Was für ein schönes, modernes und perfekt gelegenes Hotel! Ich werde auf alle Fälle wieder kommen. Top Service, super Zimmer, mega Ausblick! Es gab für mich keinerlei Dinge, die man auch nur im Ansatz bemängeln könnte. Best hotel in Eastbourne!

I decided to book 2 nights at Port to round off mine and my partner's anniversary. We have been to Port on a number of occasions both separately and together to stay and for brunch, lunch and dinner. We stayed in the Studio Appartment ( the second time booking this room) we have always received nothing but exceptional service - staff are friendly and welcoming, and the rooms are SO comfortable- the shower, in particular, is beautiful!! We were SO pleased that food is being offered again, after going on a brief hiatus. Albeit at the weekend- (but no worries as plenty of restaurants im the area for nights where food is not served) We came last year for the roast dinner and still can't stop raving about it. We enjoyed dinner on Friday evening- which was very tasty!! Despite having been to Port serveral times, we had never sampled the cocktails...until this time- they were delicious- and SO more-ish, but we were good! We also enjoyed breakfast both mornings which was as delicious as the dinner the night before!! We couldn't recommend this hotel enough- and can't wait to come back soon!

My partner booked a night at the Port Hotel for us as part of a birthday treat. Unfortunately the hotel and service were incredibly disappointing. When we arrived, it was too early to check into our room so the receptionist advised they would securely store our bags. Unfortunately, when we came back to the hotel a few hours later the bags were sitting out in the reception area which was unattended and a stones throw from the open door. They didn't even have any tags on them to say they were ours, and we felt they hadn't been secured in any way. We were asked if we wanted milk for tea, and told to take it up with us to our room along with our bags. It was about 7 flights of stairs to the room. We understood that the hotel is a converted building with no lift so steps are expected, but to be asked to carry fresh milk up which was supposed to be provided in the room, seemed a bit much, especially given our room was on the top floor adn the stairways were very narrow. When we arrived in the room, there was a USED wine glass with the remnants of red wine in it sat on the side. The room itself was tiny, and very hot with a small fan provided, but this didn't do much apart from circulate warm air. The biggest problem (apart from the lack of cleanliness) however, was the lack of a door to the bathroom. Instead there were some steps up to a platform where the toilet shower and a tiny sink was. There was absolutely no privacy. This is quite a basic requirement and we certainly wouldn't have booked a room with this so we felt it really should be flagged on booking. When we looked around to call down to reception and ask for a different room, (one that was clean and had a bathroom door) we discovered there was no phone in the room, so we had to use our mobiles. The receptionist told us that we were in the only room in the hotel that didn't have a bathroom door and usually people know this when they book, but she herself couldn't do anything so would have to call the owner. She told us to wait in the room until she called us back. 45 minutes later, she called back and said the owner couldn't do anything to help. She said there was one other room that had a bathroom door, but it was more expensive and so we'd have to pay to upgrade. When we asked if we could cancel the booking, she said she'd have to call the owner. After we hadn't heard anything for another 30 minutes, we called down to reception again. She said that she'd spoken to the owner and that since we'd stayed in the room, we now had to pay for it. As you can imagine this was incredibly frustrating. The receptionist said because it was booked through a 3rd party there was a limit to what they could do, but we felt that there were many oversights (from cleanliness, to being asked to stay in the room and then told that because we had we couldn't get a refund), that made this experience one we would recommend avoiding if you want a comfortable, pleasant stay. I have waited for 3 weeks to write this review, because I wanted to ensure that my feelings remained as strong as they were whilst we were guests. In short, we needed a place to stay overnight before I was to have an operation in Eastbourne General hospital. We found Port after doing the usual internet searches, and felt that it looked like an interesting offering for what we look for in a hotel. Happily, and from start to finish, this place exceeded our already high hopes on every level and in every detail. The staff were aware of my forthcoming operation and did everything they could to make our stay the best it could possibly be: I have no criticism of any aspect of our stay. Rooms, decor, food, drinks and staff were all top tier and turned a potentially stressful time into a wonderful short break . It all seemed so effortless, leaving us to wonder why others cannot reach such standards, but it is clearly the result of some very experienced and dedicated people. In short, Port was a total joy: we will be returning...

A faultless stay in an extremely comfortable hotel. Perfect location on the seafront. Very comfortable beds with fluffy pillows. Stylish bathrooms and decor. Very welcoming and genuinely friendly, accommodating staff. Lovely bar with a great wine list and selection of local ales. Looking forward to going back and cannot recommend more highly.

A beautiful hotel for a quiet trip to the seaside. The sea view from the room was stunning and was so peaceful to sit and relax listening to the sea. The staff were nice and attentive and the food was some of the best food we’ve ever had. We highly recommend this hotel and hope they succeed in this industry.

A lovely boutique hotel right on the seafront. We had a lovely room with a superb sea view. The room was generously sized & comfortable. Super king-size bed that was amazingly comfortable. The staff were friendly & helpful. Breakfast was very tasty & was beautifully served.

Just returned from an amazing stay at Port Hotel so comfortable bed & shower superb.All extras well thought out such as foldable mirror with hairdryer.But the best was the staff who went to so much trouble to ensure we had a great stay.Cant remember all their names but Arron & David were memorable.Will definitely be returning.
