Hotel Agua Azul - Adults Only

Fantastic little hotel and great friendly staff though out the hotel rooms lovely and kept clean cant fault the service by all staff members food great and a lot to choose from entertainment good though out the day will definitely be coming bk and we are really enjoying our holiday will miss it when we leave on Monday thanks for a great holiday close to shops and beach based between old and new town would recommend to.any one.

My last couple of hours at this amazing hotel. Couldn't find fault in anything! ( Well maybe a bigger pool would be nice. But I don't think anything can be done about that.) From day one all staff fantastic, nothing too much trouble. My room was modern clean and very comfortable bed. Shower was excellent. Nice size patio. Had a problem with food as too much choice of lovely things to eat. Drinks menu best I've ever seen. The kitchen catered for all tastes, monkfish dishes and lamb dishes where my favourites short walks to old and new town . Couldn't be placed in a better spot. I can't thank the staff enough for my fantastic couple of weeks. When I come back to Benidorm there's only one place I'll be staying in the future. Oh well! Better go get my transfer

There are elements of this hotel which are exceptional . Reception staff super helpful and accommodating. Hotel is clean. Quality of food is good. Drinks are good with premium brands. Pool are not open till 9am, stops the 5am sun bed fun! Hotel manager is so hands on and runs a great hotel. Daytime music by the pool lovely Sax player. Location is great. Beds clean and comfortable. Some quick wins for this hotel: Ensure all bar staff are as friendly as Irene and Carolina. The water machine that is on during breakfast needs to be on during lunch and mealtimes. This would reduce the queue at the bar and also the water bottles. Better for the environment. Move the ice cream nearer to serving area. Staff waste time having to move between the different elements of the bar. Think possible about having one serving space for both outside and inside drinks. Look to have a courtesy room for those with late flights. First four star hotel I have stayed stayed in that did not have this facility. The smaller solo rooms need to be offered at a cheaper price. Move cabana beds to the terrace to allow more sun loungers by the pool. Longer term: Rooms will need upgrading soon. Some woodwork and grouting needs attention. Black tiles make the rooms feel smaller. These should be replaced over time. Air conditioning is not as effective as other hotels. Overall a great hotel which needs a little attention if it is going to remain one of the best hotels in Benidorm.

So pleased we booked this hotel. We stayed in room 106 which overlooked the pool and it was great, plenty of room, there are bedside tables though not with draws just an opening and they are quite sufficient and we found the wardrobes good too. The beds and pillows were so comfy. The glass at the bathroom was not a problem for us but just to make sure we didn't forget it, I left the bathroom light on with the door shut, which just gave a glow to the bathroom during the night. The hotel is about a 4 minute walk from the old town, it's in a perfect position. The pool was just the right size for the hotel, although there is the usual sunbed wars, the hotel have taken the steps of removing towels and belongings up until 10am on which people have been absent for 20 minutes. This stopped people from reserving sunbeds and going off for the day. This rule was enforced every morning. I will say the sunbeds could do with being a little comfier and they need to leave an opening at each entrance into the pool so people who are not immediately at the side of the sunbed can pass through to get into the pool. There are 2 further sunbathing areas one up the stairs at the back of the pool and one at the side of reception on the ground floor, this one has showers but doesn't get sun until 1pm onwards. The food is plentiful, my husband loved his cooked breakfast every morning and at lunch and dinner you could always find something that you could enjoy. There is also a snack bar at back of the pool which provides snacks, we found the hot dogs excellent. The pool also has live entertainment some days which is great. The entertainment at night we found no fault with. We enjoyed all we watched. The age range at the hotel was mixed as was nationalities. The drinks were branded. However if you wanted any lager other than Anstil, there was an extra charge. The hotel could do with another lager on tap, as a lot of men, my husband included, would have preferred lager, but not liking Anstil, they were forced to drink shorts. I would have thought that providing another choice of larger would actually save the hotel money in the long run. All staff worked extremely hard and we're very pleasant. The cleaners were amazing. We will definately be back to the hotel Agua Azul as this will now be our go to hotel for Benidorm. Finally, I would like to say thank you to all the wonderful staff for making our holiday so enjoyable.

