Great location, right on the Main Street of Alnwick. The room was fine and the beds comfortable. My one comment would be that the shower was an overhead one so not easy to shower without getting your hair wet. Pleasant bar Harry’s and breakfast was fine in the Olympic room. So we would definitely go back again.

Das Hotel war sehr geliebt, für die Bequemlichkeit des Schlosses und der Gärten ausgewählt und auch für hervorragende Bewertungen waren beide perfekt. Sehr schöne Zimmer, schöne Dekoration und Atmosphäre im ganzen Hotel. Die Mitarbeiter waren brillant, freundlich, warm und immer freundliche Grüße. Sehr komfortable Lounge-Area, hervorragender Service für Getränke und alle Mahlzeiten. Große Kochen. Das ganze kleine Team bietet einen goldenen Stern Service. Alnwick ist eine wunderschöne Stadt und wir genossen die Burg und Garten.

Best Sunday lunch. It was my brothers birthday and he asked for recommendations in Alnwick as if was a mid way point between him and his wife in Durham and their son and wife in Tranent for Sunday lunch along with other family members . Well this place was fantastic lovely cosy bar area with plenty of room. We were a table of 10 with one high chair and a dog. The staff were so welcoming nothing was a problem, the roast sirloin was to die for and there was a great selection of vegetables, roast and mashed potato, swede, carrots, peas, cauliflower cheese and red cabbage, also the most enormous Yorkshire pudding and plenty of gravy with an extra jug also supplied, others had the pork, ham and brisket all of which were delicious. We also had two very young children who had the junior chicken portions which were huge but they more or less demolished them. Everything was perfect, a big thank you to the chef, waiting staff and bar staff, we will be back

Find for the third time in a row staff hurry to serve and run away too much, not asked if we wanted sauces, extra drinks etc and we ended up chasing the staff, asked for extra napkins and they were dumped on the table without a word. We come for the food which is excellent but sadly the staff again surly, hurrying you, hurrying food order and that’s a shame. Competition is fierce in Alnwick amble shilbottle and surly staff not doing any good. Girl at reception complaining to another how the phone had never stopped ringing and moaning about it, sorry I thought that was a good sign! We were served at the bar by a brilliant guy larger guy dark hair beard, chatty fun fast service and the best apart from chefs in the place. More of him is what you need! Asked if we could take desert home (cheesecake) told no sorry we don’t allow that….. WHY? We are locals not tourists and hoping you get your staff sorted before the next visit.

Wir hatten ein paar Tage sehr schön und fanden das Personal wirklich angenehm und glücklich, Ihnen zu helfen. Das Zimmer war überraschend groß und sehr komfortabel. Das Bett war gut, wir schliefen gut. Das Menü war sehr groß und ich hatte das thailändische Abendessen und es war das beste thailändische, das ich je hatte 5Stern zu dem Koch
