We had a great stay at Cecil. Our room was spacious and had a side view of the Mediterranean Sea. Amazing view throughout the day.

Very noisy, the room 201 I stayed in was filled with never ending car sirens every day all the day. Not recommended.

Old world charm with ALL the modern conveniences! Excellent breakfast buffet and beautiful interiors! Charming!

The historic character & beautiful old elevators are wonderful. The staff is kind & helpful. The breakfast buffet has a wide selection but wasn’t delicious. The coffee wasn’t very nice. We’ll be happy to return, of course.

From friendly staff, great access to most sites by walking, an amazing view my stay was excellent. I wanted to stay longer. But definitely coming back to Alexandria if I can stay in this hotel. I also loved the amazing Greek-Roman museum nearby

Customer service at this hotel is exemplary. The people at the front desk, and those helping with bags are professional, helpful, courteous, and kind. Breakfast is outstanding!

This is a historic building, sparking clean, awesome view of the Mediterranean with the prestigious Steinberger management but we had a bad experience. We arrived late first day. The room was very small and we had a problem in the water supply in our room which the house keeping could not resolve and we couldn't shower the first day after a long travel. The next day we were denied access to breakfast claiming that our itinerary did not include breakfast. We had to make a long distance call to ******* to resolve the problem only then we were allowed access as our reservation did include breakfast and the mistake was at the property side. So we didn't feel comfortable and requested to cancel the rest of our stay and find another place but the property said it was a non refundable reservation. ******* agent (Who was super helpful) was able to negotiate with the property to move us to another room which was spacious with no water problem and we could enjoy the rest of our stay. The staff was nice and the food was of high quality.
