I spent one night in the Chelsea Hotel to do some sightseeing in Dar and it was very good for that purpose. The hotel was a little bit dated, but otherwise completely up to the standards which I expect from a hotel. It's located not far from the clock tower, which to my understanding pinpoints the centerpoint of the city. The actual sights I went to see started further away, about 20 minutes by foot. The room was adequate in size and had good aircon. I had a twin room. I first tried sleeping in the bed further away from the aircon, but the air blew directly there, so I had to move to the bed right under the aircon unit. The hotel was located close to a busy road and the honking of the cars could be heard up to the sixth floor. However it wasn't bad. The breakfast was ok. It didn't have a very wide selection, but the items I tried were tasty and of good quality. Also the setting in the restaurant was pleasant. The only negative I have to say is the extraorbitant exchange rate. I had paid my room rate in advance, but I had to pay the city tax (1.50 USD) at the hotel. I asked to pay in Tsh and had to pay 7000 Tsh, equivalent to about 3$. My loss was only 1.50$, so it wasn't a big deal in my case, but the principle left a bad taste in my mouth. If the room rate would have been 1.50$ higher but the city tax 3500 Tsh, I would have left as a happy customer. The hotel offered airport transfer for 42000 Tsh. It was quite pricy. The fixed price at the official taxi stand at the airport was 30000 Tsh. On the way back to the airport I used a rideshare app to get my transfer, it cost Tsh 12000.

Die Zimmer waren sehr gemütlich und freundlich, mit einem Fernseher, einem Minibar und einem Klimaanlage. Die Toiletten waren sehr sauber und sanitiert und Handtücher auch geräuchert, wie sie gut gewaschen wurden. Ich mag es, dass das Hotel in der Stadt mit einem engen Zugang zu einer Vielzahl wichtiger Orte, Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten ist. Ich war in einem nicht rauchenden Zimmer und konnte Rauchen aus anderen Zimmern stinken. Ich habe die Rezeption gebeten, mein Zimmer zu ändern, was sie getan haben.

Das Hotel in Tanzang ist gestern Abend die erste Wahl, weil es nicht weit vom Flughafen entfernt ist, nicht weit von der Stadt entfernt ist. Das Frühstück ist auch sehr groß und der Pool ist auch vorhanden.

Als ich ankam, wartete ich eine Stunde, um einzuchecken. Ich sagte, dass die Check-in-Zeit um zwei Uhr und die Check-out-Zeit um 10 Uhr sei. Ich war ein wenig überrascht, aber dann gab das Twin-Bett ein kostenloses Upgrade zum Doppelzimmer. Frühstück wie heiße Milch, Spiegeleier vor Ort. Es leben jetzt ein paar Mücken, und sie sind besonders schnell zu fangen. Die Einrichtungen sind etwas geschichtsträchtig, das Wasser ist etwas verstopft und es gibt weniger Fernsehsendungen. Die Zimmerreinigung erfolgt zeitnaher. Der Kellner ist sehr gut. Wie ist das Abendessen so langsam, aber Sie können das Telefon lesen, um eine Bewertung zu schreiben, es scheint, dass dies der Rhythmus ist, die umliegenden Straßen sind ordentlich und fühlen sich sicherer an. Die Moschee vor dem Fenster sendet mehrmals täglich. Um fünf Uhr wird jemand geweckt. Zum Glück kann ich es nicht hören.

