns Angst machte, aber die Kinder waren sehr glücklich. Es ist eine andere Art von Erfahrung. Darüber hinaus verfügt das Hotel über einen Eulenadler-Zuchtpark, der ab 16 Jahren für die Adlerfütterung reserviert werden kann.
