I never like to leave a bad review, but I must. I blew all of my Marriott points for a weekend stay and feel completely ripped off. Positives - great location, clean (because it's new). Negatives - terrible check-in process, micro-sized rooms, bad breakfast options (out of coffee??), cold showers (regardless of time), overall level of disorganization that feels like management and training are MIA. I'm not a hotelier, but I do travel a lot. Some recommendations: 1) if you can't change the check-in process, have at least 2 people at the bar/check-in, 2) make sure you have coffee in the morning and offer some basic items (pastries) for purchase (I don't want a taco a french fries at 8 AM), 3) fix the hot water (seems reasonable?), 4) stop trying so hard to be hip. Just focus on getting some of the basics right. The rooftop is cool, but I will stay somewhere else next time and come for a drink.
