Spent an unexpected 3 nights in this hotel when our flight to Dubai was cancelled following the flooding at the airport. Firstly our group (who had spent the previous two weeks touring Sri Lanka with a guide) were very pleased with the standard of accommodation offered by Emirates while we awaited our rescheduled flights to Ireland via Dubai. My husband and I were offered a Junior Suite. It was very spacious, clean, comfortable and had magnificent views from the 16th floor. Dining in the 4th floor Ayu restaurant offered multiple choices for every meal. At times some food items weren't as hot as they could have been ....always an issue with buffet meals. Drinking water offered came from a tap which Europeans are not inclined to accept fearing tummy bugs etc. Anushka took care of our room. He was very courteous and friendly and also ensured that we had an adequate supply of water, toiletries, tea and coffee. The area outside the hotel is not very attractive. There are plenty of tuk tuks ready to bring you wherever you want to go but we were hassled a bit by men saying they were hotel employees wanting us to attend a special "gem sale". We were quite firm in our refusal and as a result we weren't pursued any further. Saying "NO" very firmly seems to be the way to drive the message home. We didn't feel unsafe while out walking thankfully. Shopping in the area is limited and you need to take a tuk tuk in order to explore the city's sights and good shopping areas. Always agree the price before taking a tuk tuk trip!

Had a casual family dinner at Aditya Indian restaurant . It was simply amazing. The food was exceptional. Server Hamis and Nimesh were very courteous and attentive. You can try thier Panipuri Complementary dish wich I tried for the first time and since I liked it so much Hamis was kind enough to serve us more of it . Really appreciate their hospitality. Spcail thanks and Regards to Restaurant Manager Samadhi who happened to visit us and checked on the service . Thank you so much for all the staff who made it a very comfortable dining for us . Nice experience here in the rooftop bar Vistas, staff here were nice and friendly, with a good hospitality and willing to provide helps to customers. Enjoying the sunsets here with a nice mocktail, with the view of the indian ocean and colombo.

This was booked for by Trailfinders for a pre night before our tour. The hotel is gorgeous , roof top bar and pool, a great size gym with ocean views and a few restaurants in the hotel . We opted to stay at the hotel for day it was so nice upstairs , good prices for a 5 star hotel . The breakfast was also nice such a range of different foods and freshly cooked options . The staff were very attentive and friendly . The room was spacious with 2 sinks in the bathroom (always a bonus as a female ) with a large shower. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend. We ate in the Thai restaurant which was also really good

Thusitha Mangala was very helpful, polite and professional. My husband and I would like to thank him for his help with arranging for the driver and giving us directions and tips during our stay. We all definitely go back to Movenpick hotel for our next stay.

Celebrated my sons birthday at Aditya Indian Restaurant. They have arranged a nice cake for him. Peaceful location and ideal for a celebration. Well organised and super service. Food was good , but hope to see more varieties in future. Will revisit and recommended.

Amazing service!! Location : Vistas roof top bar. Sajini was a delight! Her service was perfect and on point! I am very happy about my visit here only because of her service! And I will come back for this! Don’t miss the view and the service of this place!! P.S. the hotel should have more vegetarian options.

I had wonderful stay in Movenpick Colombo. Truly exceeded my expectations! Splendid hospitality from the team, special mention to Mr Dinesh, Ms Ganguli and the whole front office staffs, never forgetting the concierge person as well! The rooms are top notch with a beautiful Seaview. Sunset from my room was 1 hell of a view. The breakfast was delicious. The chefs were friendly and professional. Truly loved my stay at movenpick Colombo. Will definitely stay again whenever I visit Sri Lanka.

We stayed two nights in Colombo and this was ideal as we landed after 16 hours of international flights. Good size rooms. Japanese restaurant was good, but with all hotel meals it was a little expensive. Would stay here again - no problem. Also well located for the rest of Colombo

Great room, spacious, we got sea view. The roof top pool is excellent! Perfect spot for the sunset. The staff is very kind and helpful, they improved our experience. We didn’t have time to check out the spa and beauty parlor as a Quick Look and looked great. Cocktails are not the best, so you’d better stick with beer or wine.

I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for the delightful experience I had at move n pick high tea and pub restaurant .The ambiance was inviting, the service impeccable, and the selection of treats and beverages was exceptional. also got an excellent service from Sajini,Dinusha, Nisanka, dilshan and supun. Thank you for creating such a memorable and enjoyable atmosphere. I look forward to visiting again soon!

Food was very tasty and the staff was very friendly. There was a nice variety of foods. Marvellous experience we loved it and would recommend it to everyone good varieties of spread .
