We started our Colombia adventure with 2 nights in Cartagena and certainly chose well with this hotel. It’s clearly a 5 star hotel with beautiful historic facilities in a great location for easy walkability that felt safe in the Old City. You enter a grand lobby and are escorted in old style fashion to the desk for check-in and then to your room - we had one of the standard ocean view rooms that was a bit small but adequate and very well appointed and with a feeling of luxury. The rooftop pool area had nice areas for seating, a great pool, unobtrusive but helpful service, and panoramic views of the city and the sea. Breakfast was from the menu and a nice buffet and was included as part of our package (the Allure package that also included airport transportation and 2 massages). The spa area was also very nice with good massages. We ate 2 meals a day in Harry Sassoon’s because it was convenient and everything we got was good with a nice menu selection and good service. On return to Cartagena we’ll definitely be repeat visitors.

The hotel is very nice and quite exquisite. The best parts are the staff and the convenient location, as well as the views from the rooftop. You can safely explore the Old City and Getsemani from here, as well as walk to the local marina for the Rosario Island excursions. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and are exceptionally hospitable. The breakfast is included and good, with many offerings. I would recommend eating at the restaurant with some hesitation because the food was hit and miss. Definitely avoid the beef dishes. All of them were just grilled, without any seasoning, and tasted bland, excluding the hamburger, which was juicy, well seasoned, and delicious. The ceviche, however, was amazing and the cheesecake and bread pudding were also very good. We really enjoyed these dishes. Their fresh bread was not bad either and we enjoyed the assorted fritter appetizer. The cocktails were very, very disappointing and it felt like the bartenders were all in training, learning how to make drinks. It’s better to stick with their wine selection or beer. If you want a cocktail, I’d recommend walking out the front door and heading down the road to El Baron in the square in front of San Pedro or heading atop the wall just across from the hotel, where you can get excellent cocktails at Baluarte de San Francisco Javier.

We hosted our daughter's wedding at this hotel. Excellent place, great service, impecable from all angles. Greatly recommended. Good is great, people are very nice. We are delighted to have chosen Santa Teresa for this special occasion.

The staff was helpful and delightful, the hotel was beautiful, the food was fantastic. What a lovely place. Our family was there for a few days for our first trip to Cartegena. The hotel is in an ideal location and it was a great introduction to the city

amazing staff and service ! the beds were amazing and pillows extra soft . love the attention given and the amenities. hospitality is amazing right as you walk into the door. The breakfast buffet is so good ! And the main restaurant serves amazing shrimp cocktail. Can’t wait to go back.

Excelent hotel. It has a great view of the city from the ceiling. The swimming pool is not tiny (like many others) The rooms are large, very nicely decorated, the bathroom were clean, impecable. The front desk and concierge people were more than nice, always with a smile, always helping. They gave very good ideas for what to do, where to go to visit the city and good restaurantes to eat.

At about 356USD a night, I am disappointed. There were bugs in the room, and the room smelt musty. Called the front desk and they sent someone to my room with a can of bug spray. Went to the front desk to check out and then was suddenly offered a different room, then an upgrade. Declined both. Was asked to leave my email so management could contact me. Stated I didn’t believe, management would reach out. Was told “we aren’t like that”. Of course Management never reached out. Would recommend another location in Cartagena, many excellent spots.

Amazing service, excellent attention to the guests. Restaurants and bars were wonderful. The location of the hotel could not be better. Will stay there again. Ronal concierge was very helpful and informative. We had a great experience because of Ronal. The entire staff was wonderful and helpful.

The hotel is beautiful, but is crying for maintenance. The rooms are amazing, but cleanliness fails and the mattress and curtains were not working. For the price charged, too expensive. On the other hand, the fact that all restaurants are managed with the same supplier, food is the same all over and pricey. Service standards have decreased, lacks the warmth and kindness and attentiveness that used to be there. Taking into account the options, management should be watchful.
