Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit unserem dreitägigen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und sehr aufmerksam, wir hatten ausgezeichnete Empfehlungen für Besuche in der Umgebung und Restaurants. Die Rezeption ist 24 Stunden am Tag geöffnet.Das Zimmer ist sehr schön eingerichtet, ziemlich groß und sehr ruhig, es gibt genügend Stauraum, ein Höflichkeitstablett mit ausgezeichneten kleinen Kuchen steht den Kunden zur Verfügung. Die Bettwäsche ist bequem. Das geräumige Badezimmer hat eine italienische Dusche. Das Frühstück ist sehr korrekt. Das Hotel liegt etwa eine Viertelstunde zu Fuß vom Stadtzentrum entfernt und in der Nähe des Bahnhofs. Ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Kurz gesagt, eine großartige Adresse, auf die wir bei unserem nächsten Aufenthalt in Como nicht verzichten werden.

Sehr schöner Ort mit all dem Charme der alten ... gut gelegen neben dem Bahnhof und 10 Minuten zu Fuß vom Stadtzentrum entfernt, ... makellose Sauberkeit, guter Geschmack für Dekoration ... Personal wirklich an der Spitze. Unser Zimmer war in Ordnung, sauber, mit dem freundlichen Willkommenstablett, das Bett ist etwas klein, das schmiedeeiserne Kopfteil ist sehr schön, aber nicht so toll, wenn man lange Haare hat. Cause Covid (italienische Regeln sind zu weit von unseren in Frankreich entfernt), das Frühstück wird auf dem Teller serviert, was die Freiheit, die wir in den Ferien suchen, etwas verdirbt. Wir haben 2 Nächte dort verbracht und immer frisches Obst, was wirklich nett ist… sehr guter Cappuccino… Wir fanden das Hotel etwas teuer (wir haben unseren Urlaub in 4 verschiedenen Hotels zwischen Mailand und Como verbracht), aber anscheinend ist es der Durchschnitt in dieser Stadt. Wir werden höchstwahrscheinlich wiederkommen

Loved this beautiful Hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included in a cute breakfast room. The room was spacious for two friend and the beds very comfortable. Very close to the main Como S. Giovanni train Station so can walk from station to hotel with ease. Shower pressure was amazing also! very secure (had to be buzzed in or use your room keycard to get it). Walkable to city centre. No need for any transportation. Front of House were amazing with showing us where everything was in the city and housekeeping were great also. (especially when we wanted to change rooms, they accommodated us)

We had a bad experience at this hotel. We had two rooms, one of which was fine. The other stank of garbage and sewage. We mentioned this to the hotel's late afternoon staff, who said they'd tell their manager. Nothing happened. No follow up and no attempt to remedy or apology. My daughters couldn't sleep due to the smell, even with the window open. When I mentioned the issue the next morning, the morning hotel receptionist nodded and said that was because of the construction being done outside. Later, when I mentioned it again, she said it was our fault because she claimed we had refused to have the room cleaned the day before. We hadn't and it was cleaned. The stench was clearly a known problem, and was well beyond any minor odor issues in a hotel of staleness or disinfectant that one might expect. In addition, the phone in my room did not work and the first night, the phone rang twice, with nobody there. Someone knocked on the door a few minutes later and it was the late afternoon/night receptionist who said I had had hairstyling done that day at a place in town and had not paid. She didn't believe me when I assure her I hadn't. My daughters pointed out the state of my hair, which had clearly not been styled, and she finally left the room, clearly not convinced I hadn't had my hair done and bailed (I am a 58 year old woman). We discussed it later with her and she seemed to concede that the woman supposedly had blonde hair and was in her 20's so it probably wasn't me. No apology etc. It was a strange stay, all in all.

This hotel hits A+ in all categories. We arrived via train and it was a 5 minute or so walk. This turned out to be a blessing, as our friends that were traveling with us (they booked another hotel further away) told us they could not get a taxi. Would have hate to have to drag our luggage further than 5 minutes! The front desk staff were superb. English speaking. Check in/out process was simple. They also made restaurant recommendations. Our room was comfortable, nice beds, large closet for storage. The bathroom and shower were very clean and nice. Air condition worked well and kept us cool. Breakfast was included in the room rate. We enjoyed a good variety of pastries, meats and cheese. Yogurts and a hard boil egg machine for freshly hard boiled eggs. That was a treat! Also enjoyed the cappuccino made each morning. They also had a terrace area for relaxation with view to a lovely aqueduct. The location is on a small and quiet street. Not a lot of traffic. It is not lake front, but within 10 minutes walking distance. We found a market nearby.

