The staff were very friendly, spoke great English which was really helpful. The room was clean and had all of the essentials, even really good air conditioning. The hotel is in a perfect location, very close to local restaurants and shops. Breakfast was nice, always a good selection and fresh coffee. And the character of the building makes it all better, such a unique hotel and a great experience!

If you want to stay somewhere with plenty of character and atmosphere in Alghero Old Town, then go no further than Hotel San Francesco. Situated in a former 16th century monastery its like no other hotel I have stayed in. Although the rooms are small, they are spotless and have all the required amenities. The hotel is quiet. Breakfast is a treat and is taken in the Cloisters. Francesco and Lello are super friendly hosts and they just add to the all round great experience. You can enter the stunning Church from the hotel, so don't miss it. Five star experience.

I'm a solo traveller and this hotel was perfect for me in Alghero. Super clean, prime location at the heart of the old city. Close to supermarkets, cafes and to the bus to the airport. I slept in a twin room which had a bunk bed, a balcony, and ensuite bathroom. The room has air condition, coffee machine, dryer, table, chair and linen and towels are provided. Room is cleaned every day. The guys at the reception are super kind and helpful. I will definitely come back!

A nice hotel right in the centre of the old town, with the hotel appearing to occupy around 1/4 of the upper floors of the old building complex of the Church of San Francesco. The rooms are quite basic (no TV but not a problem) and small room, but the bed was comfortable and the room shutters allows for a very good nights sleep, and there was no noise from the pedestrian street outside. Breakfast was quite good for a small hotel (and for an Italian hotel which from my experience are normally quite simple). Special thanks to Frank for contacting me after Booking . yeah messed up a change to my reservation and cancelled all my rooms, but Frank helped me sort out the problem. An interesting hotel and well worth a stay if you want a hotel in the historic centre, rather than a beach resort hotel.

The location is wonderful, the staff is wonderful, the breakfast is wonderful—all for a very affordable price. The rooms are simple but nice. We always recommend it to visiting friends and they have not been disappointed. Thank you, Marco and amici!

Hotel nel centro dí Alghero con posizione fantastica, accoglienza ottima , colazione più che sufficiente, purtroppo la camera era veramente scadente: piccola, letto scomodo, mobili vecchi, finestra con una stecca rotta, bagno minuscolo con doccia inguardabile. Bellissimo il chiostro centrale. Peccato perché con una bella rinfrescata alle camere sarebbe top.

Nous y sommes restés une semaine. L'hôtel est très beau, l'ancien cloître ou prendre le petit déjeuner est magnifique. Le personnel est adorable, le petit déjeuner varié. Le seul bémol, la chambre, austère ce qui correspond au style qui ne supportera pas la modernité mais les équipements ( robinetterie, carrelages, peinture ) sont en mauvais état. Et je conseille une chambre au 2 e étage car la nôtre donnait sur la coursive et de ce fait les volets restent fermés et vous ne voyez jamais la lumière du jour. De plus si des personnes viennent fumer sur la coursive, votre chambre sent le tabac ..L'emplacement est génial par contre. Bilan plutôt positif tout de même grâce à la gentillesse du personnel

Ottimo albergo, pulito e funzionale. In una ottima posizione centrale permette di visitare tutto il centro storico comodamente a piedi. Vicinissimo a ristoranti e locali. Unica pecca: non ha l'ascensore (ha comunque solo due piani), consiglio in caso di prenotazione di chiamare e chiedere una camera al primo piano. Colazione abbondante e abbastanza ricca da consumare su una terrazza interna che affaccia sul chiostro... meraviglia! Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Stanze silenziose. Assolutamente consigliato.
