Camping Sol de Calpe Austral - Caravan Park

Anna an der Rezeption war ausgezeichnet und sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Stellplätze sind groß und die Toiletten sauber und modern. Bars und Strand sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Lidl 200 Meter entfernt und Mercat Supermarkt. Bleiben Sie immer, wenn Sie in Calpe sind.

Wifi non existent but only on ours and couple more pitches. Raised with Reception, at first they claimed due to a power cut making me feel I was stupid for not knowing that. Later claimed knew nothing but would report it in the morning. Later I found wifi was fully available on the rest of the site. Receptionist acknowledged she knew that was the case and known problem specific to our pitch and either side. Suggested I raise with manager next morning. Manager was not interested in my complaint, even when I suggested they sold me a pitch knowing the wifi was not working. When I asked for a discount or partial refund she was not interested possibly because she knew we leaving that day. When I pressed her she said we were not entitled to a refund because we had not paid for wifi. I said we had as part of the package. She scoffed “no it is complimentary, you only paid for the pitch and ehu”! What a joke.

Much to expensive for facilities Manageress very rude and aggressive and unhelpful when complained about the Wi-Fi said they were having work done which I don’t believe as a lot of other people were complaining as well There is also a lot of building work going on around the campsite being woken up at 7:30 they have sold off part of the site for more building work so will not be returning ever again.

We are first time visitors to Calpe. We stayed 6 nights here on this spotless site. The showers and laundry were well kept and all were working. The pool area and the pool were welcome in the September temperatures (31°C).

During our 6 week tour of France and Spain in February and March we spent 7 nights in Calpe. The camp site was super although very busy with people from all over Europe, mainly Germany and Belgium. The ablution block was really clean and they had a really good Laundrette. There was a Lidl over the road and the beach was two blocks away, about 500 yards. There is a pool but the weather was a bit cool to swim. We did feel a bit like a sardine at times as there was not a great deal of room on the pitch. The staff were really nice and helpful. There were full facilities to deal with both black and grey water. On the waterfront there is an abundance of restaurants and cafe's. Short walk to the marina with more places to eat, walk the other way and you are in town. Yes we would go back.