I made a last-minute booking for this hotel after a sleepless night at a nearby hotel where the advertised A/C did not exist (even in May, Como gets warm). This hotel was more expensive, but getting a night of blissfully cool sleep in total silence and 65 F degree A/C was worth it. So I can confirm, this hotel has very good A/C! Even apart from that, this is also just an overall pleasant hotel that I'd return to if I ever were in Como again - it is on a fairly quiet street, so minimal loud vehicle traffic, but the location is still easily walkable (under 10 minutes) to the train station, lake, and central part of the town. The rooms are spacious and clean and quiet, and there is a lovely greenhouse/semi-outdoor patio area open for guests (which was nice to sit in after check-out rather than train station for 2 hours). Breakfast is also included in the rate - it wasn't the best hotel breakfast I had in Italy, but it had standard yogurt/pastries/toast/coffee etc that were fine.

The location of this hotel was off the main road but close by to walk to everything. The beds very comfortable. They had a great breakfast and those at the reception were so helpful with suggestions for us to park, places to eat and how to navigate around the city. I would recommend to any who are here to visit beautiful Lake Como. My only suggestion would be some thicker towels in the bathroom as they were paper thin.

Hotel reception was helpfull and kind. Also hotel was so close Como S.G. train station and citycenter. Room was clean, well designed. The breakfast was delitious. Our main objektife was discovery of zone in order to plan next holiday with our friends. This hotel will be our favoriye öne for the Como region. .

One of the nice things when staying in any hotel is waking up and making yourself a coffee from the tea and coffee tray provided. Well not at Borgo Antico ! When I asked for coffee for my rom I was told "We don't provide coffee in the room as we sell it in the bar" This is the only hotel in the world that I have experienced this and basically mean spirited, hence only 2 stars. The bathroom had a powerful shower that the shower tray couldn't cope with and flooded the bathroom within 1 minute. Everything else was fine. Helpful staff, nice breakfast and conveniently located. It's the coffee situation that really let the place down for me !

Exceptional stay! This was my best stay through Greece and Italy over the past 2 months. Great location, an easy walk to San Giovanni Train Station, the lake and the town centre. Both the room and the bathroom were exceptionally clean and nice and spacious. Shower had good pressure and hot water. Bed and pillows very comfortable Very quiet, great sleep. Charging points and light switches in good convenient locations. Good heating on cold nights! Staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend!

This hotel is very comfortable and clean It is well situated near the station and in easy walking distance of the lake and Como old town. Breakfast is basic but plentiful continental buffet. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room There are restaurants and bars locally

The hotel is quaint, nice and clean for the price and is about a 15 minute walk to the downtown area. The staff are friendly and helpful. Now the downside which really is not the hotel's fault. Lake Como lacks public transportation in a big way! Uber is unheard and I am not sure taxi''s exist only to get from the train station but once you get to your destination you will be hard pressed to get to anywhere if you need a ride. It is basically impossible. We had to cancel 2 dinner reservations because we could not get there. The town of Como is so so. There is a ferry to take you to other small towns on the lake but that is a nightmare. We went to buy a ticket in advance but you are not allowed. The day of the trip you wait on an extremely long line only to be told it is a one way ticket and you have to get off the ferry and stand on another line to buy a ticket to return because they get sold out. Lastly, after you have waited to buy the return ticket you find out the only ticket you can buy is the 2 hour slow boat ride back the fast boat is sold out already. There has to be a better way. They should tell you when you are buying the 1st ticket that the return fast boat is already sold out. If you can afford you can rent a private boat but do that way in advance because to get one on that day is impossible and they are expensive.

Our experience here was very good. Friendly staff helped us park five minutes away at the train station. We had our own mini courtyard for afternoon wine breaks. Breakfast was varied and included hot food and capuccini. The only snag was with plumbing. The shower had baffling controls, cabinet doors level with the floor that didn't seal completely and a drain that was plugged, so water flooded the bathroom and into the bedroom. Another member of our party found their sink clogged. Both these issues were quickly resolved to our satisfaction by staff. We recommend this place.