I have been traveling to this beautiful city of Dar es Salam for the past 20 years and have stayed at almost all the hotels and hotel/apartments that rate from 3* to 5*. I have to be honest that many have impressed me and some disappointed me and I could say some have surprised me, but I still had to find one that was 100% on point until I landed at Aura Suites. This place is in a wonderful location of the city, it is central and it can serve business people single or in groups, it could play host to families on short stays or those in transit and would also be ideal for groups of tourists. I happens to pick a one bedroom suite, what I got was jaw dropping and for a very very affordable rate inclusive of breakfast. I had what they call a mini kitchen but to me was a kitchen for a good 2 bedroom apartment anywhere in the world, I got a living room with beautiful furniture and a massive television, a dining room, a guest cloak room, a laundry room and the bedroom was actually even more than my expectation this is a huge en-suite room with a massive TV, closet, and safe box. The furniture and fixtures are all top notch and of high quality. The showers are rain showers with enough water pressure and hot water is always available. They have a roof top bar and restaurant on the 16th floor that gives you an amazing view of the skyline of Dar es salaam, the food was amazing and they have every kind of drink at their bar and all at very competitive reasonable prices. The entire building is immensely neat and clean it may remind you of a military hospital in terms of the precision and attention to detail when it comes to cleanliness and well maintained. Last but not least the staff are friendly, and educated with knowledge of what they are serving in drink or food which at times can be a challenge even in the top 5* hotels in Dar. I was amazed that the top management and managers of the hotel are consistently moving around the place and checking on the services, as I assumed these maybe businessman who are guests but very professional well dressed men would approach me and always ask if I am ok and how was my meal and my breakfast and or if I slept well. All in all they have me as their regular customer and I recommend anybody intending to visit Dar to stay at Aura suites

Wir hatten 3 wundervolle Nächte im Hyatt. Das Zimmer war großartig, die Aussicht aufs Meer und den Hafen atemberaubend. Das Bett ist sehr bequem, es gibt genug Ablagefläche im Zimmer und alles ist super sauber. Außerdem gibt es genügend Wasserflaschen. Das Badezimmer hat nicht nur eine große Dusche, sondern auch eine freistehende Badewanne! Das Personal ist unglaublich freundlich und aufmerksam! Das Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen - jeder findet sich was, alles ist frisch und hochwertig! Definitiv eine Empfehlung - Preis/Leistung stimmt hier definitiv! Besonders schön ist der Pool (sehr sauber) mit einem tollen Blick auf den Hafen und das Meer. Auch hier ist alles super sauber und die Mitarbeiter lassen keine Wünsche offen!

Das Hotel ist zwar etwas älter allerdings gut gepflegt und sehr sauber. Die Zimmer entsprechen dem europäischen Standard. einziger Mangel sind die nicht 100% Insektensicheren Netzte an den Fenstern so dass sich Nachts ab und an doch ein Moskito ins Zimmer verirrt(wenn man mit Klimaanlage schläft kein Problem). Und im Zimmer gab es keine Rauchmelder, Halterung zwar vorhanden aber das Gerät fehlte. Das Personal war super freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und werden wieder kommen. Preis/Leistungsmässig das beste Hotel was wir in Dar bisher hatten

Das Zimmer war sauber, sauber Paste. Im Zimmer ist ein TV. Das Badezimmer ist sauber, die Blei ist neu, es ist heißes Wasser. Von dem Hafen 20 Minuten zu Fuß. Es gibt KFC in der Nähe.

Die Lage ist weit vom Stadtzentrum entfernt und der Preis ist relativ günstig. Außerhalb des Hotels sind relativ schäbige Gegenden, aber auch der allgemeine Entwicklungsstand von Tansania ist durchschnittlich, so dass es nicht viele wirklich gute Gegenden gibt. Die hygienischen Bedingungen sind durchschnittlich und die Tischdecken im Restaurant sind fleckig. Im Allgemeinen ist das Niveau der inländischen Express-Hotels in Ordnung, aber es wird nicht für hohe Lebensbedingungen empfohlen.

It‘s a fairly new hotel and part of Marriott Bonvoy. I enjoyed to stay there a lot, the staff is very friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet is nice and with various options. The pool has a nice size, however lacking a view. Talking about view, some rooms have nice sea view. Others have pool view but you also see the green landscape which is nice too. The rooms are pretty big, kind of small TV though, but they feel very comfortable and the bed is great too. Also USB and an international power plug at the night stand, which still a lot of other hotels don‘t have. Rooms are cleaned very well. The gym is very basic, only machines for cardio and a few weights. Ate dinner at the restaurant several times and always got good food. There is an area called Slipway just 5 walking minutes away, that also provides great food options and a bit of nightlife.
