If this is old school hospitality, I'm so glad to have experienced it. The room was spotless, even the bathroom, despite having yellowed a little from age (it was built ~20 years ago, according to newspaper clippings about the owners on the 2nd floor!). The hosts are very welcoming and their hospitality is excellent - for the first time I had face soap, makeup remover and an actual scrunchie provided for me in a guest house. Even the TV can be turned for you to watch from the bed or beside it at the table. There are private onsen facilities on site for free (just gotta pay the legal tax required). The interior looks like old fashioned British houses but with tons of dolphin themed decorations (that the owners like presumably :)) The house is a 20min walk from Futo Station, but the path is very walkable and it also means the place is very serene and peaceful at night. I'd love to go back there.

I had a fantastic experience at Forest Glaming! The staff, including Mr. Terada & the cool dude with long hair, were not only incredibly friendly but also made an effort to communicate with me in English and encouraged my attempts at speaking Japanese. Despite missing the shuttle bus, Mr. Terada kindly came to pick me up. The resort is a serene haven, offering tranquility and the cleanest toilets I've ever encountered. ✨Being tented near the shower and toilet facilities was an added bonus. 😮💨The food was outstanding, especially the aged domestic beef 🍖 BBQ. The only disappointment was not having the chance to share the wonderful dinner with the staff. I totally recommend Forest Glaming to anyone seeking a rejuvenating escape with exceptional service and facilities. The staff's warmth and willingness to engage in different languages truly enhanced my stay. Fantabulous!!! 😍🥰

非常愉快的一次日式旅店入住體驗。 旅店距離伊豆高原站有不到一公里，但領着行李箱還是不太方便步行，建議在火車站外打個車，一個起步價680日元即達。 從進入旅店的那一刻，就能感覺到細緻周到熱情的服務態度。晚餐是懷石料理，流程上是很有架勢了，好吃倒是談不上多好吃。 房間是日式榻榻米，晚餐時會有服務人員進入房間鋪榻榻米。房間兩面是森林，晚上暖氣很足，聽着外面的呼呼風聲，喝着茶 很愜意。 旅店有7個私湯，我們泡了4個，很知足了。從性價比來説，已經很高了。近3000元人民幣的價格不算便宜，但又是懷石料理又是7個私湯再加上無微不至的服務，比國內酒店性價比高太多了。 早上在旅店附近可走到海邊懸崖及吊橋 景色很棒。

This hotel was surprisingly good. I think I might have gotten an upgrade to a six-person room, but even if it was a single room, I'd give it the same score. First, the check-in process was super quick, and you get an hour of private onsen time for every night you stay. On top of that, the owner even drove me to Mount Omuro in the morning! The only thing I regret is not booking breakfast, because it looked absolutely delicious.

The room size was ideal for families, providing comfortable space for everyone. Highlights: The breakfast was fantastic with excellent variety and quality. The onsen was a real treat after busy days exploring, offering genuine relaxation for the whole family. Location: Perfectly situated for visiting Mount Omuro and the local zoo. The area offers numerous attractions, and the hotel serves as an excellent base for exploring everything Izukogen has to offer. Verdict: Highly recommended for families seeking comfortable accommodation with traditional Japanese amenities whilst exploring this beautiful region.

Большой, уютный номер за разумные деньги, есть небольшая столовая в японском стиле, хорошая кровать и подушки, отель окружен виллами, потрясающая природа, все цвело вокруг, утром пели птицы. Гулять по району - одно удовольствие, 10 минут до ресторанов (есть классические европейские, есть традиционные японские), 15 минут пешком до тропы Jogasaki, очень крсивый трек вдоль океана, идти легко, людей мало. 10-15 минут пешком до жд станций. В отеле есть онсен, классно, что можно пойти семьей, он закрывается под семью, если забронировать. Мы не бронировали, было свободно. очень приветливый персонал, вечером предложили нам пожарить маршмелоу на терассе, очень романтично. Советуем этот отель и весь этот район.

Gut, das erste Mal, dass es in Japan so etwas wie ein mildes Volk erlebt hat. Ich habe ein bisschen Japans frühes Gefühl, das Bild des Zimmers zu sehen. Es ist immer noch sehr angenehm, wenn man auf dem Mais klimaanlaget. Das Badezimmer ist öffentlich, aber auch sauber. Die Hausbesitzer sind auch sehr gut. Wir haben die Stadt und die Küste abgeschlossen, direkt mit dem Auto kommen, die Küste ist sehr gut mit dem Auto zu fahren, oder Sie können gehen, die ganze Straße ist ruhig und komfortabel Nach dem Aufenthalt ist es wirklich schön, die Karte zu öffnen, und es ist wirklich schön, dass es niemand mehr gibt.

I didnt stay at this hotels. Had some urgent things. But my family enjoyed it, big room for a family of 4, playground and playroom. Right at the zoo. Not very far from the station but uphill, so for the families with children and no car can be a bit difficult to reach. Onsen is not big, no outdoor bath. But still realy good place to stay

Traditional room with futon to sleep. Apparently the floor is not full tatami. Kinda different from japanese traditional room i've been at. As person from former USSR space i would say this place has ”soviet hotel vibe”, for japanese people i guess its more of ”showa” vibe. The onsen is actually public bath locals also use (which i am personally more than fine with), has both styled indoor bath and outdoor bath. Outside there are free cooling beverages and some ice cream to buy (i couldn't imagine how good it goes after bath). Staff is very nice and tried their best to explain everything to me in english even though didn't manage to and we switched to japanese but i appreciate the effort

The host is extremely helpful, the view is decent. Not a bad spot if u wanna visit Mt. Omuro. Overall, it was a satisfying experience. The only concern is the dark path leading to the accommodation at night, as it has limited lighting and is quite quiet.
