Hotel Arenas del Mar Resort

We are currently here, and I pleasantly surprised after reading the previous posts, Food in much like any other all inclusive, but better than some, the hotel is spotlessly clean, all the staff are friendly, yes it's windy, but that's not the hotels fault!! There are plenty of sunbeds. We are all having a great time, and it's fabulous being on holiday again,

This place has very little to no care at all for disabled people, it was so hard to access the ballroom area for my dad that uses a wheelchair, my family had to make accommodations to pick him up and use 3 very bad planned stairs to be able to use a very small elevator. Would not recommend at all.

Currently staying at the hotel, it previously had stated it was adults only. Upon arriving there were a few families, wasn’t so bad. We left our stuff in the room and proceeded the the pool area. I jumped in the pool and the water felt warm. Possibly heated. We started with some drinks $140 pesos for a piña colada & a brisa marina. One was sweet and the other was ok. My boyfriend and I then decided to try the smaller size at $80 pesos each - a vampiro & a mango daiquiri, again, both too sweet to drink. I informed 2 waiters one had the vampiro remade, the other waiter said said they measure the alcohol, I don’t like to argue so I let him know we don’t mind paying for our drinks but all of our mixed drinks were too sweet so I made the switch. Stick to the cheaper drinks, not worth the money when nobody listens.

What an awesome place! We got the presidential suite (3br, 3 bath, kitchen, 2 balcony). Food was amazing (try the “Marlin al pastor”) access to the pool and beach through second floor is wonderful. We received a great treat from the moment we walked in. Staff is great and waiters really strive to to their best. Place is clean and nice. My wife took a spa massage and we used the gym also. We definitely will come back!!!

Parece ser un buen hotel pero las habitaciones están viejas y algo sucias . No hay refrigerador, no nos dieron toallas la secadora de cabello no funcionó las almohadas muy muy feas! Las sábanas fatales y aparte no había elevador . No hay quien suba las maletas en fin nunca regresaría

Buen hotel y bien ubicado pero malas estrategias de servicio. La habitación que me dieron no tenía alcance el wifi. No había toallas disponibles, esto último como consecuencia de que el hotel da acceso a las instalaciones de playa, alberca, restaurante y baños a cualquier persona esté o no hospedada con un simple pago tipo cover. Esto mega satura las instalaciones y hace poco agradable la estancia de quienes estamos gastando en un hospedaje completo en un hotel que no es barato y que debiera garantizar tu satisfacción. Durante mi estancia (unos días previo a semana santa) la alberca estaba a reventar y las instalaciones de playa igual. El agua de alberca quedó gris al final del día. Los guardias de seguridad te hostigan hasta por unos cacahuates que no hayas comprado en el hotel, y lo entiendo, pero lo malo es que no tienen el mismo estándar pues llegan visitantes que quizá viven en Tampico y usan las instalaciones de este hotel con frecuencia (pues es muy barato el cover y tienes aun mejores privilegios que los que pagamos hospedaje) y con un simple apretón de manos los dejan entrar, los cuales llevan hieleras con cerveza, comida y botana y no aplican el mismo criterio. De repente están tan saturadas las instalaciones que cualquier persona que va pasando por la playa se mete a d**** un chapuzón a la alberca y entra a los baños y no les dicen nada; sin embargo con los que usamos el brazalete rojo de huéspedes... y que sí estamos pagando hospedaje... nos hacen "marca personal" hostigándonos y atentos a lo que consumimos. Puedes hospedarte en un hotel barato, ir a este hotel, pagar el cover de acceso y listo!! Tendrás mejores beneficios que los que pagan hospedaje ahí. Una opción más, es que puedes pagar hotel barato en otro lado y vas a la playa frente a este hotel y rentas una sombrilla con sillas ($200) y te sitúas frente a la playa del hotel Arenas del Mar, la cual es libre y te puedes llevar tus cervezas, comida y botana estando más cerca del mar y sin que nadie te hostigue. Eso hace mucha gente y cuando quiere ir al baño o d**** un chapuzón en la alberca o un regaderazo luego de meterte al mar... simplemente se cuela a las instalaciones del hotel arenas del mar como le hace todo mundo y asunto resuelto.
