Villa Bertagni

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Villa Bertagni. We were able to explore the surrounding area and fell in love with Northern Tuscany. Moshki was a gracious host and made us feel very welcome.

What a wonderful stay! Villa Bertagni looked even better in reality than it did in pictures! What a beautiful place to spend a few days - we were so happy to find it! Our room was comfortable with all the mod cons and furnished with lovely antiques. Great and peaceful location to use as a base to explore the surrounding mountains and 2 pools to relax in when we arrived back. Thanks Moshik for all your great recommendations and your delicious breakfasts each morning that enhanced our stay.

Although the villa looks very nice and the main building looks very nice and luxury, the room we had was so, so… You feel the moisture. The furniture was all in style, but close to breaking apart. The villa is 2km from the village. Not pleasant to walk. Breakfast was okay

There are no such things A dream of a place Moshik and Patty's villa is amazing. Our rooms were great, clean and spacious, comfortable bed.. large and spacious shower room with royalty bathtubs. Breakfasts worth waiting for. Patty thinks of every detail.. We received recommendations, explanations and landmarks where to park and where to eat and what should be seen, they booked us a place at different restaurants for dinners.. they really made the trip for us.. For those who care about a shower and not a bath, it is worth noting.. and most of the rooms do not have air conditioning - but at night we did not need it and during the day we traveled. 2 lovely swimming pools.. Tuscany is wonderful - every frame is like from a movie.. the roads are challenging but the trip is worth the effort. We enjoyed every moment.

The service, the silence and the hospitiality.

Tucked away in the hills of northern Tuscany, a bit off the beaten path is Villa Bertagni- a meticulously restored villa with clean and spacious rooms, two refreshing pools, beautiful grounds and the friendliest and most welcoming hosts, Patty and Moshik. The rooms are beautiful, although not all of them have AC or a shower so make sure to ask for the rooms with those amenities if important to you. Since the villa is high in the mountains, we didn't miss the AC even being there in the heat of July. Patty and Moshik went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed when there, and Patty was like our own private trip planner in Tuscany. She planned out itineraries, made reservations, provided amazing breakfast every morning, and treated us like family. Highly recommend!!! In addition to the Villa, Patty and Moshik also have a small B&B in the center of Florence; Cimatori B&B. We ended up staying there for a night as well, due to a scheduling mix-up with our original booking in Florence. Cimatori is a simple B&B with small, but beautifully furnished rooms and bathroom that saved our stay in Florence!

We have been to Tuscany about 1/2 dozen times and this has become our favorite stay. The pictures just begin to give the villa justice. The loving care that the owner has put in this place is astonishing. The owner, Patricia, is both an architect and art lover. Every piece looks hand picked and is a treasure. A feast for the eyes. As for the service. It is more like Patricia and Moshik take just as much loving care of their guests. Breakfast is delightful and delicious with a new added treat, home-made baked goodness each day. And the coffees are really excellent. Patricia was our own travel organizer as she would make suggestions for us to see, places to eat and things to do. She even sent us to just the right wine shop. Take her advice! It is invaluable. The accommodations. Loved the romantic style and detail of the rooms. We were two couples and we slept so well every night. There is a nice keurig/coffeemaker in the room. Nice for those of us who wake up early. The groounds themselves are vast and lovely to take a stroll in. Do not hesitate in choosing Villa Bertagni. We are sure glad we did.
