Portofino Inn Burbank

Customer service was very good. Location a few minutes drive to main tourist attractions. Breakfast was great

Fair breakfast, very good service in reception and breakfast management

Pros: Nice water pressure, sparkling clean toilet, cold mini fridge (kept ice cream frozen and water bottles chilly from fridge), good tasting ice Cons: Weird clicking noise all night, trash not emptied, stained chaise, no bag for ice bucket, dirty soap tray Our room looked and smelled clean, but there was a pink stain on the chaise lounge, the soap tray had a brown circle of gunk on it, and there was still trash in one of the trash cans. I was not about to use an ice bucket with no bag in it, but at least the plastic cups were individually wrapped. The mini fridge was nice and cold, keeping our ice cream pints frozen and chilling out complimentary Kirkland water bottles in 20 mins. Even though I closed the shower curtain fully, and made sure the magnets were properly attached on the inside of the tub, there was a pool of water on the floor when I came out. The bed was decently comfortable and springy, but the bedspread was very thin and the "fitted sheet" was a flat sheet that was too small for the bed, not covering the bottom 2 inches on the top. The continental breakfast was full of somehow-dry danishes and chocolate filled crepes. Coffee was meh, cereal options were good, but I didn't see milk. I did see yogurt, but it didn't feel the least bit cold.

Nightly rates was reasonable. Check in and check out was a breeze. Front desk agent was very welcoming and friendly.

Fantastic 2 night stay. Friendly and welcoming. Room was nice and clean. Bed was fairly comfortable but mattress was quite worn down on the one side. Air conditioner was very noisy. All in all we still slept quite well.

Scott is fantastic! Quickly handled my late reservation. Alfredo is very gracious. Had a wonderful conversation with him.

This is a nice simple motel. That’s very very comfortable. Burbank is a great town to stay in. The motel is only a bridge away from downtown Burbank. The studios are within a few miles. I like the people who run the place.

All the staff were very helpful. This is so important for solo travellers on first visit to USA from Australia. Scott was extremely pleasant and efficient when I booked for 3 nights instead of 4! Thank you Scott!

Alfredo took care of me to double check when I would be checking in since there was some travel time. This part of Hollywood has the retro charm, felt completely safe, and was near the best high end Mexican restaurant Don Cumo ever. Hotel is a classic but has been totally renovated and maintained. Free parking, free breakfast, near Universal and old Hollywood charm. Neighborhood is really cute!
