I had a comfortable relaxing stay at Cadwgan House. The rooms are of good proportions, beautiful countryside to sea views. There is some work still being carried out but if you speak to the lovely owners Jo znd Richard they will honestly and openly tell you what is happening. Does it ruin your stay? No is my answer. Clean fresh linen on the beds, good towels, good selection of hot drinks on the tray in your room and a quiet location to recharge. I have read a few negative reviews but I did not experience these horror stories and from those staying at the same time I spoke to neither did they. Will return and hope to see the lovely renovations complete. Keep up the good work and keep your heads held high from the awful negativity of mean people.

On a sunny Saturday and this was the only available option. Should have slept outside with the sheep. The shower door was difficult to close and even more difficult to open. Not a fun position as the water switch would not turn off. On top of all this the main fire alarm sounded. The inn was in very poor physical condition and smelled of rotting carpet. A real fire hazard. The worst B&B in 3 weeks in the UK. Good breakfast and no noise from the adjacent passing trains. 25 minute walk to the beach at a fast clip.

My mate booked on a whim after we were late catching the coach to Llandudno. It was already too expensive for me at £100 a night. When we got there, the place was dingy and neglected. The plaster on the walls in the bar area was crumbling and the fireplace was stuffed with cardboard. The landlady had all her washing in piles for ironing on a massive ironing board. She told us our room number and we had to find it ourselves. The room was small, it just fitted a double and single bed. The tiolet and shower was a tight squeeze, if you're on the heavier side then don't expect to shower there. The towelling rail was coming off the wall. By 90clock, we were tired from travelling and was watching the TV.The 'hotel' advertised a flat screen tv but it was a computer screen instead. I joked the room reminded me of cell block H, when suddenly all the electrics went off as if it was lights out time. But we found out later, it was a power cut. The kettle was too far away from the socket, we had to boil it on the bed 😆. Before we could sleep, we had the noises of other guests trample up the stairs and slam their doors. Next morning we came down for breakfast, between 8 and 9 am We both had the full English, which was a bit small but tasty. I asked for scrambled but got a normal fried egg. The place has such potential and could be a goldmine in the right hands, but it has been obviously neglected.

I had hoped i would be able to get a roll, or sandwich in the evening. Admittedly, i only asked for some crisps, as it appeared there was no service, as such, in the evening. The breakfast was good & the room clean & comfortable. However, it would be better to make sure that everything in the room is secure & not left for the customer to discover!!!

I really do not like writing negative reviews. Particularly when the owners of the B&B are such friendly people and the accommodation is one of the least expensive at £246 for two nights in a popular holiday destination. Even so with the best will in the world it is difficult to recommend this establishment.l find it difficult to accept that there are people calling it exceptional. There is not enough room here to say everything so I have completed a google review which you can check out. In my experience it is not “4 star” and not “upmarket” it is a poor B&B with great possibilities for the future.

First the good things :- Clean bedding and towels. Helpful friendly owners. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Now the bad things:- The premises were generally tired and looked as if they had been furnished with charity shop furniture. We stayed in room 5 on the 2nd floor. The curtains were mouldy. One double glazed window had been removed and a piece of perspex had been siliconed into place. The curtain rail was loose and had screws missing. Although the shower itself was fairly clean with only minimal mould the skirting board beneath the door was absolutely heaving with dirt as were the rest of the skirting in the bathroom. The held was loose and tilted at an angle as was the toothmug holder. The tooth mug itself was filthy in the bottom. The bathroom waste bin was chrome and the top looked as if it had not been even wiped in ages. The chrome pedestal toilet roll holder was dirty and rusty. The towel rail and wall mounted toilet roll holder had obviously been ripped off the wall at some stage and lumps of filler had been used to fill the holes and had not been sanded or painted.

A lovely little hotel. We were welcomed at the entrance and shown where our room was. Nice, spacious family room for the four of us. Hotel looks a little dated but is clean and cosy. Lovely breakfast in the morning with plenty of hot and cold options.

Clean and freshly painted with new curtains and throws. Friendly hosts and good cooked breakfast. This is a traditional seaside B&B. Old but solid furniture ... but what's wrong with that? They could've replaced it with modern flimsy mdf cupboards but much more eco friendly to retain the retro feel and I enjoyed the cream corner bath and gold plated taps.