Great all inclusive Adult only hotel, nice rooms with comfortable beds. Plenty of good food to suit everyone's tastes. All Inclusive Drinks that are plentiful on measures. Evening entertainment is varied as well as entertainment round pool area. Plenty of areas for smoking Pilar at reception was very helpful

This was our second visit and the was amazing as always. We did notice improvements, the entertainment was loads better and the food was too. As always the staff were helpful and friendly. Over all great hotel. We will definitely be coming back again.

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. We've previously been dropped off outside this hotel when staying elsewhere and have always said we need to try it. We booked here for 10days with my mum and dad to celebrate my 2nd wedding anniversary with my husband. Only let down is we hadn't booked here sooner! Rooms, and areas of the hotel are so clean. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. We had booked a day trip and were able to collect packed lunches from reception (ordered the day before). Dining room is so clean, and a lovely variety of foods each night. (Husbands highlight is the pancake machine ) Lovely range of cocktails included on the all inclusive menu & ice cream, we've previously stayed in hotels where this was extra. Central location so able to explore new or old town. You do struggle to get a sunbed by the pool, but the Solarium at the rear is fabulous, quiet and overlooked as bar is downstairs. 1000% recommend and we shall be back

A lovely warm welcome from the reception staff & always a cheery hello or good night . We paid extra for pool view & was happy with our 6th floor room . Rooms are open plan - very clean, spacious , beds are very comfortable , plenty of wardrobe space but no drawers , a good shower , miniature toiletries provided but I’d prefer bigger options within the shower cubicle, I took my own shampoo/conditioner, there’s separate WC with frosted glass door ( could be a issue if not with nearest & dearest) & then the sink unit which is behind glass partition which we found ok (some visitors don’t like this about the rooms) the A/C & safe included at no extra cost , room cleaned & towels changed daily. A/inc Food - we found plenty of choice at all meals , food nice & hot , great selection of salad , main dishes & desserts & fruit , I didn’t have much from cooking station- always a queue when I looked ( bad timing on my part) , you can easily do a nice 3 course meal . Personal preference- tables to be set with 2 sets of cutlery instead of just the one , you either save your knife & fork or get another set . Snack bar also had a nice enjoyable selection of food. Drinks - tried a couple of cocktails included in A/inc but not very nice , strike me down for saying this but spirits with mixers can be served too strong which makes the drink not very enjoyable, bar staff need to get measures better balanced. Gripe of mine - plastic glasses in the evening , totally cannot stand this , drinks don’t taste great . Glasses only indoors. We tried the wine /cava but not nice ( personal opinion) , bottled water readily available. Entertainment- some good ones but some not so but nice to have the option to watch . We didn’t stay at the hotel for the entertainment- we like to go out & about , came back to the hotel for a nightcap , feel a bit cooped up indoors where the entertainment was situated. It was nice to have the singers during the day. Staff - most gave you a friendly smile when serving you, some I felt were a bit robotic especially in the evening- just literally asked you what you wanted - no eye contact , just put drinks on the bar & moved onto next person , also they don’t really notice who’s next to be served ! I don’t want a circus act when getting a drink but as a guest I felt a bit uncomfortable at the bar. Pool/towels - pleasant pool , cool but refreshing!! Sun loungers packed in & guests queuing to get the beds nearly an hour before the pool doors were opened at 9am . Like other Benidorm hotels sun moves about during the day , loss of sun happens frequently. Check out - smooth & early breakfast arranged due to our pick up time also happily printed off our boarding passes when we asked . Generally a beautiful, welcoming, bright & clean hotel . A great location for both the old town & the new area of Benidorm, we said we would return & recommend this hotel - the odd bits mentioned are personal to me & my husband & can easily be changed eg just ask for a w
